This place is very fast when charging you for a service no so much when they owe you money because they over charged you and underestimated what the insurance will pay. asking for a refund for teh difference has been 6 weeks and yet the place manger hasn't approved teh refund which obviuosly should have been becuase that means they were overpaid and just simply kept the money. read more

My husband had a very bad experience here last year and will never go back. The Owner knows that they damaged my husbands gums and health by installing a faulty aftermarket product in his mouth while they performed a bridge implant. They refused to compensate him for their big mistake that has left my husbands mouth in severe pain from a broken off screw post that was installed by an assistant that was inexperienced and untrained in this dental Implant procedure. The owner Daftary was the one that admitted that the product that they installed was a faulty aftermarket metal post defect. They kept my husband coming back for over a year to install it, they kept him on his back for over 5 hours trying to get others in dental office to remove the broken off implant post. No one could even remove it, so they decided to just abandon my husband without an apology or any refund /compensation. These people have taken over Dr. Goad dental office on a Sly, no one knows who this new group are. They claim that they have no responsibility in this matter, yet they took over $25,000 to only ruin my husband implant and will not take any responsibility in ruining his health. I have reported them to the BBB, the Dental Board of Texas and etc. So hope no one gets this kind of treatment from a reckless dentist. Do your homework please and know that the good reviews are not for Richardson Dental And Cosmetic that are there now, it was for Dr. Goad from a couple of years ago when he sold to this foreign group that has it now!! EXCELLENT dental experience!! I recently had a filling redone and the process went seamlessly. Everyone was very professional, accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. I have going to the practice for some time and had wonderful experience with Dr. Naz. I was very sad to find out that she left the practice at my last visit. At that time I was seen by Dr. Malhotra. she had a very different view of my dental health and suggested I would need some very expensive treatments. I was really shocked because I am a regular visitor to the dentist, practice good dental hygene and had never been told of this condition before. On the day of my visit, she wanted me to get the first of 4 treatments. I told her that I had only planned on and had time to do a standard cleaning. She refused and told the dental hygienist not to clean my teeth. At that point I left. I found the entire experience unsettling and the dentist aggressive. I have since found a new dentist who did not find any evidence of the dental disease I was supposed to have. The bottom line-seek better care and another dentistry practice. read more

Dr. Goad and his staff are always attentive! I've unfortunately had to have extensive dental work done in recent years and have suffered from an extreme fear of dentists! Dr. Goad is patient and makes sure that all of his patients are as comfortable as they can be, and my fear of dentists are now non-existent thanks to him and his amazing team! (I even had an extraction without requiring to be knocked out or gassed!) After root canals or any drilling for that matter, Dr. Goad will personally call me that evening or the next day to check in with me and how I am feeling, not his staff or calling service, but him personally! That goes a LONG way with me! I wish I could remember everyone's name to give them kudos here, but in short- everyone is great! Now my adult children and husband use Richardson Cosmetic Dentistry, and they are very helpful in finding appointment times for emergency cases so you don't have to suffer with any pain! I love this office. My husband and I started going there almost 2 years ago. It had been a WHILE since we'd had regular dental visits, and both of us needed intensive cleanings that required 2 visits each. Dr. Goad and Patti (the dental Hygienist) both explained the process and gave concrete goals for how to get our teeth in better health over the next year. I had a traumatic dental experience back in college, and I was impressed that the initial patient questionnaire asked specifically about any negative past experiences. Dr. Goad and Patti asked follow up questions and were very sensitive about my previous experiences (I actually cried in the office, just describing it... and they were both so sweet and sensitive). I've had 4 crowns and a veneer placed in this office, and every person I've interacted with has been really nice. Saundra, the financial coordinator, always explains the cost of any procedure beforehand and asks if I have questions. I've taken my 3-year-old to Patti for her "happy visit," and she did really well! Patti is patient and gentle and very natural with children. I will take my almost-3-year-old to her later this year and have no doubt he'll do great, too. read more

I had high hopes for this practice and Dr. Goad. I was very disappointed. I was given the run around on many occasions regarding the work that I needed and by run around I mean less than honest answers. I was put through painful procedures that turned out to be unnecessary and left with a misaligned bite. This went on for months and Dr. Goad was recommending more work without even doing x-rays. I sought out 2 other professional opinions and both agreed that there is evidence of not only work I didn't need but a lack of work that I either paid for or that my insurance did. After I finally got up And walked out during the final time I saw Dr. Goad, he sent me a text message and an email stating he was sorry and would suppprt me however he could even in changing to another dentist I could have more faith in. However, when I asked for my out of pocket expenses to be reimbursed as my insurance was tapped due to his charges, he refused. I went elsewhere and paid out of pocket to complete unfinished work. I am always hesitant to leave feedback on services. However, this group of highly intentional and thoughtful people always go above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable. This is the most important to me. They are excellent at reading your smallest body movements and asking "how are you feeling?" They are also great at illustrating the plan they have for you and your dentistry. For that I thank them. Make sure to communicate appointment times with them because if they had one area where they could do some improvement it would be to make sure that the appointment that they give is the actual time you get seen. I waited a good half hour the first time I was seen and had another issue where I arrived early and wasn't seen until ten minutes after my scheduled appointment. read more

I have been to several dentists in the past years and I always get nervous when I have a visit coming up. I've never felt comfortable with any dental offices until now. Dr. Goad and his staff changed all that. I know that Dr.Goad is excellent and will explain everything to you before hand even calls up after to check on you. How many Dr.s do you know that do that? Not very many these days, sadly. All the staff know my name and are very friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of and work with you no matter the situation. I can confidently say Dr.Goad and his staff are the best out there at making your visit as smooth as possible. I have been to Dr. Goad for about 2 years now and will definitely continue. I highly recommend Dr. Goad's practice if you need dental work done. I refer everybody to Dr. Goad when asked. If you like professionalism, sincerity and honesty in your doctors, then Dr. Goad's practice is the right choice! Edit: Its 2018 almost 2019 and I still go here. I was looking for a new dentist closer to work - and because I thought my former dentist was trying to rip me off. My co-worker recommended Dr. Goad, and I quickly made an appointment. I was very impressed with how quickly they checked me in, and the cleaning was super gentle and pleasant. I needed additional work, which was completed on another day, but Dr. Goad and his staff made the entire experience very pleasant. And that says a lot considering I do not like going to the dentist. Only gave 1 star because I was unable to choose zero. There is a reason why its been almost a year since I'm just now posting this. Been with my dentist for over 15 years. Had a tooth emergency the week of Thanksgiving & my dentist was out of town the entire week. Thought I was seeing Dr. goad for a chipped tooth or filling fell out. He told me I needed a root canal & it couldn't wait until my dentist returned. First off, I have 2 dental insurances, my secondary always picks up what's leftover & I'm usually out of pocket $0. The front office staff tried telling me they called my secondary & the carrier didn't find my policy. I confirmed the ID# with the office staff & what they called with. I never got a clear answer on who/what they called. I informed them I have coverage, but they tried telling me that secondaries don't pick up with dental. I explained I have had coverage for 2 carriers for 14 years & I have always had dual coverage not duplicate (which they were referring to) After it was learned I needed a root canal, it was "suddenly" that they had my secondary coverage available & confirmed. I realized at this point, they never called to confirm coverage..they just assumed it wouldn't cover. I proceeded with the root canal & wish I hadn't. Prior to the procedure I discussed crowns & such for after. After the office staff left with coverage on the crown. The nurse said "you can get your crown from your dentist if you want". I had already planned on this. When I was leaving, they tried getting me to set up an appointment to get my crown on. I explained to the office staff I would be going to my dentist for the crown. The staff told me I had to come back as they already sent the claim to the insurance. I asked how that was possible when I JUST got out of the chair and the crown was not in my mouth and it wouldn't be for 4 weeks. They tried telling me this is how they do it. I do medical office billing, and this seemed like fraud to me. They do this to force you to come back. I immediately called my insurance and was told the office was not allowed to bill for the crown until it was "seated" in my mouth...as I suspected. I called the office staff back and they started back tracking & said "oh, yes we won't bill it until you receieve the crown". After the procedure was complete, 2 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail...it included the crown. I called and spoke to the office manager. I was told this bill went out by "mistake". I told her she needed to remove the crown immediately or I would turn them into my carrier as billing fraudulant claims. I never received another bill from this office. The procedure: I have had 4 root canals in my life prior to this one & not one of the four did I experience the pain I did with this one. At the start I felt the drill going through my tooth. When I grimaced, Dr. Goad told me to hold on until he gets through & he'll give me a novocaine shot in my tooth. Really?!? I had to feel every inch of the the drill. After all was done, was at home, novocaine wore off... I had severe throbbing and shooting pain through my tooth/jaw...on Thanksgiving day. I had to deal with this through Monday, I had 2nd part of my root canal on that day & was hopeful the remaing part of the root canal would alleviate my shooting pain. The day after, and for the next 30 days, I again had pain shooting through my tooth & jaw. It took over 30 days for me to chew on that tooth. Of all the root canals, I've been able to chew on the tooth on the same day! This is why I'm now posting this. I started having pain in that tooth again recently. Went to my dentist & found that Dr. Goad did not clean out the entire root. My dentist had to do another root canal & found dead tissue still in the tooth. BTW, had zero pain after & was able to chew on the tooth the same day as the procedure. I liked Dr. Goad at the time of my procedure, just not his staff. I now would NEVER recommend him as a dentist unless you want to pay for 2 root canals in less than a year. Luckily I have 2 insurance carriers & am out if pocket $0. read more

I went to Dr Goad with the intention of getting one thing fixed, i was told that i needed another and was also billed a higher amount than my copay. i contacted the insurance company for some explanation they said that i was supposed to be refunded the additional money that i had overpaid. *keep in mind* what i was asked to pay was a "Copay," I did pay my co-pay but they bundled this other fee in there for something they used and disclosed it as my copay. This is highly unethical and it constitutes as fraud. I contacted the office back and they asked me to do a third appointment to follow up on a cleaning and that they would be maxing out my insurance so i would have to wait another year until i could get back to Mr Goad to fix the original reason i headed to the dentist at the first place. When asking about why i was told what i paid above my co pay the woman i spoke with well we just say that. She assured me she'd refile with the insurance company and get it fixed or refund me. Three weeks go by and the insurance company doesn't accept it and i contact her and she says they accepted it but didn't accept it and she won't refund my money. I have yet to ever see anyone but a dental hygienist and still have yet to have the issue fixed, but if that is how they treat their customer's I would really caution anyone from doing business with such a practice that operates on such an unethical and subversive level. read more

So, over the past 15+ years, I've had a lot of dental work done here - the usual cleanings and x-rays, plus crowns, root canals and some cosmetic dentistry work. I would never go anywhere else. Everyone in that office is professional, personable and pleasant, and Dr. Goad, Patti and Gail are wonderful at putting you at ease while you are being worked on. I have dreaded the dentist since an ice skating accident took out my front tooth. No matter what I always felt self conscious - and I have a horrible LOW pain level. so I dreaded getting it replaced after 25 years. But here I am reviewing the experience less than an hour after the initial work. I came prepared - took a relaxant, no make up (crying) stress ball, footies so I could take my shoes off - anything that I could think of. He was funny but professional as was his nurse - I guess of many years - they talked like yin and yang. The way he gave the shots was (I am telling you seriously) "almost" painless. The rest of the process was about get the work done but my comfort was highly regarded. They gave me a neck and a lumbar cushion which made me feel more secure that I wouldn't have my typical back spasms and the neck roll was comforting. I am stunned beyond belief and couldn't be more thrilled. This guy is a dental guru and patient as all get out! I had only gone to him for teeth cleaning before which was quick and easy but now - NO ONE is touching my mouth and/or teeth "ever" again. Thank you so much Dr. Goad!!!! read more
