With this power, she rewrote the will, disregarding my mother's long-held plans for her family and diverting everything to herself. She allowed her husband to become her Power of Attorney then simultaneously gave his power of attorney his daughter and allowed her to steal and desecrate my mother's wishes. This lawyer's actions were not just unethical but outright predatory, taking advantage of a vulnerable person for personal and/or financial benefit. Her lack of integrity has devastated our family, and I would never recommend them to anyone seeking honest, professional legal guidance.

I talked to several process servers and explained all our struggles and difficulties. I asked each of them how they would handle the situation if our defendant proved impossible to serve after trying. Chris's answer to that question was a confident laugh and, "I will have him served." That's why I went with him, and I am very happy I trusted my gut. Chris was able to take the limited clues and information we provided, track him down, and complete substituted service when personal service was not realistically possible. What impressed us most was not just that Chris got the defendant served, but what happened afterward. Close to the hearing, the defendant filed a Motion to Quash Service and also sent us a separate packet challenging the service that had not even been properly filed with the court. It was stressful and confusing, but Chris immediately stepped in, provided detailed records, explained the applicable small claims service rules, and helped us understand exactly how to respond. Chris was patient, responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. He did not just serve the papers and disappear -- he stood behind his work and helped us deal with the defendant's attempt to challenge service. The judge ultimately denied the defendant's Motion to Quash and found the service to be valid and sufficient. Serving the defendant was the biggest hurdle in our case, and I am so happy Chris helped us get over it. Now that we've won the judgment, Chris is even guiding us on how to claim the service fee, as it's allowed to be recovered by law. We truly appreciate Chris' professionalism, fast response time, attention to detail, and endless patience in explaining the process when we were panicking. If you are dealing with an evasive defendant, a difficult service issue, or someone trying to avoid being served, I highly recommend Chris and SkipNServe.

We've worked with Gayleen and her staff over the last nine years. Each and every year Gayleen manages to help us maximize our deductions. Her attention to detail is uncanny; she looks through each year's paperwork with precision, catching every possible deduction, which has resulted in a hefty tax refund EVERY single year, for nine straight years now!!! Gayleen truly knows her stuff, too, and has taught my husband and me how to properly document and record our deductions to ensure that our returns are accurate. We've never been audited, but truthfully I don't worry about. Gayleen ensures that everything on the return is accurate and properly documented/supported to withstand an audit. I also appreciate that we never feel "rushed" through an appointment. Gayleen answers all of our questions and truly takes her time with us. She's also very accommodating with appointments. The people here are really kind and generous. They're great at what they do and they will do whatever they can to help you out. I'm a college student who's always brought my own school expenses every year for tax filing purposes; however, I discontinued my accounts with Wells Fargo sometime during Fall of '19 and opened up a new bank account with B.O.A. Long story short, I would've had to pay about $1000 in taxes if Gayleen hadn't told me that I can still go to Wells Fargo and request my monthly personal statements in spite of closing my accounts. After coming back to Gayleen's office with my expenses, Gloria, another great CPA, and Gayleen worked their magic and now I have to pay about half of what I was originally supposed to pay. When I say they'll do what they can to help you out, THEY WILL DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO HELP YOU OUT. I contacted 4 different local accounting service businesses and ultimately decided on Hongda & Gil Tax. I made an appointment and drove down at the end of February. Since it was my first time, they did have to get copies of our Drivers' licenses. I came alone, but happened to have a photo of my husband's and emailed it. During the initial set up, I waited in a common break room. They had water, coffee and vending machine if you wanted any snacks. After waiting about 10 minutes, I went in for my actual appointment. Everything was fairly quick, I was asked a few questions, provided advice on things to change on our W4, and told how much I would get back and what I owed. I checked my direct deposit a couple weeks later and saw I had already received by money back from the State! LOL The fee was also reasonable; just a tad higher than what my previous accountant charged, but the processes was really smooth and so fast. Definitely coming here again next year.
