I have moved over 20 times in my lifetime, and this was the 2nd worst moving experience I have ever had. Not one, not two, not three, ...but multiple items were broken or damaged. In addition, multiple items were assembled incorrectly. The people that actually moved the items into my home couldn't have cared less about our things. Unfortunately, I took the minimum insurance. We hired White Glove moving to help with our interstate move. The estimator was very thorough marking all the items to be moved and packed. And we received an extensive organized list of our belongings to be moved and the estimate. The day came when the packing team arrived. They were efficient, reliable and helpful and fast packing and crating. Each day we walked around the house to make sure we were on the same page as far as what needed to be packed. The reason for 3 stars --- 1. Once we moved and started unpacking, we realized how many things were broken and damaged. They just threw our stuff inside the boxes and the storage we owned with no protection. 2. Their expectation of exorbitant tips after they packed/loaded AND unloaded was unreasonable. 3. We had no idea we had to tip after packing/loading stage was done, and we sent the tips via venmo soon after they left, but they must have been 'not happy' about it, they smashed our pool table slate which we paid the third party special crating company to pack. 4. One of the crew was so disrespectful at both houses. This company represented well in the beginning but they fell short for us. I would not recommend for long distance move. read more

I unfortunately have to give 2 stars - the first part of my move went great, while the second was a disaster. I moved from NYC to Southern California and hired White Glove. I only had a one-bedroom apartment to move and sold my couch, coffee table, and tv / tv stand, so it was a fairly small move. The quote process was very smooth. I booked the Platinum package where I was told I "wouldn't have to lift a finger." My pick up day was great. 3 movers came, and they were right on time and very efficient and considerate. I had White Glove store my things for a few weeks until I signed a new lease. When it came time for drop off, about a week before they gave me a 4-day window and an email that said they'd give 1 business day's notice before drop off. Then, they called me on Monday afternoon to tell me that my things would be delivered either on Tuesday or Wednesday. I told them that I needed to know because I was 2.5 hours from the location and also needed to reserve the elevator in advance. Finally, at around 7pm on Monday evening, they told me my delivery would be between 12 and 5pm the next day. I really didn't appreciate the lack of notice but went with it. I had confirmed the 53-foot tractor size with my building beforehand - and there was space right in front for it. But they brought a side-loading truck that they then couldn't unload due to a 1-way street. The driver (who was very nice, not his fault) spent over an hour videoing the entire street and talking to the company only to tell me they'd have to transfer my things to a U-haul and come back later that night. They came back at 6:30pm and only with 2 movers. The drop off took over 4 hours (more than the pick up with full packing service). The movers also initially refused to take any boxes/paper/plastic. I got mad at them and they took it - but I've never in all of my 8 moves not had movers at least take some of this away, even with low-budget companies. I've also never had fewer than 3 movers, and movers who clearly didn't know how to assemble a bed frame. Long story short, my tiny move-in took until 11pm at night and was stressful, exhausting, and definitely not "white glove" service given the price I paid. Maybe they are good for short, NYC-local moves, but I wouldn't recommend this company at all for long-distance. read more

I just wanted to commend Boni and his team on their excellent service with our move from NYC to Philly on May 2. The arrival window was 8 to 10, they arrived shortly after 8 and worked non-stop until all of our very carefully wrapped and boxed possessions were loaded onto 2 trucks at around 3. Then they made two stops to unload (after a three-hour drive), at our rental and our storage unit , with everything being completed around 9:30, which meant they would not be getting home until around 1 in the morning. I am using White Glove for a move from Hoboken, NJ to Texas. I like that White Glove did an in-home inspection and that the estimator for our job lives in Hoboken. After getting a few quotes and comparing them, the ones I did over the phone with other moving companies were slightly cheaper but their total box count was way lower. I was happy that white glove guaranteed their rate after the in-home inspection. This is a major risk if you decide to use other movers and only list stuff over the phone. White glove does it right! The day of the move out, I wasn't fully prepared, I still had 5 or so boxes that needed to be sealed and the moving team, led by Stone, showed up exactly on time. Stone assured me it was no problem for his crew of 3 to quickly close them up and get them onto the truck, which they did with remarkable speed. We have several glass pieces, odd size furniture and pictures and other stuff that wouldn't fit into traditional boxes. These guys were like magicians with how they formed perfect protective barriers for the items. I also had two places to pickup from - my apartment and my storage unit down the road. final update. customer service reached out and provided some clarity and even discovered a small difference in what was due/paid/owed, to which they will provide payment via Zelle. pennies compared to the cost of the move, but still shows class and prioritizing the satisfaction of their customers. not sure if my reviews played any part in their action, but either way they made efforts to make things right. overall, i think WG is a great option. if i ever have to make a big interstate or cross country move, WG will definitely be at the top of my list and their pricing is reasonable. definitely recommend read more
