I was basically rushed out with an active infection and told to consult an oral surgeon ASAP. I had to ask for an antibiotic for the interim, which he told me "not to take unless I needed it." When I consulted my dentist & the oral surgeon later that day, both said to take the antibiotic immediately, as the numbing may not work during the treatment I needed with an active infection. Dr Doering also refused to prescribe me the treatment for a very common symptom of this antibiotic, which is standard process for the issue I experienced and has never been a problem with other dentists in the past. I was billed over $300 for hardly 5 minutes of Dr Doering's time, yet felt like I was disregarded because I did not end up spending big $$$ with him for treatment. Very happy to take your money, but incredibly reluctant to offer any necessary medication. Do not recommend.

When the environment is well done, and the attention to detail is clear, my fears were gone. I knew that this was a place where people knew what they were doing. The soft music, the headsets that were programmed to my own liking, the smiling and soft spoken knowledgeable staff put me at ease and kept me at ease. I was numbed quite well (I didn't feel a thing) and was treated like first class! The Assistant Jo and Dr. Thomas were amazing and addressed any concerns that I may have quickly and expertly. Again I highly recommend this office for any endodontic needs!

Avoid this clinic - painful, unprofessional, and misleading…read more Dr. Kevin Shugger insisted on retreating my 10+ year-old root canal despite my request for extraction. He charged $1,600 to insurance and took $300 from me, only to reopen and refill the same root, not perform a full retreatment. The pain after numbing was unbearable, and the office lied multiple times about their hours and failed to send a promised antibiotic prescription--putting my health and my patients at risk. Staff were disrespectful and unprofessional. The assistant addressed me in a degrading way and tossed my appointment card. When I finally went to a dental emergency clinic, they extracted the tooth properly for an additional $950. This clinic cares more about billing insurance than patient well-being. Poor care, lies, and dismissiveness made this the worst dental experience of my life. I'm filing formal complaints and urge others to avoid this place.

I don't know where to begin, but know that this review will NEVER begin to cover how I feel about…read morethis office and specifically Dr. Tyler Guinn. I had an amazing initial experience with him to then be treated completely horribly and inhumanely by him in a number of ways. He left teeth 26 and 13 unfinished, causing me agony and suffering, and was completely negligent of my treatment as his patient. I am going to LOSE the teeth he started treating because he left them unfinished and no one would help me since they kept telling me to go back to him and he wouldn't help me even though it was HIS problem to treat. He treated me like I was the lowest human being on earth, and his justification? I was/am extremely depressed. So he gave up on me and treated me like I didn't exist and didn't deserve treatment. Because I was struggling. That was his justification. If you are ever struggling with these feelings, know that he feels you are beneath him. I hope one day he himself or one of his loved ones experiences that because he deserves to feel it first hand. I have been having extreme cold and hot sensitivity with 13 (which I should not be, indicating he likely left nerve tissue still in there or it's reinfected or cracked). I cannot eat and drink without suffering and he should be charged as far as I'm concerned. That is taking away basic human rights to physical nourishment, and he already knew I had an eating disorder, and I think he was intentionally doing that to starve me further and harm me intentionally. And he knew the physical agony I had been having with 26 and he left that unfinished to get re-infected as well. I am going to have to get a biopsy of it and get it extracted, and I very well could have osteomyelitis because of him leaving it open to infection. It was malicious intent. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing, putting me in harms way intentionally. He purposefully didn't finish these teeth so they could get reinfected and cause me harm. He not only didn't care if I had complications, he wanted me to have them. When I called to tell them that I was having problems with the treatment HE did, they told me they wouldn't see me. He never cared that I am suffering and struggling. Someone else tested 13 last week and told me it's still responding to cold and was basically a partially done root canal that is causing problems, and could be cracked at this point. I am taking this to LARA and I have already taken it to the MDA and I want to do more than that. I will take this as far as I can for the suffering he has caused me and the horrific feelings and thoughts running through my mind. He doesn't care about you. He's in this for the money and nothing else. I wish I could make it so he never touched another patient ever again. They ignored me when I called, refusing to call me back, and hanging up on me. One of the most unprofessional offices I have ever encountered and one of the cruelest doctors I have ever seen. Because I was struggling, that's how he chose to treat me. Like I wasn't worthy of care.

When I arrived, the office was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. I was brought back to my room and Mr. Smith came in and introduced himself. He worked quickly while explaining everything he was doing, seeing, and the noises I would hear. At no time did I question or feel uneasy about my procedure. It was a very positive experience, although I hope I don't need to return (root canals are horrible!!).

I called them and made an appointment because i was refered there by my insurance company. I pre…read morearranged a Lyft ride to and from. I spoke clearly and in English to the rep when I made the appointment. She explained to me that that I could get the Exam on the appointment date but the cleaning wold be scheduled later. I ageed and she verified my insurance. Then 2 days before the appointment some one else calls me from there to tell me that my insurance would not cover the Premier dentist. So I was forced to cancel my appointment. I have not been able to get a dental appointment in 3 years in Kalamazoo.
