Salesman named Lloyd refused to sell to me at the discounted price listed online because I would not finance. Also insulted me with a trade-in offer of $1000 on my 2008 Dodge Dakota quad cab with only 54,000 miles on it. I've purchased over 20 cars in my lifetime and I was just kinda shocked at this dealership. They also force you to buy dealer ads which include a "ceramic" coating that is guaranteed to last 1 year at a cost of $899. It's a spray-on that is more of a wax job. read more

The only reason this review isn't getting one star is because both the sales people that called me were actually very responsive and easy to deal with. However, when I'm ready to purchase and you low ball me by 10K on my trade this is a kind of review you get. The sales manager tried to tell me what my truck with the same miles was selling four in the region, yet I had it pulled up in front of me on the computer and this was a lie. This dealership also charges the typical $1500 add-on for crap that no one wants or needs. I was able to get exactly what I asked for my trade, which was 10K more at another dealership with a larger discount on the new truck that I purchased as well and only a $75 document fee and zero add-ons or warranties forced on me. I scheduled an appointment under my father's name since his truck is giving a brake assist service light warning. I was told it would take 3-5 days just to diagnose the service light and they have no loaner vehicles for the next 3 months. My father believes and I agree that he should no longer purchase his fleet vehicles from any of sam pack dealership anymore. If you add in another $500 for my deductible that was the total amount of damage that the general manager Arron said was "normal service damage to a car that comes into our shop". 1 Star for the parts guy, he was cool, another star for the sales kid, he was cool too. Got a 2009 Tahoe, was unable to go in on a Monday to test drive the car or see it or talk about it, so they delivered the car, sounds pretty awesome. Took it to my mechanic to give it a look over, because I noticed a couple things on it. Turn out the rear brakes are almost gone, needs a new motor mount, suspension is on its way out, needs to sway bar end links, they were held together by a bolt and a rod, not the way they are suppose to be held together, radiator hoses are leaking, and the passenger side door lock, doesn't always want to unlock. When I told them everything that was wrong with it, their response was "it passed inspeNeedless to say, I don't think I'll be recommending them to anyone, anytime soon. Talked to the customer relations rep, he explained to me that, on the used side, they basically do the minimum to get the car road ready, which in my case, meant replacing only the front brakes, but not the rear, or the $13 sway bar links, or at least telling me about the motor mount that was bad, because when my mechanic pointed it out to me, it was pretty noticeable it was gone. I've seen more honest and upfront adds on Craigslist, at least they tell you what mess you're about to step into, I just expected more from a named dealer. read more

Took such a long long time at least an hour to get in there, I almost left. I came in pre approved with what I wanted to use but they still did credit checks with other banks hitting my credit score, I felt pressured to go with a bank I didn't want to go with and wasn't told it would be a different bank until the form was sign. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO GET SERVICED. I have a recall on my Chevy Cruze for the PCV. It had the check engine light on. I went to AutoZone and had them hook it to the machine to prove it was the same code for the recall and it was. So on Monday, 9/14/2020 I had my appointment to get my car diagnosed. They gave no paperwork... only had a verbal agreement stating if the PCV was not the cause then I agreed to pay $100. Rosa (lady with car loaners) was very friendly and helpful. I was placed in loaner car until they could tell me what was wrong with my car. I got a call from Ryan Knowles, which is the guy I had set up my appointment with and gave all the proper documentation to. He stated that the PCV was not what is wrong, the hose was broken on top of the car. Then, he turned around and told me it was $539 to fix it. I told him the PCV is the cause and it was covered. I had the documents to prove it. He said that the PCV is also bad and I also need to replace the tensioner as well as new wipers and a fuel injection cleaning. Well, I went up there and showed him the paperwork AGAIN. He said I have it in the system and I will talk to the tech in a bit and I will call you. I told him I was only concerned about getting the PCV done nothing else. I left. I went and ran a few errands. I got a call maybe 10 minutes later. Ryan (not a tech) told me because there had been previous work done to the car they couldn't do anything to it for the special policy. I had told him, what " Special Policy??" I then told Ryan "Sounds like you are just trying to get money out of me". Ryan wanted me to come up there Saturday, so he could show me what was wrong. MIND YOU HE'S NOT A TECH! I said ok. I talked to my father who is ASE Certified, been a mechanic for 40+ years and he said he has never heard such bull. I called Ryan, and told him to get my car put back together and I'd be there in 10 minutes. He said give me about 30 minutes because it's double parked. I got there in about 10 minutes and it was sitting outside. I went in and told Ryan I don't care about looking at the car or anything I just want my car. He kept trying to tell me it was this hose on top of my car that was broken and that was the cause of the car issues..... FALSE. My father has fixed these issues on Chevy Cruzes already. I got to the point to get the tech out so my father can tell him what he's to be looking for. Tech seem to not know what he was to be looking for on this PCV, he knew his parts but not about this recall. They said that the hose was broken already, when it wasn't when I took the car in. I got in my car and left. I was driving down Beltline to head home and I hear this thing dragging on my car. I pull over and I had a bunch of lights come on, on the dash. I then started my car again, which it started overheating immediately. I look under the hood and I notice there is a string thing wrapped around my motor mount. Then I continue to look further down by the belt where the tensioner is located and my belt had shredded. They removed all these parts on my car and got in a hurry to put it back together that they didn't placed the belt on fully, which caused it to shred. I had to spend $90 to have my car towed to my apartment because of their carelessness. I should have read all the reviews and took it to another dealership that won't try to hussle you. Just some tips that I would suggest to everyone before getting service done to your car... Take pictures/ videos of your vehicle. DO NOT DO VERBAL AGREEMENTS, make sure everything is documented. Make sure you do research on these dealerships/auto shops before you have any work done. read more

Don't bring your car here for repairs. I originally went on Memorial Day because engine light was on. They say they ran a diagnostic and there was a GM update and took care of it. I leave but the light is still on. I come back later in the week then tell me what the actual problem is and that they would have to order the part and call me in two days. Time comes no call, I reach out to them the next day to be told that it's going to come in next week. The next week comes...no call. I kept calling them and getting no answer for service dept. The one time I actually make it through the person hangs up on me! I called for two months and left voicemails for them but nothing. I had my car out of commission for two months waiting on these fools. Ended up taking it to another place to pay for another diagnostic and repairs. I went in looking for a Tahoe fully loaded. The salesman showed me one but not loaded. Told him my payment and that i got employee pricing. He came back with a higher payment and i said no. Then we looked at a Traverse LTZ. It was fully loaded but he didn't know what most of the features were or how to use them. But i bought it anyway. Then the loan manager comes out with a payment of 811more than a 100 over what i wanted to pay. He told me i could send the loan company a 1000 dollars to pay my payment down to around 700. So i took the deal. But when i called the loan company to pay it down they said i had to pay equal to 4 months payments. That would lower my payment to only 730. So now I'm stuck with a 811 car payment. read more

My car started having issues and the check engine light came on so I took it to autozone for a readout before having it towed to a garage for repairs. Came back with a handful of codes transmission related and a code for my wheel tire sensor (already knew it was an issue but not a major concern). Called GM warranty because my car had less than 73k miles. Was told it was covered under a special warranty so I dropped it off, 2 weeks later because that was the soonest they could look at it. Next day they called and said it would need a whole new transmission, covered, as well as a brake cable. I am by no means a mechanic but I grew up with them and have worked on my own cars so I know enough, more than most women. They wanted almost $500 to replace the brake cable so I asked if they could discount the labor since it would overlap with the transmission replacement and they were willing to charge me just for the part, $38. I though things were great except I never got an estimate when it would be fixed. Called them a few days later asking for a time frame and they then informed me the transmission control module wouldn't sync with the new transmission and would ALSO need to be replaced. Called GM warranty and after a LOT of back and forth they weren't going to cover it under warranty so I took out a loan to cover the cost of the repair. $1200. To go from $38 to a $1200 repair without anyone even bothering to call me left me irritated in the first place. I asked while they were repairing the TCM, transmission, and brake cable to let me know if there were any other issues besides the wheel sensor. I was assured multiple times no. I picked up my car and the check engine light was still on and it wasn't idling right so I stopped at the service desk and was told they forgot to clear the code and the tech cleared it. Drove it home, while arranging with my own mechanic to look at it because it still wasn't shifting gears and accelerating correctly but the engine light stayed off, I only lived about 10 miles away. Received a call from GM warranty, who were fabulous through this whole ordeal, the next morning and i let them know of my concerns and the fact that it had the engine light on and wasnt driving right when i left the dealership but i was going to have my mechanic look at it. Drove it to an appointment the next morning and the light popped back on and she went into safety mode. Called and had them come pick it up to be looked at AGAIN, less than 24 hours had passed. They tried to tell me that the wheel sensor was what was making the light come on. WRONG, that causes the ABS and trac control light and they continued to argue with me like i didnt know the difference. I was then texted a picture of a roughly 2" tear in my air intake hose and they wanted another $350 to replace it and said it was normal wear and tear. I just had my hoses checked in January and I KNEW that was not an issue when I dropped it off because I had a printout of all the codes that were being thrown. They argued with me and said it came in with the issue. One, I had the code readout proof that wasn't true. Two, they gave me back the car with the issue and tried to pass it off as the tech forgetting to clear the code. Three, they assured me the only issue left was the sensor. I told them they could speak with my mechanic going forward and hung up on them. Within 5 minutes they called me back and said they would be fixing it at no cost. 10:1 they tore it while fixing one of the other issues, it's a tiny ass engine compartment because I have a spark. My mechanic will be looking at it to check and see if they fucked anything else up and GM is following up with me to see what she says and let me know that there were other service complaints at this location too. If it hadn't been the transmission I would NEVER have taken my car in to them and will not be buying a chevy in the future. It also didn't help that the employees acted like I didn't know shit about cars because I'm a woman. read more

My husband and I bought a used, with 181 miles so really new, Ford Mustang Mach E. We were charged $10k over sticker but were told by the staff at 5 Star all electric cars were so hard to come by, that was the rule of thumb. We loved the car initially, but soon realized it had major issues, the phone will not stay connected and the screen which operates the entire vehicle blacks out intermittently. We took the car in, had a ticket open for 6 weeks, and they replaced the APIM, or brains of the car. It is now worse than ever. We took it back again, they said nothing was wrong. We appealed to 5 Stary Chevy to make good on the LEMON, they said they would do what they could to help us out, the result of which was 2 options, trade it for the exact same car but 1 year older and with 16K more miles; or take a $15,500.00 loss on a car for a trade-in. They on top of that, are selling the afore mentioned older model of our car on their lot for $61k, $2k more than they offered on our car. This is a rip-off, they knew the car had issues but told us when they sold it to us that it was just an over the air software update and there were no significant issues. read more

We waited all day for them and they don't even have the decency to let us know that no one will be coming. My boyfriend calls week after week and they keep saying they'll give us a call back but they never do!! This dealership is horrible ! ! ! I have been a Customer there for many years and have bought numerous vehicles from them and honestly at the end of the day they are only interested in the sale. I bought a 2018 Camaro ZL-1 there last year and the tire protection package for an additional $400 so today I went there as I had a nail in one of my rear tires and also to order a new set of tires. I was treated VERY RUDLY by Amanda, the service attendant then told to leave by Joe Marchbanks, the Service Department Manager, I went home and called the dealership asking to speak to Steven Fry, the General Manager, but was pushed off on Michael Leatherwood, the Customer Experience Manager, after explaining the incident he said that he would look into it and call be back after lunch but since it's now 7pm guess that's not gonna happen or it's a REALLY long lunch ! ! !
