I went to this place a few months ago but I had totally forgotten to leave a review. This barber shop is not what it used to be, I loved coming here since 2015 due to its proximity to where I live and during those times they had about 6 barbers and you could easily walk in and out, now they only have about 4 and the girl who cut my hair knew nothing about cutting hair, when she finished my haircut she asked her mom (the owner) if how she had cut it was ok, I mean if you know how to cut hair why would you ask another barber how you did? And then she asked her mom again how much she had to charge, clearly she was new and inexperienced and had no business being there. This place has really gone down hill. There are only like 2 good barbers there. Last time I went the lady could ls hardly understand what cut we wanted and she did awful. After she cut a styled it in a fohawk she preceded to cut it straight accords the top part that was so piked. Seriously I don't even cut hair and I knew that was wrong. We've brought my son into the shop since he was 9 months old and always looks so handsome after! My dad is the owner and the shop has been around since I was a baby. I swept the hair there when I was little and in response to D.Y's review: there have been signs up for as long as I can remember to control your kids in the shop because it gets very busy and it's especially important to keep them away from the doors which open very frequently by customers entering and exiting. I have 3 babies under the age of 3 so I understand it can be difficult to keep a toddler entertained- but even from experience of being in the shop frequently when I was younger, my dad was never rude for no reason and gave people with kids plenty of leniency before asking them to control their kids. It's sad to to give a low rating to rick's which is owned by Carol (she also cuts my hair). I've been coming here for 10 months with no complaints. As I entered the business, Carol said there is 2 a head me, which I said no problem. As she finished the second person (45 minutes later) a guy took a seat in her chair. She came over and said I'm next and was sorry, I replied ok. While she was cutting his hair another guy came in and was talking with Carol as she was cutting the customers hair. Yes, as you might've guess it, after she finished cutting the guy sitting in her chair, she has this guy take a seat in her chair. I went over asked her "you said I'm next" what up? She said the the barber across from her will cut my and that she is still busy. I stated this was wrong and I've been wait over an hour now. She just smiled and kept saying the other barber is very good and she can cut my hair. Still enjoy the haircut but, I hate this is another business that is doing a money-grab. CASH-ONLY now. If you don't have cash that's okay you can withdraw money onsite for $3.00. When I first started using this business there was no charge to pay by credit card or ATM. Then they charged a fee. Now cash-only. Do you think the shop owns the machine or just takes a cut? I take my boys here and always go to Alan... one thing I don't like is how rude the owner memo can be when it comes to my two year old. I get that you have rules but don't be rude when you want to address them. My son just touched the blinds once and he was so rude about it. First thing you will see upon entering this place is a GIANT award on the wall saying "were number 1". This place is voted the BEST barber shop in the Inland Empire by the SB SUN. For a barber shop, I must admit, it's a pretty fancy joint. Everybody over there does a nice job when it comes to cutting hair...I always go to the same guys...Little Ricky and Junior. When it comes to a man's haircut, there is no substitution for a "real" barbershop... And this is as real as it gets. From the striped pole outside to the straight shave inside, this reminds me of when I was younger. There is always good conversation going on. Unfortunately, I no longer have enough hair to be able to enjoy a good cut, I can live vicariously through my two boys and their great heads of hair!! The price is more than other shops in town ($13) but the experience is why I keep bringing my boys back. Based on past cuts, I suggest going with the younger guys there for a close, even cut. read more

Ricks barbershop has been in business for over 10 years in the same location, I have been going there for over a year and I like my haircuts with a barber instead of a salon stylist, the haircuts are 14$ but very worth it, my barber is Eddie and he is great very professional, gets the job done and is personable. read more

I just moved to Yucaipa and found Rick's through Yelp and I'm glad I did. They knew how to cut my hair. I'm not sure about all the bad reviews but I'm very picky about my hair cut and never give 5 stars. The place is clean, professional, and very reasonably priced. If you think $13 is expensive then you have never been to the city for a cut. To the mom who was complaining about letting her 3 year old sit in the barber chair to wait, duh! Great hours open really early. Old school style cut and flat razor I only get cut by Memo and Seemi. My boy likes the young guy by the restroom . I suggest being selective on who cuts your hair and not for longer hair which one of my boys have the lady butchered it but this is the only place I go to for buzz cut ... $14 bucks. read more

Love this Barber Shop...Always treat me well and always fair...haircuts are $14 and bring cash no cc. They used to accept cc but changed to cash only to keep his prices down (he told me he was going to pass the fees to his customers but changed his mind...glad he did...$14 is plenty ). He has a cc machine...$3 fee...I also bring my son and they do a great job with his hair...need to keep my boy in check at times as they run a tight ship...I like it!
