I'm in good health, excellent oral hygiene, see a dentist regularly, non smoker, so no special risk factors. Here's what went down: When I first called their office on a Monday morning due to severe pain in the molar Dr. G. previously treated, I was told that Dr. G was booked for the WHOLE WEEK, couldn't even spare 15 minutes for me, so I agreed to see his partner Dr. Bruckner. The office manager said the consult would be free because it was an evaluation of a root canal performed by their practice. After a quick exam and a few X-rays Dr. Bruckner claimed that he really needed a 3D scan to make sure of the tooth's prognosis. Then Dr. Bruckner left the room and his assistant came in and told me the scan would be $300! I was blindsided by this sneaky approach but was in pain and needed answers so agreed to get the scan. Then Dr. Bruckner showed me the scan and said the tooth was badly infected causing severe bone loss so it wasn't savable anymore, recommended I have it pulled and replaced with an implant elsewhere. Then Dr. Bruckner claimed the scan showed I need a root canal on a different asymptomatic tooth on the other side of my mouth, trolling for more business at a very bad time! I understand that not every treatment is successful, but charging me $300 to ensure that their own prior expensive procedure had FAILED (i.e., recurring pain and infection in the treated teeth less than 2 years later) seems unethical and mercenary. Especially when I had been told that the consult would be free! In response to Dr. Bruckner's response that "any medical office would charge me $300 for a CAT scan" that's simply untrue. The going rate for new patients on LI is $150 and the oral surgeon I saw afterward didn't charge me anything for the scan or consult. Their follow-up claims that both of my treated teeth miraculously cracked on their own (with no connection to their failed root canals) are laughable and factually untrue, also in violation of HIPAA laws to disclose this online. Not once did anyone from their office try to call or email me directly to resolve the situation directly. Horrendously painful and expensive lesson learned; NY Endodontic Associates may seem good and kind when you come in and they want your money, but don't count on getting long term results from their root canals. And if you have a problem afterward expect to be charged more and then kicked to the curb.

He took care of my teeth, doing 2 root canals in 1 visit. Aside from the anesthesia injections I felt no pain. Even when the anesthesia wore off I felt ok! Of course there was some swelling and soreness (to be expected) buy nothing like what root canals are hyped up to be. Dr Goziker is knowledgable and experienced. He even took care to make sure my crown wasn't damaged when he drilled behind the tooth. The procedure took less time than I'd anticipated and I was happy to be able to drive myself home. Ann, at the front desk is also very sweet and made me feel welcome when I anxiously entered the office. She gracefully answered my questions and helped arrange a payment plan that I could manage. She also called the next day to check on me and make sure I was feeling ok.

In August I needed to find a dentist to do some extensive work. I am 53 years old and over the last…read more40 years have had some really bad dental experiences. First I have extremly sensitive teeth and gums. There have been times in which a routine cleaning has brought me to tears in the chair from the pain. I've had extractions and root canals done in the past by other dentists and had complications, would be in pain afterwards for days, and one time I woke up from the sedation while the dentist was still operating. Because of all of these bad past experiences, I've neglected going to a dentist regularly and would only go in an emergenc, which usually meant extraction. I've used the same oral surgeon for the last 15 years, however this time I needed 4 teeth from the front of my mouth extracted. The last time I had one front tooth extracted, I was in pain for 4 days, had bone or tooth chips punshing thru my gums a week later and felt miserable overall for two weeks. Because of this problem last time I decided to look around for a new oral surgeon. I did a search right here on Yelp for oral surgeons and came across Dr. Barry Jason. I read the reviews posted and one of them, Jeff I think, just struck a tone with me that motivated me to call Dr.Jason. I called the office and left a message explaining my situation. Dr.J called me back pretty quickly and scheduled me to come in immediately. Needless to say I was scared and in pain. After some xrays and examination, he gave me the bad news. I needed 8 teeth extracted. Before I go any further I want to comment of the dr and staff. Dr. Jason is kind of laid back and mellow but professional. He makes you feel at ease as does his assistant. He is confidant and reassuring in his manner. The whole staff makes you feel like your family, they genuinely care about you. Dr.Jason explained what needed to be done, approximately how long it would take and assured me it would be painless. Not only was he going to do the extractions, he would then do the molds and replacement teeth. As I have only 8 of my original teeth, I would need upper and lower removable plates made. He did the extractions in two visits, 4 teeth each time. Those two procedures went flawlessly. I was sedated, felt nothing and when I woke up there was hardly any discomfort. I never took any pain medication for either afterwards. I was Not In Any Pain whatsoever afterwards. It was amazing. Eight weeks later I had my new "million dollar smile". It took me a few weeks to get use to them, but now they are great. I eat steaks and smile alot. Everyone who knows me says how great they look. I can not begin to express my gratitude and satisfaction with Dr.Jason and his staff. Everyone in his office made this a great experince for me. If you are like me, afraid to go to the dentist because of pain or embarasment or anixity then give Dr. Jason a call and see what he can do for you. You won't regret it.
