They do not pay attention to their work. I am out of town and have them on a regular schedule. My watering system was on the blink and my grass died. Could they have contacted me and told me??? 0 stars!!! Worst lawn care crew I've ever had to deal with. I live in a condo with a small yard which I work in all the time because I love gardening. Unfortunately, my condo association uses these idiots who know absolutely nothing about horticulture. A few months back they butchered all of my queen ferns down to the ground amongst other plant. When I noticed the horrific "trim" job, I approach 3 different employees to find out who and why would do such a horrible thing none of them spoke english and were clueless and unhelpful. Finally I found someone who barely could communicate with me and I ask why did your crew mutilate my plants? Dont touch my plants. He pulled out a list and told me that im not on the do not trim list, which apparently half the people living here dont want them touching their plants either because the list was rather long. Anyway, so I told the man that im telling him right now In person to keep his crew and their equipment away from my yard and my plants. He kept repeating that my address is not on the no trim list. Frustrated, I called the office and spoke to the woman who answered the phone about my situation and about how her employees just want to agrue with me instead of filling out the "no trim" list with my name and address. She apologized and said she will make sure its taken care of. Over the last couple of months or so they haven't cut my plants thankfully, however, ive sewn glass seed 3 different times now on both sides of my walk way because it was bare soil which was eroding away with rain. All three times now, as soon as my grass starts getting beautiful and green and lush, after daily watering for a couple to a few weeks, these assholes have come In my yard and sprayed every last bit of it with weed killer. Needless to say, I give up until the HOA does something about their contract. If you are a gardener or or not, dont let these fools in your yard to do anything unless you have weeds in a feild to mow down. Im so disquieted. I took pics this morn for all to see. read more

Roberts Nursery provided the WORST customer service I have ever encountered as a consumer, and left my husband and I extremely frustrated. The company did NOT stand by their word of "providing the finest products and highest quality service possible". We recently spent $1500 on 3 trees for our backyard from Roberts Nursery on 156th and Fort. It took the company 20 days to get out to plant the trees and then (with the appropriate flags marking where we wanted each type of tree to be placed) the crew planted them in the WRONG order. (Additionally, they left our driveway covered in dirt, and crew trash in the backyard). I called right away to let them know it was wrong, the first guy I spoke with was apologetic and assured me that it would be fixed within a few days. 2 days later I received a call from the owner, Robert, telling me that his crew in fact placed the trees correctly, and that we (the customers) were wrong, with no proof whatsoever of the occurrence. He provided no sympathy, and zero apologies or options to clear up the problem. He was not willing to make up for the wrongdoing one bit, when his crew was 100% responsible for the mistake. I was disgusted by his manner and his disregard for customer satisfaction. Furthermore, we were informed if we wanted the crew to come back out to move the trees (to the places we originally wanted them) we would lose our 2 year guarantee on the trees and additionally we would have to pay the planting fee of $230 or more. I have never met a business owner with such disrespect for the customer. We will NOT be back and suggest that others explore other local lawn/landscaping companies before walking into a horrible situation such as the one that we encountered with Robert and his company. Friday Rick Roberts Lawn service was at my residence in Jamaica Bay. They weed wacked around my homesite. Consequently when I got home from work my A/c was not working. At 10:30pm when my husband got home from work we went outside to see if we could determine what was wrong it was 90 degrees in the house. We noticed bare wires hanging from under the a/c. The landscape company was not available on the weekend so 3 days with 90 degree temps in the house. So my husband called a friend who had an a/c man who was kind enough to come out and fix it at 8:30 this morning. He did it very efficiently and reasonably. When we called the landscape office they declined to reimburse us saying that its their policy to come look at it first and then would send an a/c person out . My question is how many 90 degree days must we wait. Shame on you Rick Roberts Too bad I live in a development that uses you. The job you do is not very good and for that I also give you 0 stars!!! Worst lawn care service company in the area! Have been a residential customer of this outfit for 9 years and didn't balk when Roberts increased my monthly rate to $110 in 2016. However, 2017 has been awful. Repeated excuses for missed cuts being "rain" and once the gal in the office used the excuse of workers being overwhelmed by the heat! Never offered to refund/credit account for these frequent missed cuts. Roberts changed my cut day to Fri. (was getting it cut on Mon./Tues) so when they "made up" a missed cut, they came on Mon/Tues but never came back that Friday for the regular cut but came the following Friday. This creative accounting results in always having a missed cut and the frequency of this resulted in more than 6 cuts I had paid for (I pay in advance for the full year in order to get a discount on service) that when calculated @ $22/cut resulted in more than the yrly discount I received. During the summer 2017, several neighbors chided me b/c my lawn was the worst looking on the street. None of their various lawn service folks missed cuts because of "rain" or "heat issues"! Once Roberts' negligence resulted in several sections of my lawn growing to 12" high! Labor Day week, they missed my Sept., 8th cut and when I called, they once again used rain as their excuse. However, there was no appreciable rain that week and definitely none on Sept. 7 and 8th (I began marking my calendar with climate conditions) and Irma didn't come until late on Sept. 10! Roberts did issue me a credit of $22 when their new crew chief skipped my lawn once. In Sept., Roberts sent me an invoice for $88 monthly lawn cut service. They failed to cut on Sept. 8th - the following week was Irma - they cut week of the 18th. I called office and expressed my dismay and dissatisfaction and the office person, noted that final cut would be Sept. 29th. Guess what? Roberts was a no show on the 29th and there was no rain issue that week. I called and spoke with Debbie and told her that it was unacceptable for them to charge me $88 for what amounted to one cut during the month of Sept. Have left several messages (believe they're using caller ID to screen my calls 'cause no one answers or returns my calls) and still haven't received any apologies or resolution to this matter. This is absolutely highway robbery. So...anyone looking for a lawn service company - be wary of using this outfit. read more
