There are a few places/people I will always be sure to visit or drive by while in Cleveland; the Boys & Girls Club Headquarters, the emergency shelter, my sister, Lee University. And when it comes to coffee, it will always be Bonlife. Whether coffee or espresso, they consistently achieve perfection. The bean, roast, grind, and pull/brew is always a work of art. My last visit found me there twice within a three hour period. Like the saying goes, "can't get too much of a good thing." Or coffee (my paraphrase). The team is always friendly and the ambiance is so welcoming and relaxing. I have only spent time onsite long enough for my drink to be prepared, but I do plan to go and enjoy the setting and food one day. Cleveland's coffee scene has truly blossomed over the years, but when I'm in town there's only one worth patronizing. I recommend you do the same. read more

Their coffee is always consistently good - they make their syrups in house , offer great seasonal lattes, and they take great care in their puck prep to serve high quality drinks. Their breakfast bagels are really good, and the staff is knowledgeable. I drive 30 mins one way to come here, it's that good! Parking is never an issue, and there is usually somewhere to sit. This was my second time coming here and I really enjoyed my order. I got the Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk and Honey as a sweetener since it's normally unsweetened. I really liked it, the matcha was smooth. Presentation with the glass cup and gold re-usable straw was so cute and aesthetic. I also tried a bit of my friend's Vietnamese Cold Brew, and I'll most likely get that next time as well it was so tasty. The only reason why I'm giving this experience four stars was the service. I felt like the baristas and servers were so kind and personable last time, but on this day they were cold. I could feel the heat of the cashier's stare on me as the tip options window popped up. The atmosphere of this place is exactly what Wev been missing at other Cleveland coffee shops. Service though is terrible! Took forever to get our food and skipped my husbands order completely. The coffee honestly is one of the best in town but with the way the service was I don't think we'll be back. You guys have to find a better system, take names or something give out numbers I don't care. Greet people, smile, make it a happy environment to walk into. Beware of coarse sugar at the bottom of your drinks. The two drinks I've tried from here both had coarse sugar lingering in the bottom of the drink. (One vanilla latte, the other chai. Both iced). I don't think they use syrup to sweeten their drinks.. Their bagels/ breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I would definitely recommend a snack with your coffee/ tea if you're going to come here. The facility offers an open layout with lots of seating options for both small and large parties. They also decorate for the season, which isn't necessary but an perk up for your day (and mood). read more

Never would've guessed I'd find my favorite coffee shop in Chattanooga (now that the Cherry Street Mad Priest closed) in Cleveland! What?!? Yes. Bonlife roasts and brews amazing coffee. Their baristas make delicious espresso drinks with care. The service is usually friendly. And the space has a perfect third-place vibe. Great for meeting a friend, getting some work done, or popping in on one of a seemingly infinite number of roundtrips between Knoxville and Chattanooga. I've ordered a sandwich a couple of times, and they're solid - just be prepared to wait a bit. It's not a professional kitchen and they're made to order. A friend brought me a coffee from BonLife and it met every detailed requirement I have for my coffees: #1 If it's a latte with sweetening(s) I MUST taste the espresso. This is a very big coffee shop which is ideal for larger gatherings. However the bulk of the seating is hard and metal which is not ideal for the community coffee shop vibe. Despite that I've seen many groups meet here for coffee and discussion. They have an unsecure network and lots of table spaces if you have work remotely for a while. I recommend taking a spot on the bar by the front for the view and the ability to stand up when your butt falls asleep from the chairs. They don't take cash here, except if you want to tip. To me that's really ridiculous. Call me old or out of touch but a business should accept our country's currency. The coffee is fine. I find it a bit florally and sweet. Good Atmosphere, however I ordered a mocha Frappacino but end up with thick bitter chocolate mix. After a few sips i had to request more ice to be added to be able to drink it . Not real sure anyone knew what a Frappacino was or how to make one & certainly did not want to go to any extra effort to correct it. They Almost seemed bothered to ask for ice. The true test is the cortados, they nail them every single time. The food is great, but that coffee. I graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, TN exactly ten years ago. Anyone who's ever visited the little college town of Cleveland knows that the COLLEGE was really the only thing it had going for it. Well, not anymore it seems. Lately, Cleveland has been building up and becoming quite...swanky? Well, not really but close. I recently visited for an event and had a few hours to kill so I decided to try to find a coffeeshop so I could get some work done. I stumbled upon BonLife and from the moment I pulled up in front of it, the cool graphics on the outside glass drew me in. Once I entered the shop I was pleasantly surprised by the cool, young, hipster vibe it had going on. If you've ever been to Cleveland you'd know that those words can NOT be used to describe the town at all so this was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure if the shop shared its space with another small funky looking t-shirt/jewelry company (because there's a separate counter off to the side) or if this is also part of BonLife. I visually scanned the items but I wasn't sure about purchasing. The atmosphere in the shop was quiet, perfect for getting work done and the shop's aesthetic was just overall very conducive to creativity. There were lots of cute tables, vintage comfy chairs and my favorite--tables that came down from the walls! Wifi was easily accessible and there were also an adequate amount of outlets. BonLife has a small but intriguing menu with a handful of delicious sounding items that made choosing difficult. In the end, I chose a Honey Cinnamon latte and a pimento cheese sandwich that they served on a waffle. I wasn't a big fan of the sandwich--I'm not sure the waffle worked with the pimento cheese but the latte was GREAT. I can't wait to return to Cleveland and to BonLife. read more
