Very disappointed with my recent experience at the Richardson Jeep service department. My Jeep is only two months old, and after the steering wheel controls stopped working, I brought it in for repairs. They repaired the steering wheel and replaced a tire that had a screw in it. However, after picking up my vehicle, I immediately noticed a rattling noise that was not there before, especially when turning left on smooth roads. When I called to ask if another technician could inspect the issue, the experience quickly turned negative. At first, the dealership staff and GM Danny Easton had been helpful and told me to reach out if I had concerns. But during my follow-up call, I was told "Jeeps rattle," that they were "done" with me, and that the dealership would no longer service my vehicle. read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with my recent vehicle purchase experience. From start to finish, the process was misleading, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. At the beginning of this transaction, I clearly advised that I only had $1,000 available for a down payment. I was then told that I would need $4,000 down and a co-signer in order to move forward. This requirement was significantly different from what I initially communicated I could afford, yet I felt pressured to meet those terms in order to secure the vehicle. I purchased this vehicle over the phone without seeing it in person, relying entirely on the representations made by your staff. I specifically requested that the vehicle be washed and fully detailed prior to pickup. However, when I arrived, it was immediately clear that the vehicle had not been properly detailed. There was a strong smoker's odor inside the car, which was never disclosed to me during the sales process. This was particularly concerning given that I purchased the vehicle sight unseen in good faith. Additionally, I later discovered that the passenger-side rear tire had been plugged in the sidewall. A sidewall plug is not considered a proper or safe long-term repair, and this was never disclosed to me before or during the purchase. This raises serious safety concerns and further reflects a lack of transparency. When I brought the detailing issue to Juan's attention, I was told the car would only be detailed once I brought in the remaining balance of my down payment. This was despite our prior agreement that the remaining half would be paid by the end of the month when I received my tax refund. I was out of the county at the time and had communicated that clearly. On the 23rd, I was contacted for payment earlier than agreed and was told to "borrow from friends or family," which I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. After I made the payment, I was then required to resubmit my electric bill because it showed past due. Once that was resolved, I was informed that I needed to submit a phone bill with my name on it or the loan would be canceled. These additional requirements were not clearly communicated upfront and felt like shifting conditions after the fact And was request almost two weeks after the loan was approved. Throughout the process, Juan repeatedly implied he was doing me a favor because I was in a rental car. Purchasing a vehicle is a business transaction not a favor and I expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. I also inquired about the manufacturer warranty and was informed by Chris, who identified himself as a sales manager, that the warranty only applied to the original owner and would not transfer to a second owner. Based on that representation, I purchased a $4,200 extended warranty. I have since learned information that suggests this may not have been fully accurate. I do not appreciate what feels like misrepresentation in order to secure a sale. Overall, this experience has left me feeling pressured, misled, and taken advantage of. I expect honesty, transparency, and professional conduct especially when making a major financial commitment. read more

The turn signals, horn, washer/wiper, and radio controls stopped working on my Jeep. The dealer replaced the clock spring under an extended warranty, but said I also needed to replace the instrument cluster and steering wheel switches at a cost of over $2,000. Further, the dealer wanted to keep the Jeep for one to two weeks while waiting for the parts. I took it to my usual mechanic, who did a hard system reset for about 10% of that cost. Everything works again, with no additional parts required. read more

We bought our Jeep Wagoneer from this dealership about two years ago. The vehicle itself has been excellent -- no complaints there. But the dealership experience has been a disappointment from the start. They made a number of promises during the sales process that simply weren't kept. One of the main reasons we chose to buy here instead of sticking with Sewell Lexus -- where we had consistently outstanding service -- was based on those promises. Unfortunately, this dealership has not lived up to the standard they claimed they were moving toward. They told us they were upgrading their operations to be more like Sewell. If that's happened, it's not noticeable. The level of service, communication, and overall customer experience falls far short of what we were used to at Sewell. They also promised loaner vehicles when service was needed. Every time I've brought in my Wagoneer, they've had no loaners available. Instead, they offer a ride via Uber or Lyft -- which is not a comparable substitute. A loaner vehicle gives you freedom and convenience, not a one-time drop-off. Lastly, they touted complimentary car washes as a perk. In reality, they hand you a coupon to drive somewhere else -- often in the opposite direction of where I live -- for a basic wash. This was not how the benefit was described when we purchased the vehicle. In the end, we were sold on a level of service that never materialized, and now we're stuck with the consequences. This dealership ended up being the textbook example of the stereotypical car salesman -- overpromise, underdeliver, and disappear once the deal is done. It's a frustrating reminder of why so many people don't trust car dealerships in the first place. If you're looking for a place that values integrity and actually follows through, I'd recommend looking elsewhere -- or just going to Sewell. They know how to do it right. read more

Instead of a straightforward sales process, I was met with delay tactics and pressure to use their banks for financing. Two different employees gave me excuses -- saying the advertised price might only apply with their financing, or that it could take 3 weeks for my bank to send a check -- rather than simply helping me purchase the vehicle. At no point did anyone just say, "Yes, come on in." This is not how a dealership that values customers should operate. Took my car in to get a splash shield under my car mid December. I was told the part wasn't available but it was ordered so I had to wait for the part to come and pay for the part prior too. Perfectly fine. I was then told by someone named cezar that they would contact me when the part arrived. A month and some change later, I called them and asked about the part. I was told the part came in 2 days after I initially came in and paid for the part. He said they tried to contact me but something happened...i went to the location and got my money back. They were never going to contact me after spending 460 dollars. I've also had an oil change from them that had oil leaking from under my car. Ordered and received then replaced in less than an hour. $300.+ for a small light bulb but my local mechanic said they could not do it and dealership would need to. I immediately approved the oil change and throttle body cleaning -- both directly related to the issue -- but my car sat there untouched for the next three days. These are routine services that take maybe 1-2 hours max. It wasn't until I called them on Monday afternoon that they suddenly "got started" and magically had it done in under an hour. So what was my car doing for 5 DAYS? Sitting in the back like it didn't matter. No updates. No urgency. No respect for my time. And on top of that? They tried to charge me the full $200 diagnostic fee, even though they told me it would be waived if I approved service -- which I absolutely did. This place plays games, overcharges, and doesn't give a damn unless you chase them down. Avoid this clown show. There are way better shops out there that treat you like a customer, not an inconvenience. read more

To top it off the week they had the car they ran the toll tag up $38 evidently out running around burning my wife's gas and toll tag account. Then there was an issue with the car running rough. They said they'd found no problem with it. So I took it to a dealership here in Grapevine Texas. They put in on diagnostics and found a misfire and determined it needed a camshaft a $6000 fix. Don't even think of using this dealerships service department!!! I went there knowing what I needed replaced on my 2020 RAM 1500. I just wanted to see if my extended warranty would cover it, and they said "ok, let us check it" and took my truck back into the service department. It took them 2.5 hours to tell me that the parts not covered. So I said, ok, I'll just replace it myself, to which I was then advised that I had to pay them $230.25 to get my truck back!!!! I NEVER WOULD HAVE ASKED THEM TO CHECK IF THE PART WAS COVERED HAD THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD MAKE ME PAY TO CHECK THE WARRANTY! I'm kind of late on review of this establishment and I don't know why I didn't write a review about this establishment as my experience here was extremely bad, especially the finance person. I bought my Dodge vehicle here in 2016 and I've paid 3/4 of it with cash, so I only financed a little bit, so maybe, that was the problem with the finance person(an Army veteran)where he couldn't tack on extra expense at the back end like they always do to people who finance their vehicles. I'm still thinking about this finance person(an Army vet)after 7 years, so he made a quite impression on me not in a good way at all. I remember he was very condescending to begin with(I'm a female Marine veteran of Japanese ethnicity)and it didn't sit right with him either, bc I caught him giving me a VERY dirty look and he would only speak with my husband when in fact I was the one who was going to pay for the vehicle, so he should had been speaking to me, but he didn't. Maybe, he hates ethnic women serving the US military as he doesn't respect us or we're not good enough and on top of that, he wasn't able to rip me off on back door finance, bc i wasn't financing much! We've come a long way, buddy! LOL, So for that reason, I decided never to come back to this dealership if I'd have to deal with this jerk. I don't want to be treated badly, especially, I'm spending my hard earned $$. He wasn't the only jerk either, bc I felt the rest of the sales staff were also. We bought the club plus plan that we were told covers any paintless dents. 1 month later, my husband gets a a small paintless dent in the car and calls the number on the brochure they give us and they give us the run around for weeks now they're saying we need to pay $300. Principal work needed was an oil change and the rear tailgate would not auto-shut. Never received an update call over the three days so I called three times myself, each time being told it was with a technician. Finally realized they were lying to me and I went and picked up the car on Thursday afternoon. The invoice says "not enough time to address the concern". My Jeep was having issues, so I took it in to get serviced. After explaining to the rep exactly what was going on they took the Jeep in. Couple days later they called me saying that for all the repairs it was X amount. I paid the X amount of money for the service, picked it up a few days later and all the original problems were still there... Seems like they just wanted some commission off a college student and did not pay attention to anything I said about the original issues. Asked what I could do now they said you can bring it in again for another inspection which will cost you not including the cost for material and repairs. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO RICHARDSON CJDR!!!! They can not fix anything from a simple window water leak to a major powertrain issue. If you don't want to lose time, money, patience, nerves and your car's value, STAY AWAY from this "service." I've brought my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland there 11 times in less than 3 years. They wasted all my warranty time with their cheap service and a lot of excuses. From their service advisor to the general manager, they all pretended like they have been doing everything they can, but the result is always against the customer. Now my regular warranty is over, my powertrain warranty is close to its end, and I am still trying to have my car fixed for the same oil leak problem that I've had since September 2020. It is not just their terrible technical service but also their unfulfilled promises. I paid for a special part, and they installed a lower-quality model. Although they accepted their mistake and promised to replace it with the correct part that I paid for, they never did and never repaid my money. They tell you that they have free loaners available when your car is being serviced, but they make you go to a car rental place and rent a car using your own credit card. They paid for my rental but once they somehow didn't and it took me months to get that money back. The thing that makes me angriest is that their technicians took my car, not once but multiple times, to pick up their lunch from fast food drive throughs. One technician took my car and drove miles away to a bank, left my car unattended and running, and went into the bank for approximately 10 minutes. I am not surprised to hear that a lady's car was stolen while it was serviced at RICH. All the things I've mentioned are from my personal experience with this terrible car service. I had my car serviced at RICH since I purchased it and as of now it only has 20.000 miles. My car is now at another authorized dealer/service, and I am fighting for my rights to have my car serviced without paying for the damage that wasn't fixed by RICH, despite numerous visits. I hope this will help others, and they won't go through similar problems like the ones I have been dealing with for years. Absolutely horrible experience! Do not trust any offers you get in an email (or in person) from the general manager, Danny. While trying to buy a Certified Pre Owned Jeep, I was told through an email while negotiating directly with the general manager that I could have a two-year warranty extension on a 2024 high mileage (35k) vehicle and the deal also included a 84/100,000 mile powertrain warranty as part of the pre-owned package. After driving across multiple cities to purchase the vehicle, I was presented with our agreed upon price as well as over another $5,000 in warranty add ons. They would not honor the two-year full coverage warranty and insisted I buy the mechanical protection (MPP) to make the deal profitable.This happened even when I had the warranty clearly agreed upon in the emailed price. The general manager said he could no longer honor the two year warranty since he would not make any money on the sale and thanked me for coming. This was going to be my third Jeep purchase and the first at Richardson Chrysler Jeep, and ended up being the worst purchasing experience I have ever had with any dealership! FALSE ADVERTISING? PRICE GOUGING? UNETHICAL AND POTENTIALLY FRAUDULENT BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS? Just when I thought the world was finally breaking free of the stereotypically sleezy deceptive sales tactics in the auto industry, here comes Richardson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to prove me wrong and give car salesmen a bad name all over again! I'm currently in the middle of purchasing a new truck from them online and am hoping I just got some bad information from a new inexperienced salesman and that this matter gets resolved quickly. However, that is NOT the way it's looking! First, I was shopping online and chose to order a truck they very clearly advertised for $73,260 and agreed to sell to me for $78,379.80 after tax, title, and license. They subsequently ran my credit (I received two notifications/verifications from Experian that they did), and they sent me follow up documents with copies of the agreement and further requests to upload my drivers license, copy of my insurance, and then prompted me to schedule pickup of my new truck, all of which I did. However, when I received no further communication, I called and was eventually told, after we had already entered into our agreement for their advertised price, that there was a $30,000 "market adjustment" on the truck and that it would actually be over $100,000! I was told none of their contracts with me were valid and that this was all explained in the "fine print" (which I actually read beforehand and it was NOT). I was also told it didn't matter since they didn't do a "hard inquiry" on my credit history (all false). I subsequently asked for the sales manager to call me, but I never received any messages from him or her. I later asked for the name and contact information for the General Manager of the overall dealership and this request was totally ignored. I am hoping this is all a big mistake and they choose to honor our written sales agreement, but it is unfortunately looking like there is a Culture of Corruption at Richardson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. Worst customer service and policies! I called to have my truck serviced and explained that this is the 4th time I have to leave the vehicle to check this engine light. They said we need 5 days, I asked for loaners ( a car I can use in the meantime) they said no, I ask if they cover the rental since is under warranty, they said no. No information from him, picked up vehicle, Jeep Wave called for reimbursement information, asked about recall...yes your vehicle IS INCLUDED. Another visit next week?
