Due to insurance issues, I decided to face the fire and get it done. I had always imagined there would be incredible pain, both during and for days after. I had no pain during the procedure, and I am serious about this. I had no pain during the shots - they did such a good job of deadening the areas, and it was effective. I had no pain during the extraction and so little discomfort after that it was truly amazing. I only took pain meds for one day after, and only as a precautionary measure. I also thought because of my age, I would be entered into another level of pain and lengthy healing - wrong again. The worst part of it was no coffee or carbonated liquids for a couple of days and being relegated to soft food.
