I decided to give this hairstylist a try after connecting with him through social media, but unfortunately my experience was not what I expected from a professional service provider. Throughout our interactions, I felt that his communication was overly flirtatious and not what I would consider appropriate between a hairstylist and client. I also felt that he was a little too touchy-feely, which made me uncomfortable and crossed what I consider to be normal professional boundaries. I was looking for a professional experience and felt that the focus should remain on providing the service and maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients. I got the worst cut and color I've ever had in my life at Richard Brent. It's been months and I'm still upset and feel like I look horrible. It will take years to get the growth back. I let them know at open the next day. It took 3 days to hear back. I was offered a wash, style and blowout (??!) from the owner as some sort of consolation. I just wanted my money back. I am very very disappointed with the cut I got from your Salon, I asked that my length wasn't taken away, just a 1/4 inch trim layers to be long and some simple bangs....the woman chopped my hair so short gave me very short layers and I do not have the bangs, I paid 59.00 and a 20.00 tip, please take me off your list, I will never be back, because your workers are doing what they want instead of what the customer wants, that's the last dollar your company will ever get from me, I could have got the same chopped up hair from Great Clips and saved myself 50.00 read more

There is a new stylist at Richard Brent Salon and she is amazing! I had a haircut and style. She took her time and really made me feel special. Her attention to detail and making sure I was satisfied with the service was of upmost importance to her. I can sincerely recommend the cut and color that I received at the salon. Richard, the owner, worked with me. I was very happy with the attention he gave to both my color and my cut. I have dry, very textured, curly hair and it's been colored for many years. I left with vibrant color and wonderful haircut. I went to this salon and asked for a Balayage. I have dark brown hair. Instead of brushing on the bleach, they weaved a comb in and out of my hair with each section, then applied the bleach to parts of the hair (like a highlight routine) and applied foils. When the results were done I had bright yellow streaks through my hair that went all the way to the top of my scalp and some sections were bigger than others. I also had a somewhat green tone to the yellow sections. I was very very displeased with the results. When I told the owner about my dissatisfaction they told me that's what a Balayage is and there isn't much else they can do. I ended up dyeing my hair back to dark brown later on because of how much I didn't like the result. read more

I've been going to Andee at Richard Brent for about 6 months now. The salon is clean, modern, and high-end. I initially visited Andee for a haircut and I was very impressed. She took her time, expertly cutting and styling my hair. The cut was a bit expensive, but well worth it. A month later, I visited Andee again for a balayage and trim. I was not disappointed. Had my hair done in late 2019 by a young stylist and she totally messed up my hair. She cut at least 6" too much off my hair and shaved the back of my head giving me an undercut without my knowledge. Another more senior stylist tried to fix it as best she could but needless to say it was still a mess. The owner offered me a complimentary cut from himself to use in a year but that darn pandemic hit and I just got around to calling now to schedule an appt. I called to follow up on the complimentary cut which was actually still noted on my account but The owner would not honor it or even offer a discount. I was well overdue for a cut and I had noticed that my curls on the top part of my head had started falling flat unlike the rest of my hair. I hadn't really cared much for layers when I wore my hair straight in the past but Richie had recommended for my curly hair that layers would bring them back. What a great place! The salon is beautifully designed and is very relaxing. As a man, I sometimes feel like in the wrong place if I go to a salon to get my hair trimmed. My First hair cut with Richard was excellent. Second, I had went back for a correction. Both appointments, I addressed with Richard, why I was not happy with my present color and what I wanted: No 6 for lowlights, highlights to a bright yellow blonde & more blonde than brown. What I got: Brown 1inch apart from dishwater blonde. Richard said," this is perfect." I said too dark. Arrived home my husband & friends for dinner stated your hair is too dark. Called salon, asked Richard call me next day, (I was giving a diner party). Richard called immediately, I said, I am having a dinner party can we speak tomorrow? He hung up on me. He had a staff member who would not give her name call and say, " I was to remove my post form the Better Business Bureau or there would be no refund. I still have the recorded message. This post is costing me $300.00 to inform you of my issues. My hair was falling out. I drove 500 miles to my former hair stylist. He said my hair had to be cut short for repair. He GAVE Me Olaplex products NO. 4,5,3 and Lanza Trauma Treatment. After five months my hair is getting better. Richard Brent would not refund my money unless I remove my BBB complaint.
