I had their cream cheese and bagels. I like poppy seed bagels best. There was way too much poppy seeds and the taste just wasn't great. I did have their potato knish, that was yummy. I tried to get that on my last day there and they were sold out. I asked for latkes, also sold out. I didn't try their reuben, if was staying longer I would have tried that. Weekends are very busy and no seating. They do have Dr. Brown sodas, so they do follow some tradition. I just wish they would get better quality bagels. But I still think it's definitely a worthwhile visit. Great location.

Better than and more options than a hotel lobby self serve "mini mart." They serve self serve coffee (Members, don't forget to ask for your complimentary daily coffee tickets upon check-in!) but this place also has a barista for hot or iced lattes. Decent lattes, thankfully made with espresso shots not watered down or weak & wimpy. On par with what you would get at Starbucks. The latte menu is NOT extensive so don't expect a long latte/coffee drink menu like at Starbucks. I posted a pic of the latte/tea/juice/bfast sando menu with prices so have a look. Staff is SUPER NICE but both times I was there getting a hot latte, there was ONE WORKER each time running cash AND barista-ing. Not many more can fit behind that tiny ordering counter frankly. If you DO feel like going off the property to go to an indie coffee shop, I drove to and tried the relatively new Grit Coffee in Midtown for the first time - pretty good (read my review and see my pics): Or go to the ever-famous Aromas in CW near the William&Mary campus, an OG legend which imo is overhyped but still a good option - parking can be a pain, frankly better to walk there from the hotel (it's prob a 20 min walk to Aromas but you walk straight down beautiful CW - on a nice day, can't beat that.).

But those were somehow not even the worst parts. Let's talk about the garlic. They used jarlic. Not fresh garlic. Jarlic. The wet, pre-minced stuff sitting in a jar of acid and preservatives. And you could absolutely taste it. It tasted less like garlic and more like someone poured citric acid over the pizza. That sour, metallic, preserved-garlic taste was everywhere. If your kitchen can make pizza but cannot be bothered to chop a clove of garlic, that tells me pretty much everything I need to know about the food. And then there was the spinach. I paid EXTRA for spinach. They put ONE piece of spinach on each slice. Literally. One. I actually had to look at the pizza for a moment because I couldn't believe someone had intentionally prepared it that way and then sent it out the door. One lonely piece of spinach per slice isn't a topping. It's evidence that spinach was once in the building. Charging extra for that is absurd. So, to recap: soggy crust, tasteless cheese, garlic from a jar that tasted like citric acid, and a paid spinach topping rationed out one leaf at a time. This wasn't mediocre pizza. Mediocre would have been an improvement. This was remarkably bad. The person who took my order was pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. That is the entirety of the positive feedback I have. I would not order this again if it were free. Never again

So, I've eaten there once. Food was good, shame the staff is such absolute shit. The owner is a racist and has been heard telling people to keep their niggers off of his patio. The assistant supervisor also literally gestured for me to go fuck myself. I'm very confused as to what warrants any of this as acceptable business practices. While they may have good food, supporting any of their locations tells them that this is acceptable behavior. I urge anyone reading this to steer clear, there is no control in their staff and hate in their hearts. If they are unable to treat humans with dignity, there's no saying what they'll do to your food if you order from them as someone they view as substandard. As it is apparent they lack solid moral fortitude, I also now question the cleanliness of their food preparation areas. I urge those with allergies, weak immune systems, children, the elderly and anyone who isn't a white male to steer clear. read more

Found online, love cheese steaks so i thought me and my girlfriend would try it out, easy to find place in Colonial Williamsburg. We walked through the door and it was different from what i had experienced before, it was a dive restaurant, nothing fancy but if that what they are going for , i loved it. Nonetheless we were welcomed by the friendly server, and sat at a window table. we ordered our food as we both had cheeses steaks and an order of cheese fries, i was surprised by how quickly the food arrived it was maybe five minutes. At first glance, i was overwhelmed by the cheese steaks because of the size of them, i ordered a large but my girlfriend ordered a small one and hers was still humongous. the server was regular at tending to us and we enjoyed ourselves. So basically, i love this place the taste of everything was amazing and needed nothing, i definitely told my girlfriend w were coming here more often. read more

We stumbled across Rick's thanks to Yelp! The staff was so very friendly. Greeted us as we walked in the door and quickly cleaned a recently vacated table to accommodate our party. Had drinks delivered quickly. We order 3 cheesesteaks, wings and chicken fingers along with cheese fries and onion rings. The cheesesteak was well seasoned a juicy with fresh veggies. The chicken fingers were huge and tasted great! The wings were extra crispy and had great flavor. My son, who normally won't share his wings, insisted that we all try them. We'll definitely be back on our next trip through Williamsburg!! read more

I have been coming here since they had Straight out of Philly in Newport News. The quality and quantity of food here can't be matched in Williamsburg. The service is first rate all the time. When they are really busy they always acknowledge you right as you walk in. If there's a wait, wait. You will never be disappointed here. I haven't and been a customer at three of their locations over the last ten years. When I have friends or family come in town this place is mandatory. I never once had someone complain. Just visited Ricks after walking around Williamsburg while visiting from California. I checked Yelp and saw the awesome reviews so I decided to check it out. It not only lived up to the expectations but blew them out of the water. The server was fantastic, super friendly and very helpful. I got the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and it was incredible, probably the best cheesesteak I've ever had (and yes, I've had them in Philly). I'm not sure if/when I get back to this area, but I'll absolutely go back to Rick's! read more

I'm from Philadelphia and this is the closest cheese steaks that you'll find, south of Philadelphia. It's every bit as good as Pat's or Gino's. The real deal with Philadelphia rolls and piles of steak. First few bites you have to eat with a folk unless you can dislocate your jaws. read more

The chicken wings are some of the larger ones I have ever been served. My onion rings came out hot, lightly battered and tasting good. At 1:30 in middle of week there were only a few other tables occupied. Raven was the only server and was maintaining service well. She came back and checked on us several times. If we are in area again this could be a stop.
