They were very friendly, courteous and anything was "no problem" I needed a clean out and a move of items....they came with 2 trucks. I was scared when I saw all the negative reviews, but two guys came and not only cleaned out my basement, but cleaned it, and even took all the wood in the yard (which I was going to delegate to the tree guys). I ended up paying $1300 for a job which filled a $500 dumpster. - At the web-site they claim that they give good items to donations and the woman on the phone assured me that not only that but I would not be charged for items going for donation. Well, the guys who cleaned out (barely spoke english - must be same guys from other review) explained to me that there will go nothing to donation. I wished I would have looked at the other yelp reviews first. Obviously they are not eager to have repeat business. in the beginning they said they would clean the carpets but they only picked up some debris, not a thorough sweeping as I hoped. read more

Rick was referred to me by a real estate agent. He gave me a very reasonable estimate to empty my late mother's basement. Sounds all good, right? He sent these 4 men to do the 2 day job. One spoke fluent English. They were all very nice, respectful and worked really hard. On the first afternoon, I saw one of the men go downstairs with a circular saw and asked about it. There was a metal desk that needed to be cut to bring up the stairs. When I heard the saw start up, I peeked downstairs (could only see the bottom of the staircase) and I saw sparks flying from the room on the right. I got the office on the phone and as we were speaking, my fire alarm came off and the police and fire dept showed up within minutes. Seems that the saw was gas powered. The smoke was really bad (no fire, thankfully), but the fire department detected lethal levels of carbon monoxide. The house was evacuated for about 4 hours. The fire dept contacted OSHA who came right away. The workers did not understand the danger they were in. Rick provided the tool for them to use indoors. They were telling the rep from OSHA that they feared they would be fired. In fact, Rick did blame it on them when I finally talked to him 6 hours later. I felt bad for me, sure, but I really felt bad for these hardworking, yet naive, workers. Ten more minutes and they could have all passed out. Obviously Rick was not concerned at all about their safety and I did not receive an apology or any type of compensation. I figured OSHA would dole out some punishment, so I let them handle it. Not only should you not hire, but tell everyone you know that he is bad news. This was the second horrible referral I got from realtors, specifically Sotheby's and Coldwell Banker. read more

I recently contacted this company about trash removal and was rudely treated. After explaining what I needed to the woman who answered the phone line I was placed on a hold, a 7 minute hold, after which I hung up, made several other buisness call and called back. The same woman answered and in an effort not to repeat myself, I explained that I was the same person she had on hold for 7 minutes and wanted to know when would be a best time to book the pick up. She responded that 7 minutes was not a very long time, and that the phones were acting up and that she was the only one handling the situation. Not once did she apologize or change her tone. I told her flat out that although I was sorry she was in that position to have a customer on hold for 7 minutes was a long time and that since it appeared she didn't care about my time, she didn't need my buisness. She responded fine and again with no apology. I have since hired another company. I have used their services twice since I purchased my home in 2011 and will not use the company again and will not recommend the company to anyone else in my area as I have done in the past. Oh and when I tried to email them about this experience, their mail box was full; maybe full of other complaints that they dont want to address read more

Rick's Clean Out stepped in to rescue me when another service failed me in the middle of my move, and I'm so sorry I hadn't called him in the 1st place. Rick understood the position I was in and negotiated a price that was more than fair. Rick's workers, who were all courteous, friendly and extremely hardworking, did a remarkable job of cleaning out my house and packing up for my move. The clean out was amazing. I was quoted a price over the phone sight unseen by Rick himself. On the day of the service they estimated me at over 2X's the estimate. After negotiating down to near the agreed price we agreed. 2 guys that came barely spoke English, one not at all. They were quick but lingered in their truck outside the home for at least over 2 hours after the job was finished. I can only "assume" they were rummaging the items being disposed of. Unfortuneately, a day later I realized they had taken 3 boxes that they shouldn't have that contained very valuable, irreplaceable items (jewelry and legal documents). I should have kept a better eye on them but in my defense it was a very emotional day as they were disposing of my recently deceased brother's home. When I called to see if by chance the boxes were still there I was told they were already disposed of. I was willing to go to the dump and search for them but realized they were long gone.When I called again to "vent" suggesting that we both know that whether it's their policy or not, those boxes were rummaged through (95% of what was being discarded was placed in trash bags by me the re were 3 boxes only). What the RIGHT thing to do was to speak to me and ask if I had truly meant to throw these things away instead they "stole" very valuable items. How they sleep at night is beyond me! No one can tell me differently that the jewelry is in some Pawn shop. The furniture was probably either sold and/or donated for their own tax credit which is fine, I expected that. I did not get a receipt which when I called was told I would get in the mail. Luckily I have witnesses to the time they arrived and left and who heard me mention the agreed upon price when I paid the workers because I am expecting a "bill" higher than the agreed amount. I cannot undo what has been done, sadly, but anyone reading this please take note. DO NOT DO THIS ALONE when dealing with estate clean out. Your mind may not be clear and people like this will take advantage of you. What goes around comes around. Wish I had read the reviews 1st. Hope this helps someone else. read more
