While I was taking regular lessons, I purchased an on-course playing lesson which, at his recommendation, I planned to take as soon as the weather improved in the spring. As soon as spring hit I began trying to schedule my prepaid playing lesson with Alex. However, as soon as I stopped paying for regular lessons, Alex became increasingly hard to reach, responding only occasionally to my frequent attempts to schedule my prepaid lesson. Around mid-summer, he stopped responding completely. Over the past three months I've sent 7 emails and left three voicemails for Alex, left three voicemails for the director of golf lessons at Newcastle Golf, and talked directly to the Newcastle Pro Shop on two occasions and still been unsuccessful in getting Alex or anyone at the facility to respond to my attempts to schedule a lesson. I consider myself to be a pretty reasonable and patient person and made every attempt to give Alex and the facility the benefit of the doubt here, but I'm now out $250 with no options for resolving the issue. If you're looking to invest in your golf game, learn from my mistake and choose from one of the many other PGA professionals in the area with credible reviews from multiple sources to ensure you avoid those with questionable business practices.
