WRITE DOWN YOUR FITTING RESULTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I had a recent driver fitting at the Bellevue location. I was fitted into the TaylorMade Stealth 2 driver, 10.5* dialed up to 11.5*. However, I was pushing it to the right with the Fujikura Ventus shaft. The coach switched it the lighter Aldila Ascent Red shaft and BOOM, dialed in. So we order, I leave, and later I get the confirmation email and ... it's wrong, and states the wrong head (the Stealth 2 HD) and wrong shaft (Fujikura Ventus). I call, the coach says I'm right and it'll be fixed. Two weeks later I receive ... the right driver but with the Fujikura Ventus shaft. I have challenged this twice, and I apparently have recourse. So now I have a great driver I push 20 yards right on every swing, and have to figure that out on my own. My advice ... when the fitting is over, treat the coach like a third grader who needs his homework checked. Sit with him, write down the results, then watch over his shoulder while he orders it. read more

Had never had a club fitting prior to this. Daniel was awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable about what clubs would work well with my swing. Found the clubs that I thought were the best for me. I can't really comment on their services. I can, though, tell you that their systems are all f'd up. Schedule a fitting and get FOUR different quotes?! $270.00, 135.00 on special, another special for 10% off, and the fitter quoting me $300.00! Also, I booked online an appt. for a full bag fitting, and the confirmation was for a 60-90 minute session, when a full bag is a 2-1/2 hr. session. Cancelled and rescheduled, as Daniel told me that he didn'thave time on my original date that I booked. So, I get a confirmation that AGAIN says 60-90 min. session! I emailed Daniel again and canceled yet again, thinking to myself that they were hopelessly f'd up. Guess what. I got a reminder email that my appt., the one I had canceled, was for the next day! I finally texted Daniel to tell him that due to their total confused state that I couldn't possibly have any faith that he'd know what the fuck to do with a fitting and that I'd wave to him as I passed by on my way to spend $4500 at PXG. I am 52 years old and plays golf about once a month. I hope to start playing once a week. I shoot in the 90's. I had a slice problem that is corrected. I have worked with Rance a few times. The slice is resolved. I have been excited with my progress. The only way I will improve is practice what is being preached. If you want to improve your game, I highly suggest seeing Rance a few times and practice his advice. I know what I need to do and what to work on. Very unfriendly staff. Every time I've called them and asked them questions as a beginner, they have been so uninterested in answering my questions as if i'm bothering them. Ideally, you would think they want to grow the game and attract beginners like me who are interested in improving the game and would hire their services, but either they are too busy and not really interested. There are other great instructors / organizations out there and I'd rather work with someone who wants my business. read more

I have been working with the guys here for a few weeks. They are nice and seem to understand teaching (I am a college 'professor'). They encourage you and build you up improving your confidence and giving instructive feedback. Lessons with them are fun and engaging. They usually end too quickly. The cost isn't cheap but the home reinforcement GolfTec provides by giving you your recorded lessons, drills, etc. is very valuable. I am trying to get serious with my game and am confident these guys have the skills and tools to get me to a scratch golfer. They will also be coming out to do playing lessons with me as well. I grew up playing golf and was a weekly or twice-weekly golfer from age 13-17. After high school, I took a long hiatus from the sport until just last spring at the age of 29. After doing what I could to bring my golf game back up on my own, I'd pretty much reached whatever self-improvement I can do without personal video recording equipment, and I still lack consistency. Through advice of a friend, I went in for a preliminary GolfTec assessment at the Bellevue location with Brandon. The session alone was very informative, and I could tell quickly that the lessons would help me with my mechanics and my game as a whole. I left that day having signed up for the "3/10" Lesson plan, which includes 3 months of unlimited access for practice in any of their facilities (which includes your own use of the video equipment and playback), as well as ten 30-min lessons with your instructor. Although at first I thought the price seemed high, when I factored in how much the equivalent cost would have been for a few lessons elsewhere and then cost of the range balls at a typical driving range over the course of 3 months, Golftec actually ends up being a very good deal. That, and you get your swing recordings uploaded along with tips, commentary (audio overlay), and comparisons to pro-swings that you can't get at a driving range on your own. It's too early to tell how much my game will change, but so far the package seems like a great investment, especially if you plan to play in any tournaments and need to make some adjustments. So far my only reason for not having 5-stars is that scheduling can be very tight as the facility is very small, at least in Bellevue. read more

I was planning my big golf trip to Pinehurst and decided to get new irons for my trip. Went to GolfTec in Bellevue and the fitting was fine...I was clear that I needed to be sure to get the clubs before my trip on April 6th and was assured that they would be in no later than April 1st. No one called to tell me they would be delayed and I only learned when I called Golftec several times to confirm on time delivery as they promised. They told me that the delivery was going to be delayed until April 12th and I got a "there's nothing we can do about it" response. Since I'm tall and left handed I could not rent clubs on this trip so was forced to play with my 1980's era clubs on my wish list golf trip. When I got back from my trip and picked up my clubs the salesperson wasn't particularly apologetic and the manager made no effort to reach out and apologize. Given the circumstances and impact on me, I would have expected that at a minimum - and the right thing to do would have been to provide a discount or some free lessons or even a sleeve or two of free golf balls...but nothing. Missed opportunity to turn a disappointed customer into an appreciative customer! I was planning to take some lessons from them but now I don't feel like they really want my business. read more

I took 20 lessons at Golftec, two 10 lesson packages. I wasn't satisfied after my first 10 as I felt I made virtually no progress. I thought that maybe I just didn't mesh with the instructor. Call me a glutton for punishment, but I signed up for another 10 lesson package and chose a different instructor this time. Same results because the instructions are EXACTLY the same. They teach men, women, tall, short,etc all the same. If you are having trouble grasping a concept, they have no answer. I swear, if I could have got a quarter every time they said "swing under the noodle", I could have paid for all the lessons twice over. Go elsewhere for personalized training. read more

After 30 years playing w/ the same clubs, I set a club fitting appointment for new clubs at Golftec's Bellevue location. While it was easy to set the appointment and it was promptly confirmed, my experience working w/ Brett W was disappointing to say the least. Their technology and office are great, and we spent a lot of time going through a few irons (7,5,3) and woods (3 fairway, 3 hybrid) in my bag; but the lack of communication, incorrect reports/info about my new clubs, and the disregard for and lack of flwp/interest in getting the right fit for my swing, was very frustrating. In addition, when my clubs came in, the lie was too upright. Brett's response was to address the ball with my hands more upright. Ultimately, he never checked the lie, it was wrong, he dismissed it as the manufacturer's fault, and I ended up going back so he and David could fix the lie on my irons after the fact. Turns out they were 2 degrees off, which is huge! The adjustment made a huge difference in my ball flight, but Brett dismissed it as the manufacturer's fault when he never checked/confirmed it during my initial fitting and just submitted my order as "standard." Overall, this was just a very frustrating, convoluted, and disappointing experience. I like the clubs themselves, but am still not certain that what I have is based on my swing metrics after logging 2+ hours of time in their swing lab. In addition, I always had to call back to track Brett down for more insight about my fit. He was too busy, disinterested, and always blamed someone else...the manufacturer. I still believe that a custom club fitting is beneficial, but DO NOT RECOMMEND you do it w/ Brett W at Golftech. There are plenty of other options, of which I will be exploring to revisit my fit going forward. read more

Can't say enough goods things about my club fitting experience with Eric. After hitting several club/shaft combinations, he was able to recommend two different setups for me. I ended going with Mizuno MP-15's and couldn't be happier. I've lowered my handicap by 3 strokes and just had my career low round. Thanks Eric! read more
