The food is very good, staff is very friendly. Owners come out to greet the guest. Well worth a visit for some real Spanish food.

Blairsville, Georgia~ Stopped in after reading the great reviews. The owner was sweetly gruff! He told us he was from Cuba and raised in Miami. His wife and daughter are the cooks. The cafe is inviting although sparse. Chicky bowl had good flavor and the yellow rice really set off the flavor of the chicken. My lunch mate said it reminded her of a chicken cacciatore dish. Piggy bowl was really delicious with two different kinds of beans. The shredded pork was a nice blend of tart and crispy. Unfortunately the Cuban sammy left a lot to be desired. The bread was dry and hard, without any flavor. Yes it was "pressed " but we expected a sandwich with plenty of juicy meat and cheese hanging over the sides! Not so. Very little mayo or mustard to cut the dry bread, one pickle, and very little meat. (See photo) Three of us had the Cuban. All 3 of us agreed that this would not be something to recommend. One of my lunch mates had the schnitzel sandwich. The pork loin was breaded, dry and had no flavor. He also said he would not recommend this sammy. Overall, this would be a one and done for all of us. We are from Orlando and have some spectacular Cuban sandwich restaurants here. Lots of locals with great Cuban roots. read more

I was really hungry and I wanted to try something new. I opened Yelp and looked for restaurants and this one had 4.5 stars so I decided to give them a shot. As soon as I entered, I was greeted very warmly and I was able to choose the table that I wanted to sit. The waitress was very friendly and very patient as I did not know what yo get. I asked her about the cuban sandwich and she spoke highly of it so I went with it. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and the sandwich had a very good flavor. The ambiance is great because there is plenty of space and/or spacious. If you want to try something new this is your place. The family works together which is good because you are getting the best customer service and the quality of the food is above what you can get from a chain restaurant. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and the want great, but it was good. I got the ropa vieja I broke that is what it's called. The beef was pretty salty, but the rice and beans were really good and the plantains were amazing! My bf got the schnitzel and he thought it was good, but not the same as other schnitzel he's had before. He got tostones and those were pretty great. An incredible find in the North GA mountains. Authentic Cuban food full of flavor and a host full of warm hospitality. My friends and I came to stay a weekend in the mountains and we found this amazing little spot. We were greeted by Ray the owner who took great care of our hungry group. For appetizers we ordered Yuka fries and tostones. The yuka was fresh and crisp and came with a great dipping sauce. The tostones were perfectly fried and the garlic mojo that goes with it was on point. For main course I had the Ropa Vieja (shredded beef in sauce) with rice and black beans. This food here is as good as I've had in places in Miami. We ended up coming back the next day. Great service and fantastic food. We plan to come back in the future. read more

This is the best Cuban / Puerto Rican restaurant in Blairsville. I've been to the other Latin Restaurantes in Blairsville but Nani's is just a superior Restaurante or Fonda as they used to be called in the islands. The couple that runs it just make the right team. The owner is friendly, his wife is a great chef and they have excellent service, good prices and a friendly atmosphere. This is truly home cooked meals. You feel like you are in some Cuban or Puerto Rican campo. The only thing I'm not happy about is that I've been told they ate selling the restaurant. Please say it isn't so. read more

My wife and I had a chance to eat in this restaurant today and it was outstanding. We live in Atlanta where there are many Cuban Restaurants and I have tried most of them. None are better than Nani's. My wife had the Cuban Sandwich Special and I had the Shrimp Scampi. Both were great. My boyfriend got the Cubano which I thought was pretty good. We got the empanada as an appetizer and it was sooo yummy. Super flavorful. Crispy on the outside and luscious on the inside. This place is a hidden gem, the kind where you go and have some of the best food in your life for a couple bucks. I had the ropa vieja for lunch with rice and beans. They let you do half and half black and red beans which is nice. This was the best ropa vieja I have had in my life! I also got some flan which was so delicious and authentic. Prices were very fair. Service was over the top good. The owner is there to help with a big smile on his face. It's clear he takes personal pride in his restaurant which is very rare these days with restaurant owners.
