It appears that the Thermage that Dr. Green's technician performed on me made me look worse - eradicated some fat from my cheeks. Had to be persistent with her front office ppl in order to get them to let me meet with the doctor for a followup, during which Dr. Green would not even pull up the before & after pictures to give the situation a think. Considering she charges more than most NYC docs for Thermage, etc, one would think she'd stand by her/her technician's work. Do NOT recommend this place - they try to up-sell you from the moment you walk in the door, the doctor does not spend more than 5 minutes with you, she does not listen to your skin concerns, and is only concerned with charging you as much as possible. After my first appointment, the doctor recommended Accutane even though my skin does not break out anymore, and my concerns were my acne scarring. They wanted me to come back for Accutane followups that would be $600 per visit on a monthly basis. I ended up doing two eMatrix treatments with her (much more expensive than I've seen elsewhere) and every time she spent less than 5 minutes with me before chatting away with her assistant my entire appointment time. After my laser treatment, when I mentioned to an assistant that I wanted to treat my spider veins, without even letting me talk to the doctor, they tried to get me to do an additional laser treatment on the spot. They moved me to a treatment room and put the release forms in my hands to sign, and were trying to rush me into doing the treatment without having the doctor speak to me. This is so unethical - the doctor did not even look at my face to see if I was a good fit for it. Do not come here. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Green for almost 2 years now, and she is one of the best dermatologist in the city! She has a very nice bedside manner, recommends and offers cosmetic treatments that I need to look my best (without being pushy), and her staff is incredibly friendly. I have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Green as my Dermatologist for over 15 years. She has helped me as a diagnostician and is someone I can talk to when I have medical concerns. She found a specialist when I needed surgery for a melanoma (actually two) and when I had a rash that turned out to be dermatological lupus. Both of these issues have been resolved because of her guidance. She is the one to call if you have medical concerns and need an excellent diagnostician. She is also well known for her skincare and expertise in perking and plumping areas that need it. Fortunately, I haven't needed that yet. I spent about 12k for acne scar treatments, more than 2k a treatment. The result was very very slight, maybe brightened up the complexion a bit but the acne scars still look very bumpy, still real and visible. For every treatment I received, I had hoped "oh maybe this one will finally show the result..." but nope! Nothing really improved. What I am most upset about is the doctor's terrible bedside manner and lack of any care for me. During every treatment, she completely ignored my existence and started chatting and complaining about the building management company (?) or some irrelevant topics with her assistant,,, almost always seems to be complaining about someone with her assistant, AS THOUGH I WAS NOT THERE in the room with them. I felt cringey and extremely uncomfortable...during the treatment she never once asked how I felt about the progress, what she could do better to achieve the desired result etc. She just goes on with her assistant about irrelevant chatting while I drop more than 2k for a few minutes of a treatment. It also led me to question about the very uncertain and random duration of treatments. I am spending 2k for three minutes on one day, but five minutes on other for the same price? She never used a timer when a minute of treatment is costing me so much money. While most of her assistants seemed very nice enough, one assistant joked in front of me about patients, who come in for hair growth treatments etc. That was beyond horrible to hear. They should never joke about the treatments any patients are getting or the condition they are suffering. The staff and the doctor constantly made me feel very uncomfortable, selling me pricy products without sharing the price tags or sharing the breakdown on the receipt(they only share the total), which I bought without any questions, until I realized how much each thing costed. read more

Dr. Green was not warm at all. Her assistant was so kind, but Dr. Green was not comforting at all. I have some dark spots that I developed due to 6 sessions of resurfacing laser treatments, I told her that I followed all the recommendation given by the lady who did my laser. I wear sunscreen and a hat. I told her that I went to get this treatment because I wanted to shrink my pores and that I wanted flawless skin, she looked at me like oh well, that's what you get. I just remember feeling awkward. At the end they told me to buy two anti-aging serum ? why ? I had explained to her that I was mainly concerned about my dark spots. To make a long story short, I paid $700 for this visit to speak to a rude and greedy doctor. I will never step foot in that office. Surprised by some of the negative reviews here. I have seen Dr. Green dozens of times and have found her and some of her staff (especially Dita) to be great. Super friendly and attentive. In fact, I did have an issue with one receptionist (now gone) and I reached out to the doctor about my concern and she contacted me personally to apologize and address my concerns. I never felt pressured into unnecessary treatments (in fact she's told me I don't need x when I brought it up). And the results have been good. Dr Green charges a $300 initial consultation even if you get a procedure that day. I was not made aware of this fee before my appointment nor does it state this on her website. I went there to get a medium depth peel to treat some uneven skin tone from sun damage. I have had peels before with good results. Our "consultation" was spent discussing previous treatments and then overselling her services. She kept pushing a treatment plan including lasers although I said my skin didn't respond well in the past. She put the chemical on for about a minute and then took it off although my skin didn't frost. The nurse directed me to the desk with $1100 worth of Dr Green's products. The treatment plan she suggested was alternating light peels with laser therapy every 2 weeks totaling over 2000/month. I saw absolutely ZERO results from the peel because my skin never peeled. Complete waste of my time and $800. Dr green is all about the money and I would not recommend her services. read more

I went to Dr. Green for PRP treatments to stimulate hair growth. On a personal level, I saw serious results after just 2 months (and I still had a third treatment on the books, to help it along even more); the photos showed how much thicker my hair had gotten in addition to dormant follicles regenerating again. I visited Dr. Green's practice to treat my skin from previous sun damage. This was done when I was in New York for a few weeks, since more options are available there, while back here, there are not many dermatologists nearby, so it was good to fit this in when I was in the area. My experience with Dr. Green was a good one, I found her professional and very helpful. While I already had some ideas in what I wanted for reversing some of these effects - since I have probably spent more than my share of time in the sun over the years, Dr. Green recommended Thermage and Fraxel treatment for my sun damaged skin. She explained everything thoroughly to me and I didn't feel pressured into having any additional work done, plus I didn't have any downtime and was feeling fine later that day. I really don't get it. I had an excellent experience here. 3 removals total, plus biopsies and a $200 bill from the lab as expected. One of the removals was from my face and at no time did I experience ANY scarring. But best of all no "creative" billing experiences here, like I have had at many urgent cares and less reputable physicians. On a personal note- I rather enjoyed her direct, dry sense of humor. I would not recommend Dr. Green for anyone experiencing acne. As a teenager, age 15, I was put on the antibiotic Keflex and was on it for 4+ years. There was neither a discussion about its effect on my health nor was there any oversight about its prescription continually. This destroyed my gut by the time i was 20, and it has taken many years, doctors, and integrative medicine to help the issues that were caused by this. She may be an expert in cosmetic procedures and skin cancer, but my god I would never wish it upon anyone to see her concerning acne. read more

I completely agree with the negative reviews about Dr. Michele Green. After every service, I felt myself wondering what I actually paid for and if I actually got what I paid for? During my first treatment she said I needed 3 treatments to achieve the results I wanted, by my second visit she forgot what she said and kept adding more to what I needed to achieve the same results I was initially told I would get. She talks to her staff while performing treatments and totally makes it a joke - horrible bed side manner. I actually questioned if she injected what she said the second time. She also treats money as if it's nothing by up selling you every time to 4x what you agreed to for the same results. I searched long and hard for the best doctors, and I don't know how she has some of the great reviews she has. Maybe she used to be good. It has been hard to find the right dermatologist. Since my last one retired I have been looking for the right one to address my skin conditions. Others suggested "quick fixes" that were too good to be true, as I have had this issue for several years and have been looking for a treatment that works long term, but was aware it can require several treatments. For example, I have tried microdermabrasion prior with limited success. Earlier this year I found Dr. Green and have been seeing her now for close to six months. She recommended a series of five lasers over the course of the last six months and with each successive treatment my scars have gradually diminished with only some light redness and swelling which took about a couple of days to recover from. Overall, I have been extremely happy with the results of the treatments and would recommend Dr. Green and her staff. She listened to all my questions and was very realistic about my situation and gave me a treatment program which was able to give me great results. read more

FINALLY, someone who knows what they are doing! Michele is absolutely amazing as far as derms go, trust me I've seen my fair share. I don't have major problems with my skin, but I definitely have a few breakouts occasionally and for some reason Laser hair removal wasn't really taking. As soon as I walked into Michele's office I thought something was different. It wasn't commercial and modern, it was comfortable and as another reviewer noted, refreshing. Michele really takes the time to figure out what the problem is, she isn't interested in tossing a ton of messy topicals at you and hoping it works. She thought that maybe I had a hormone imbalance and made me get the blood work. Turns out I definitely do. Seeing her convinced me that my current doctors are all quacks and I found another internist who has the same type of approach. Talking to the patient, not spending 10 minutes with you and then going to the next like an assembly line at a factory. One thing I was concerned with when I had my first appointment, was that I knew she had her own line of skin care products. I was worried that she would push me to purchase things I didn't necessarily need. My fear was completely unfounded. When I asked her about a cleanser she said "The one you are using is great and I wouldn't switch". She doesn't push her own line on you unless its something that you actually need. Additionally, her products are reasonably priced, so when you do buy something from her, you are getting a great product at a reasonable price. If it helps at all, even my oh so picky mother (Who likes no doctor I've ever seen) wants to shake Michele's hand. I should have left the moment I walked in. I smiled at the receptionist and said hi. She didn't return my smile, barely responded to my greeting and turned away from me so I had to wait for a minute for her to her turn back to me so that I could check in for my appointment. The office wasn't busy. I was the only client in the waiting room and the phones weren't ringing. There were about 5 women at the reception desk, just chatting with each other. I finally got to tell her who I was and was given forms to fill out. After I filled out the forms, I returned to the counter to give them my forms. All the girls noticed me walking up to them, but they continued talking to each other and just watched me, no one moved forward to help me. So I said, could someone take these forms for me? And eventually one of the girls did, but it wasn't they realized that they were there to work and help the customer type of energy. It was weird and not friendly. After waiting about 30 minutes for my appointment, I was finally shown into a room. The assistant was nice and chatty. She mentioned to me that she was surprised at how old I was because I looked much younger like in my 20s (I'm 45) and that all the girls behind the reception desk were also talking about how surprised they were about my age and other stuff. I found it strange that the girls who had no interest in helping me had so much to say about me. The doctor came in in a rush. I had read reviews on yelp about her and had some expectations. I kept hearing really good things about her - good derm, nice, chatty, warm, helpful. She wasn't. She looked at my skin and in less than 5 minutes she recommended for me two products from her line and gave me some brochures and wrote down prices and number of treatments for them. She didn't explain what they were or what other options I had. She did tell me that if her products didn't work for me that nothing else would help me. She wasn't being mean, I think she thought she was being honest and helpful. She didn't spend much time with me and her explanations were brief and perfunctory considering her $300 consultation fee. Also when we were talking I kept feeling like she was faking interest in my concerns. I've edited this review because I wrote earlier that I thought the reason why everyone (except the assistant) was acting so weird with me was I thought I was being discriminated against because I am Asian. I thought about it and I realized that I actually don't know why they were acting that way and it isn't fair of me to accuse them without knowing for sure. Dr. Green is really good. I spent a lot of money at previous dermatologists on various lasers that were supposed to help with wrinkles and sunspots, but barely made a difference (if at all). So I didn't have high hopes when I went to Dr. Green and she suggested a different laser I hadn't yet tried yet for dark spots. BUT, this thing worked like MAGIC. Like an eraser. She's also really nice, gentle, doesn't keep you waiting, etc. ALSO had a previous dermatologist tell me I wasn't a candidate for undereye fillers but Dr. Green disagreed. I am super delighted I went in three months ago for my first cool sculpting procedure on my fatty tummy. I've been unhappy with the stubborn fat that no matter what I do never goes away . The doctor is very chatty and makes you feel comfortable. However, she disses other doctors while chatting with you. I had fractional laser on my face in September. I was told it would take a few days for the peeling to be completed. Well, it was 2 weeks, not a few days. I now see no change and when I had initially asked if I would need more than one treatment with this laser, I was told they couldn't tell me until they saw how I responded to the first treatment. Well, I now know that no one gets just one treatment. When I came back for the follow-up, Dr. Greene looked at my face and said "I'm very happy." Well, glad she is! But I see no change at all. Then they wanted to set me up with more appointments for additional treatments, which I'm sure they knew I would need for any change to truly occur, when they first recommended this laser. At $1500 a pop, I decided not to continue. If they had been honest in the first place this would have been fine. But they weren't. read more

She not only told me that there was nothing that could be done to help me but then convinced me to buy some overpriced cream her office was selling at the time that could help. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Green recently. She is so kind and her staff made me feel so comfortable before my fraxel laser treatment. It was not painful at all and she takes steps before to numb your face which was not uncomfortable in any way. I was nervous but she was so calm that I relaxed once I was in her office. I was so happy with my results that during my follow up I inquired about Juvederm for my lips! I have been thrilled with both the amazing staff and warm and professional attitude and knowledge by Dr. Green.
