Booked a 3 day stay at this place and had to wait till 3 to check in we are on hard times and had been in a hot truck all day it's 2:47 and my mom goes in and ask to use the bathroom the blond gorgon at the front desk tells her no. Mind you she was somewhat aware and up until this altercation I had been extremely understanding and polite my mom went off on as to call her a b after telling her that we have been in the truck waiting for an hour for the room to get done. This woman then comes out and tells me that you canceling my reservation and that we have to get off the property then this cabbage patch looking thing comes walking out the door with I don't even know what kind of expression that was on his face saying something like that's when I get out of the truck and I said what's going on and then this other belong I guess you got her whole family up in there and slipped my mom off after being threatening and then I'll refuses to cancel my request and making the Priceline go through the managers which you can never get a hold of to cancel my reservation which I fit $400 on for three nights cuz that's why I was going to take for me to get my check to get us through the next week I do not suggest staying here and to that lady and her family it's all good cuz what goes around comes around and all this for my mother having a disability and having an hour just to use the bathroom waiting on them​ read more

This property isn't a Marriott or Hyatt so be prepared for rowdy customers standing in the parking lot screaming at each other at 2AM in the morning. Under new management they are trying. No evidence of those bed bugs but there are lots of hairs on the sheets which really should not be there if it's really clean. Our companion's room needed the tile floors to be cleaned. And be prepared for the trash truck at 7:30AM. But it gets worse in the lobby! Mold on the biscuits this morning at breakfast. Apparently the the six am guy who sets up doesn't care to check. And they have ten packages of danish which they can't use in time so no wonder there is going to be more mold. Hope we don't find worse before we check out this morning. read more

The only reason this is 1 star is because I couldn't give a NEGATIVE 10 star. We arrived to check in (6pm), paid for the room - rm133 (was charged a $50 deposit fee without asking me), received our key, went to our room AND THE BED WASN'T MADE! The room had not been cleaned. I went to the front desk and told Jimmy (I think that was his name). He started blaming it on his cleaning crew. I told him we were going to eat and would be back. (He was out front talking to a woman and smoking). We arrived back at 7pm (he was still outside talking to a buddy and smoking) and he said that he still couldn't reach his cleaning crew and didn't have a room. (He had checked in 3 couples since we left and returned but he justified it by saying "only one of them was clean". Seriously someone rented a dirty room? I ask him to call his manager Bit he said he was the manager. I told him that he didn't own the hotel and he had to report to someone. He "went to find the cleaning crew and get us a room". He gave us rm 202. When we went to that room, the bed wasn't made up and the tv was on. I ask for my money back. All he could do was blame it on the cleaning crew and say it was t his fault. If you have any choice at all....Please go to a different hotel. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE... let me just say that again. DO NOT STAY HERE.... Sleep in your car, a trash can, a dumpster, or not at all. The bathroom had no less than 3 pubic hairs on any given surface and the bed too. Every "linen" item had a large stain or cigarette burn hole in them. The light switches had finger grime built up and the corners of both bed and bathroom had dirt built up. The toilet still had dried pee from the last visitor. Oh, and the drugs leftover on the counter really added to the the charm. To top it off, it was insanely overpriced. We pulled the sheets back, slept on top, and left everything back in the car then regretted even thinking this was even a remotely good idea. Again, sleep ANYWHERE else besides here. We skipped the breakfast for good measure so cannot comment on it. This place was DISGUSTING, AND I CANNOT BELIEVE SOMEONE CALLS THIS THEIR "business." I read the reviews and took the dates they were written, so to say the least I was very skeptical.So to say the least I was completely dumbfounded when we arrived at how the reviews were completely opposite of what the Richland Inn was : First the people at the front desk they were very nice and considerate, we stood and chatted with her for around 45 minutes while we checked in and she was sweet as could be Second we ended up getting the family suite and it is super mainly I'm used to staying in some shit bag motel due to me traveling for work and having to pay out of my pocket for my living arrangements so I typically try and get the cheapest room I can find and staying in this Inn and room almost makes me feel close to home it was very clean and large enough that me and my toolie aren't falling over each other it just like I have my own personal space Third we are working night shift and the previous place we stayed we got woken up 4 days in a roll at 8-9am when we just went to bed but at the Richland Inn we have slept like babies and it's very quiet there Wrapping up if you do as I did and just solely look at the reviews without actually going yourself and looking you will miss out on some gems I would 110% recommended the Richland Inn 10/10 stars for me read more

Killed 5 roaches, smell of weed was present in the room already and found someone's butt in the corner of the room. Then you smell weed coming from outside, then in through the bathroom vents. I cannot go to the bathroom without a gas mask on. This place is very dirty, has dirty towels, looks like a murder scene in the bathtub. I don't know if it's bleach or paint. Some new guy we never seen before would not change our room when we complained of the new weed smell. I am in an unfortunate situation otherwise I'd have never been in this hotel. To whom this may concern, I am not sure where to start so I am hoping you can help. My family stayed at the Richland Inn Columbia, TN. I have tried reaching out to them several times about our stay there. They are not answering there phone calls. Our stay there was horrible, and we tried getting some kind of a refund. We stayed in two of the rooms and they were so bad we slept in our clothes. We asked for another room. He said they didn't have any. It was late at night and all the motels were booked in the area. There was blood on the lamp shade in our son's room (#211), beer bottles on the floor, In our room (#123) the phone was SO dirty and wore out, the air conditioners buttons were wore and broke, one whole wall outlets didn't work, one wall outlet was burnt and the cover was off of it. The Bathtub and sink top had cigarette burns on them. The hairdryer was very dirty, the tissue cover was rusty, the coat rake was very rusty!! When my travel sight contacted them they said they checked the rooms out that we stayed in and they were fine!! They were NOT FINE!! Our rooms were #123 & #211. I hope someone looks into this place because they are very dirty!! read more

This is my second time staying here, but the last time I stayed here my room didn't have tile floors. The floors are lovely and I was astonished to find the huge walk in shower!!! Amazing. As I write this I am sitting in a comfortable reclining chair. There is no smoking in any of these rooms and no pets allowed so my room smells fresh and clean. Free continental breakfast from 6:00am to 9:00am. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. "Legends" is a killer steak house! This room was only $85 for a king size bed. Richland Inn is both lovely and economical. read more

When we checked in the first room they gave us was dirty like someone just checked out of it dirty towels everywhere the bed was messy no covers on it. Then the second room we got the lights wouldn't even cut on and the door looked like it had been kicked in! We asked for a smoking room but ended up staying in a non smoking room they still charged up for the smoking room! And the 3rd room we was handed didn't even have hot water to shower! looks like nothing but crack heads that stay there. I booked a stay through Expedia, which had pretty good reviews for this motel! I didn't expect a 4 star hotel but I expected it to be decent after reading the reviews and paying $130 for one night. The room wasn't clean. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom and it looked like it had not been swept or mopped. The room smelled VERY strongly of weed smoke, even though I requested a non-smoking room. And once I got used to the marijuana smell, I started smelling cigarette smoke. By morning I was coughing pretty badly from my asthma not being able to handle the smokiness. The towels and sheets seemed to have been freshly laundered but were clearly old, with tears, stains, and cigarette burns. Definitely not worth the money! I would expect to pay $30-$40 for this quality of motel. read more

Recently stayed at the Richland Inn. The size of the shower was the best accommodation! The beds were comfortable, although one had a large area of mold growing on the bed skirt. I read some average reviews on a different site that I usually trust. I opted for the Richland Inn over the new chain hotel in town because it looked like it had a little more to offer for our sleeping arrangements. We were in town for a sports competition and my 18 year old son is a big guy who needed a big bed for a good night's sleep. We chose the King Suite (#219) because it had a king sized bed for my husband and I, and a separate full sized bed for my son. First thing we noticed was that the light switch on entry to the room didn't work. We adjusted and just used the other interior switches in the "kitchenette" area. My son's first comment when he laid down on his bed was "this bed smells weird". He was smelling the stale smoke in our non-smoking room. I'm glad the room was dismally lit actually, because I probably wouldn't have stayed in it has I been able to see that it was not clean. Floors were filthy and left my socks nasty. Grout on bathroom floor was in need of cleaning. The duvet cover was stained. Our room ended up costing me $139 plus high taxes (typical for that area, for a total of $166) for a dirty room. The free breakfast was "watered down everything", according to my husband and son. I don't eat breakfast, though I certainly paid for the *free* breakfast in the cost of the room. Husband and son said the eggs, sausage gravy and coffee were all very watered down and tasteless. We rushed out to Dunkin' Donuts down the road for something else. I truly don't mind paying a fair rate for a clean, comfortable place to sleep, or even a *free* continental breakfast...but this was way overpriced. It should have been less than $100 a night, and that's being generous. To the owners of the Richland, just lower your prices and don't offer the breakfast at all. It really was bad. Supervise your housekeeping staff to make sure they're doing their job. I'm pretty sure they weren't. read more

Fortunately, I did not have the misery of staying at this dank Inn. I booked a room at the Richland Inn through their website in January for a weekend in April. Apparently, the company underwent a management change and in doing so, dramatically raised their already high for the area rates. They did not notify patrons that had already reserved, like me, that the rate we had reserved was no longer valid. They also did not honor the room type that was reserved (we requested a king bed and were told we would be assigned to a queen). When I called to speak with someone about it, I was led on a two day wild goose chase, leaving several messages that no one from management returned. When I finally spoke with the manager, he essentially told me to fuck off, that they had so many people willing to pay the trumped up rates that my dollars didn't matter to him. Sir, I do hope you learn some basic customer service tact. It didn't fly for me and I'm happy that I won't be staying in your hell hole. read more

This has to be one of the worst places to stay ever. I was put in a room (221)and I got unpacked and was ready for bed when I noticed a bed bugs on my pillow. I took the pillow with the bug still on it to the front office and they stuffed it in a trash sack and sent me to the room next to it (219). After inspection I did not find anymore bugs but I slept in fear. No discount or apologies offered. Don't stay here unless you absolutely have to. read more
