The home owner will have to be the accountant with several phone calls from Glen, the GC, asking how much $ is left every few weeks- wanting the final draw BEFORE completion of work. Did not accurately draw up the discussed vaulted ceiling so paid extra $ due to incorrect blueprints; the "maintenance free" screened porch had numerous pine knot stains over every wall come through within 1 month of completion...which is ongoing maintenence! The interior windows were incorrectly installed in the wrong color causing delay for correct custom windows to arrive. Interior doors installed without door frames as well as drywall finish look hideous. Home owner had to fix door knobs. They promised a final cleaning which did not happen. GC referred to the home owners' wife as a b**** to other subcontractors. Communication so poor GC requested subcontractors to discuss matters with us, the home owners, as to smooth out tensions. Many of these subcontractors were wonderful, respectful and professional and clearly not connected to SkyBrynnes business tactics. Abruptly GC's wife "took over" in her words through email correspondence with a lecture on how "we as customers are to behave going forward." We noted at initial introductions of future construction plans in the home; so there was great potential of this company acquiring future work of a laundry room addition; a full bathroom and office space addition and 2 bathroom remodels. We have built 2 homes, hired many different contractors that we gave returning business for large jobs in 5 different homes and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.

Gaps, no flashing at the chimney, shingles that didn't reach the gutter, etc. I contacted Skye-Brynn about their 10 year warranty on proper installation and asked them to take a look at the roof to verify that they may have been responsible for the leaking. To my knowledge, they never even went and looked at the roof. Just stoped communicating with me. I ended up having to pay someone to repair the damage (due to improper installation) 2 weeks later because I couldn't get anyone from Skye-Brynn to talk to me. Beware. They did a poor installation job and then refused to stand by their work when their poor installation resulted in a leaky roof.

We were so please with their customer service, quality of work and genuine communication skills that when it came time to replace our roof it was a no brainer who it was going to be. Once again they did not disappoint. Keith, who was our sales rep, was the same person we had 12 years ago for the siding job and he was straight forward and gave us a very fair price as a returning customer. Kimberly was terrific letting us know what was going on with the scheduling process and Rick was the onsite company rep that kept us in the loop with everything was going on during the entire process and was more than happy to answer all of my stupid questions. What I really want to mention was the outstanding job the crew lead, Sebastian, and his merry men did. I have NEVER seen this before..... during a roofing replacement-these guys actually covered all four side of house with tarps during the old shingle removal so that the exterior would not get dirty-unbelievable. Who does that? CHI&R does, that's who! I could go on and on but you get the idea. Hire these guys you won't regret it.

City confirmed req'd but not filed. 2)Inspections not requested until after final $ cleared. 3)CHI didn't have 1 person who understood/oversaw full scope project - No understanding of reason repeatedly asking why installs in order doing, leading to inability to fully replace damaged wood. 4) MAJOR CONCERNS w/siding crew & PM. Crew tried to cut corners whenever Proj Mgr Efrain not onsite (often) - cut every service line into home (phone, fios, cable/internet & wires/boxes tossed and wires inaccessible for future reconnect), caught skipping taping j-channel around windows before siding, and didn't complete door wraps. 5)Not compensated for doing Proj Mgr job for 2 days because not onsite, and using crew that cuts corners. 6)Siding crew v. disrespectful of homeowner; Crew ignored homeowner and phone directive by PM to allow service guy access, resulting in delay and service reconnect almost walking away 7) WINDOWS: Manufacturer install specs not followed- voiding warranty/wind rating - addressed at install but not corrected, so had to request CHI return to install missing screws. While did, stated 'not worried as they deal w/it if issue' (perhaps, IF still in biz, but assume people want what paid for - wind rating and warranty not a future repair cuz skipped step). PM Neil, roof crew, Dalton on gutters, and Kim in office are only reason rated higher than 1*.

As you can imagine no one from Wholesale Roofers wanted this phone call and it took SEVERAL attempts of me leaving messages before I finally got a call back. By this time the walls were somewhat dry but heavy with discoloration from the heavy rain storms. They finally sent someone out to review the damage and they informed me someone would contact me. Well that call NEVER came. I reached out again left several messages with some of the reps on my contract agreement and I think you know how this ended. This experience turned into an absolute nightmare. They carelessly nailed through my air…read moreconditioning line REPEATEDLY (see photo). This mistake caused major damage and left me without AC -- not only an inconvenience but a massive, unexpected expense to repair. When the problem was diagnosed, I contacted Atlantic Craftsman to see if they would help cover a portion of the cost. I would not only need to repair the line they destroyed, but I would also need to have part of my roof taken off to access the pipe. They emailed me back saying that I was on my own and that they wouldn't cover ANY of the repairs. What's worse, the company showed little accountability. They didn't even acknowledge that they made a mistake or say sorry for the problems they caused me. I reached out again asking if they could at least provide me with some extra shingles since I would need to remove a portion of them to repair the pipe. They never responded to my emails or phone calls. The team on site also destroyed my plants and left nails everywhere (resulting in a popped car tire). If you're considering hiring them, beware. Their negligence ended up punishing me more than them.
