I had a great experience at my first appt. I missed my follow up appointment due to my dog passing. I called to reschedule the appt and spoke to "Kim". She was extremely rude an unprofessional. I had a nice visit with this office about 6 months ago. The staff are polite, the doctor who saw me was knowledgeable and attentive, and the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was great. The staff at Richardson Dentistry are super friendly. Dr. James G. is an awesome dentist. He's very straightforward but does not make you feel horrible/guilty when you walk out. His knowledge and passion for dentistry really shows though his work. Hygienist - Marney has been the best I've ever encountered. She gives great tips on how to keep your teeth looking beautiful and healthy. She is very detailed. She tells me where I'm lacking care and how to improve it. It has helped me alot. Coming back with less issues is always a plus. I use to dread going to the dentist but these two make the trip enjoyable. I never leave without a smile. I was worried about having my 6 month cleaning at the dentist considering the pandemic we now face, but everything at Richardson Dentistry allieviated my fears. I have been a patient here for many years, they have always been my trusted dentists (and hygienist)! Presently they have you fill out your forms on line prior to your visit, take temperatures on arrival, have everyone wear masks (and provide masks for anyone who arrives unprepared) and it's easy to socially distance from other patients in the waiting room. The hygenist, as well, takes every precaution to keep herself and you safe. I really appreciate how Richardson Dentistry has still made taking care of their patients a priority. read more

Easily five stars. I've only been here twice and from my experience thus far, this will will be my regular dentistry. It's such a relief to have such friendly staff, especially as a person who is apprehensive about going to the dentist. I've been helped by Susan and Dr. Guirguis who are both superb at treating me and my teeth well. They're also great at the little things - they helped me figure out the best plan in regard to removing my wisdom teeth so that my dental insurance could cover most of it. I received a birthday card from them and they communicate via email on an update, which is a major plus for me. I can confirm appointments online. They also offered me a free samples, aside from the standard toothbrush and floss. They have great hours; they open early at 8am and are open on Saturdays. read more

I can't in good conscience give them 5 stars because they have cancelled my appointment multiple times. The doctor being sick or family emergency is one thing but it was a scheduling issue due to covid 19 which should have been taken in consideration. I can't give them 4 stars because they charged me $15 for PPE due to Covid 19. They are a healthcare facility, that is part of their attire. Target or Lowe's doesn't charge you PPE fees and they added plastic shields to registers and all employees must wear face masks. In my last visit the only extra PPE they wore was a face mask with standard scrubs. So I justify the 3 stars as being professional, great work done on my tooth. read more

My second visit was much more satisfactory. The hygienist Kaylyn is far and away the best and most gentle I have ever been with. Dr Michael handled a complex, under the gum cavity with professionalism and relatively painlessly. I think I finally found a dental office that will not have me running back to Chicago for treatment. Having said that, I can't, in good conscience, give that final star as they really have some issues with support staff that cannot seem to handle record transfers properly. read more

long story short, first of all, messed up my appointment date, tried to turn me away for their own mistake, I was upset, they squeezed me in, they failed to retrieve the Xray record from my previous dentist so they offered a free Xray which later they used it to against me, doctor spent 5 minutes with me and charged me $78 for "oral exam" that I was not aware of at all. Dishonest staff whom lied about how much the surgery would cost, the whole "get you in the loop first, then bill you for thing that you weren't aware of" tactic. Did not provide any paper trails on the fees on the day of service, but billed you to your home later. FAIL. read more

The best dental practice I have been to in the DFW area by far. Susan the dental hygienist was extremely thorough, not only with my cleaning but in explaining the results of my dental exam and the procedures recommended. Dr. Mike Guirguis was extremely professional and personable. He administered the anesthetic like a pro! He even came back to check up on how I was doing during the middle of the cleaning. This practice is extremely fairly priced as well, and they are very transparent with their charges. All these little touches make them heads and shoulders above all other practices in the area. Richardson Dentistry led me to believe that they were In Network for Metlife dental Insurance and that the only item that would not be covered in my initial visit was a radiographic image for $40 (because of waiting period). Instead, just received news that switching over to Richardson Dentistry for initial visit and cleaning cost me out of pocket $254! Needless to say, I will not be returning back to this practice and will not be recommending my family or anyone else use them. read more

Needing an extraction? Dr. Michael G is not your guy, based on my personal experience of course. After breaking my tooth in the process, drilling away the jagged remains and still digging into the base of the remains of my tooth at gum level to hopefully dislodge the root, the effort was halted by my request so that I could get the job done with an oral surgeon. The root was removed under general anesthesia at a facility Dr G. recommended. That went beautifully. The only pain I have now is the damage done to my inner cheek and gums by Dr. G where the digging with a sharp ice pick like tool was used. Would you believe after my visit a request was emailed to me indicating that they would appreciate a 5 star rating?! I see a comment that Dr Guirgius "inspires confidence that he knows what he is doing". Good luck with that! read more

I have never been so humiliated and or disappointed by a service organization. Your office dropped the ball on my June cleaning by rescheduling me an hour later (without my acknowledgement) then delaying that appt. another half hour which I could not make. I was told I would be contacted when someone canceled in an effort to get me in sooner than later. I was contacted only 2 times from the first of June thru late Sept. I called and said if you cannot get me in for a cleaning I need to know. They had something next day at 4:00pm. I did ask the lady on the phone if I could have my teeth cleaned only as I am in a new job and insurance is effective 11-01-2014. She said she would check with Jean and if there were any issues Jean would call me. So upon checking in a lady told me she didn't think I could just have my teeth cleaned that she would have to ask the hygienist to see if she would allow it. She went back and forth with me for 5 or 10 minutes in front of a waiting room full of people announcing I couldn't afford the whole service. I was on time for the appt. but the hygienist was 20 minutes late. As I sat in your waiting room another customer had been sitting there waiting and was told they would be with her shortly that her girl was running late and the customer said I know someone called me to let me know my appointment was running late. After my cleaning (which the girls always do an outstanding job with that) I was told that I was not welcome back to your office unless I committed to have all my work done there. Why is this humiliating? because I have been going to your office for close to 25 years. I could have easily paid for X-rays but why should I if I have insurance effective 6 weeks from now? The dentist that performs my major work, I met her in that office. To top it off I have only had one crown replaced in the last 7 years so there has been NO other work to speak of. Rather than see me until I needed something done then approach me with a choice to have it done at your office you chose to delay my appointment, embarrass me in front of a waiting room full of people and then tell me not to come back. That is a terrible way to treat someone that has been a patient for that amount of years. I will not be back to your office and will gladly go elsewhere in the future. read more
