I fell from a horse about 5 years ago on my shoulder and messed it up while rowing on the crew team in high school. I had MRIs done at Yale New Haven Hospital (I'm originally from CT) stating that I had a few things wrong with it (the specifics I'm not entirely sure of). I decided to give this place a chance because they were local and the doctors listed on their website have a lot of experience. First of all, this place has barely any lights inside. It's like walking into a cave! The ladies at the front desk were very polite, however. Then I was taken in to see Dr. Green - easily the most unprofessional doctor I've met in my life. He came into the room without saying a word or introducing himself and shoved his hand in my face looking for a handshake. Then he asked me what was wrong and had me do a series of tests for range of motion and strength. I told him most of them hurt. I gave him the DVD of the MRIs I had and he spent 5 minutes looking at them silently. He said he didn't see anything wrong with my shoulder and asked if I had done physical therapy before, to which I replied yes - and that it had done nothing but make my shoulder hurt more. He told me to go to physical therapy for a month and then come back, wrote something on a piece of paper to give to the girls at the front desk and walked out without saying anything. I decided to go to another doctor for a second opinion. Dr. Green and his practice aren't getting another DIME of my insurance money. Long story short - if you like going to rude doctors who work out of dingy offices, this is the place for you.

They said if I started that day I could save $500. I gave them all the money up front using financing (which they required). There are no doctors on staff. I went for two appointments and now am trying to reach them regarding continuing my treatment and no one calls me back. I even called their "new customer" number to speak to a human being and told this person I was an existing patient and would someone please call me back and I never got a call. I have reported the to the Massachusetts Dept of Consumer Affairs as well as the Massachusetts Attorney Generals office. Waiting on a reply.

His reasoning, contrary to medical studies, the products OWN INSTRUCTIONS for use, a multitude of other providers, and my own personal, anecdotal interactions with the same procedure, was that the clear presurgery drink my mother ingested at 7am posed an imminent risk to the procedure she arrived for at 8:30am. Her surgery had previously been canceled when she tested positive for nicotine; despite not having been made aware that was even a possibility. To tell a patient with a long history of depression and mental illness that they're 'bad', 'this is all on you, not me' and the dismissive, condescension, in combination with the lack of proper or adequate pre-op instruction from 'support' staff is repugnant. She came home and curled up in bed for 7 hours. DO BETTER!
