Each cleaning and exam always ended with a warning to have a tooth extracted because of some imminent failure of a crown, old filling or a cracked tooth - none of these teeth were causing pain or other problems, but I was warned that I'd soon be calling "in middle of the night" in agony. WRONG. I still have these teeth nearly five years later! I have a new dentist. Two of my teeth have had the old fillings replaced and two teeth are on the "watch and wait' list for possible crowns. Do your due diligence. ALWAYS get a second opinion on elective procedures.

A few days ago, he got a bill for $223 for his cleaning. He called, and they told him that he was out of network after telling him it was covered. They said a cleaning was almost $490, so they wrote half of it off. This sounds like a huge bait and switch to us. He made sure that they carried his insurance and talked to them several times beforehand. They also recommended several expensive procedures for thousands of dollars. My advice is to beware of this practice.

This is not my original dentist that I go to, but we were close to this practice. So I went in an hour and a half later came out with a five minute bonding. They tried to sell me all this stuff about Bridges and plates and all this.. hand me sign something which I couldn't see cause I didn't have my glasses on. I was in the Dental chair. The only reason I went there is cause we were close to this spot. This is the worst establishment ever. I don't even think these people are real dentists. They had a helper that put in the bonding on my tooth. The last 10 minutes of my visit the first hour and 20 minutes was the insurance girl trying to explain to me that she's gonna get everything paid for by my insurance. Going real hog heavy into it how they can make the insurance pay for everything which I know is bull crap. Do not go to this practice! I have chronic pain and just laying in that dentist chair for an hour and a half for a 10 minute bonding was absolutely absurd. They're trying to grab as many people in there as possible. These new people that took over Gerlach are completely horrible. And I mean that by saying, I don't think that they are really dentists.. I now have a swollen face on my right side from where he did the bonding and apparently it is infected. I give this place an F minus. No wonder they got me in so quick. What a fool I was instead of calling my normal dentist.

After I arrived I was taken back to my room and assessed by the dental assistant. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. The doctor came in and proceeded to evaluate my tooth. He was able to replace the cap and I had no pain or problems since. I appreciate their quick attention to my needs and were able to fix the problem. A office staff came in with a breakdown of the procedures and costs. She gave me the total and my payment options. The expense was a little more than I expected but it was an emergency so I guess it will all be worth it in the long run. I am sorry I didn't catch the name of the Dr that I saw but he was very young and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

The dentist was so rough with me it caused extra pain, was frustrated with me because i wasnt numbing easily . Sent me home & said he cant help. I got the tooth removed same day from my regular dentist which lets me know he wasn't numbing me correctly and should go back to school . Idk if it was cause im black but i never had that experience & was never rude to expect him to act like he did. Ill never recommend this dentist to ANYONE . Go to first care dental pls .

With my previous dentist I had an allergic reaction to the fluoride but they kept pushing me to get it, the hygienists here are super great about not forcing me into it! The first time I came, Dr. Baker greeted me with a smile and a handshake, every time I've come after that, he's greeted me by name. He is quick and efficient. I wouldn't see Dr. Baker if you want anything sugar coated (no pun intended), because he is brutally honest about what problems you may have with your teeth and how to correct them, but I prefer and appreciate when my medical professionals are completely transparent with me. Their goodie bags are pretty great, too!

Two years ago, my plan failed and I had the worst pain my mouth I had ever felt. I found Dr. Ecken's office through my insurance and it was conveniently two miles from my house. I walked into the small waiting room and was met with the best dental experience of my life. This dentist is a straight shooter. She explained each part of the procedure we went through. Explained the x-rays to me, gave me details on problems, and had me in and out of the office in just under and hour. I come here for my regular teeth cleaning and I've always been brought back immediately for my appointment. Even after I move, I'll be coming back to this dentist.
