    Breakfast burrito

I came for a private party on a Saturday afternoon so I can't comment on the bar experience but overall Ridgewood was very nice. It was a brunch party and we each got to choose an entree. I had the breakfast burrito with hash browns and it was very good for bar food. The service was good as well. I had a few bloodies and they were standard. I was there during a World Cup game and by 1pm the bar area was packed so it seems this is a local hot spot. They have fun railroad themed decor because you're right by the LIRR. Staff was very friendly. Parking is awful but you can park at the train station for free on the weekends.

About as run of the mill of a bar as you can get Wantagh. Drink options are nothing to write home to mom about, but the food is surprisingly quite good, I'd personally recommend the French dip sandwich. Staff has always been friendly, but that's really the high point of the place. Definitely attracts a much younger crowd on weekends, despite having the air of being a dad bar otherwise (which by no means is a bad thing in my book). Parking is pretty terrible, there is some along the road on sunrise highway which I could never recommend, or behind the building in a tight lot, but if you can I'd just park in the train station parking lot and walk a bit.

Great burger on a English muffin with Killah fries

What a great local bar ! Not only is the beer always ice cold but the food is really tops ! Wings are great as well as the burgers. Had the boneless chicken Tenders with Thai sauce so good nice kick. Burger was cooked to perfection medium like I ordered it. Fries came out well done also how I ordered it. Everything we have ordered here always comes out great ! A++++ love this place they have some great chicken parm egg rolls as starters as well as an everything pretzel. Both went fast , did not get to take a picture

I've passed this place a bunch and have been eager to try it for a while now and it did not disappoint... in fact it mostly exceeded my expectations! Very nice decor/aesthetic (I wish I remembered to take pics). Upon sitting down I was immediately let down by the beer selection but - that was the one and only "negative" part of my experience. They had maybe 6 or so taps only one of which was an IPA, idk why but I expected a broader selection / craft beers. We split an app of the mozzarella triangles that come with vodka sauce and they were soo good! My husband had the Cuban sandwich and subbed the fries for onion rings, all of which he said was really good. I had the Buffalo chicken skyscraper sandwich and it was one of the best Buffalo chicken sandwiches I've had to be honest lol. That seems like a bold statement but it was absolutely amazing. The bread was perfect and soft, nice crispy chicken and bacon and delicious Buffalo sauce and ranch (I swapped ranch instead of bleu cheese). It came with fries that were really good also. Our friends split the chicken "crunch wrap" which is just a regular wrap but the waiter informed us they will be changing it soon to resemble the Taco Bell Crunchwrap. Regardless, they thoroughly enjoyed it! Our waiter was also the bartender and despite having several couples seated at the bar, was incredibly attentive. We all at one point made a comment on how great the service was. That being said; great service, delicious food, nice/clean atmosphere... definitely worth the visit and we will be back!

A cornerstone of Nassau county and some of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Ridgewood station brings not only good times to Wantagh, but some history dating back to the 1800s of what that town and train station was called at one point. But enough of the history lesson let's get down to the great beers on taps, and amazing food that just smacks flavor all across yo face and you will wind up partying like it's 1899!! From the fried mozz moons, to the empanada plates, hot chicken sandwiches that pack a crunch, and not to mention one of the best bar tenders I've ever seen, and my good friend and rockstar legend in the making Eric! Say hi, grab a bite, cheer on your teams, and say hi! A great place to party hardy especially with the awesome party room they have! See ya there

Overall not a bad new spot in wantagh. Design is redone but overall the same as the old establishment. Would have been nice if they opened it up or moved the bar to a wall instead of the separate room for dining. Food wise i only got apps but they were all good. My favorite was the Reuben spring rolls and seasoned fries. Wings were decent however the chicken quesadilla was nothing to speak off. Bar wise beers were nice and cheap. They seem to have alot of specials which will be nice, especially during sporting events. Waitresses were nice and reasonably fast. They also had a pretty good knowledge of the menu considering they just opened. Overall a good spot that will probably be great to watch football or any sporting event. Parking is a little tough but its right by the railroad station so thats a plus.

3/9/19: Any and all past service issues at this place were clearly just growing pains - service gets better with every visit. Pastrami egg rolls are highly recommended. Burgers are not impressive and wouldn't recommend. Frozen patty with little flavor. Others raved about the buffalo chicken sandwich and French dip

Ridgewood is definitely one of the new hot spots in Wantagh. The new owners did a WONDERFUL job fixing this place up from what was Cleary's (RIP) - the renovations and decor are so nice and pay a really nice homage to Wantagh with a mural on the wall of the Ridgewood Station which was Wantagh back in the 1800s. Great spot to hang out at with a dart board, lots of TVs for sports and great weekly specials. Monday night is trivia night and $5.95 burgers and drink specials, Wednesday's karaoke night and Thursdays is ladies night. Always appreciate a bar that has stuff to do other than sit there and drink lol. The food is pretty good and their menu has a lot of unique dishes that you won't find everywhere, but also your classics like wings and spin dip. This photo is from one of the first weeks they opened and I believe they've updated it a bit since then but it gives you a good idea of the type of food they have there. Overall great new spot in Wantagh, so happy for the owners and wish them all the best.

BYOB $5 burger on Mondays with a ton of fries!

I came here about a week ago on a Saturday for their Heartbreakers party (5pm-9pm) with a few…read morefriends and had a great time! Tickets (~$30/pp) were easy to purchase via their website and they email you the QR code which you can show at the door when you arrive. No need to print the ticket! I was surprised at how big the venue was inside because from the outside, it looked like a small spot. Apparently this spot has been around for awhile because when I mentioned the place to my stepfather in law, he knew about it from when he was younger! The place was also surprisingly very clean and tidy. Coat check was $3 cash and the line went relatively fast. I was really happy they did not misplace or lose my jacket at the end of the night (speaking from my clubbing days from "back in the day"). You get a physical ticket after handing them your jacket and they even tell you to take a picture of the ticket in case you lose it during the night. After getting my coat checked, there was a table with lit up flower headbands and lit up foam sticks. These were both a hit as almost everyone at the venue had one of each. I would say the age range went from those in their 30s up to women in their 50s. Everyone was respectful of each other which was great. The place was crowded but not so crowded that you couldn't move around or felt claustrophobic though at times, the venue did get kind of warm inside. I did not order any food but I think the VIP tables had that option. I also did not order any drinks because I do not drink alcohol. My friends that did drink seemed happy with what they got. There were multiple bars throughout the venue which was great as you didn't have to walk far to get a drink. I had no issues with any of the staff throughout my night. The bartenders were pleasant as well as the staff handling the coats, the bouncers and security. There were two bathrooms (men and women) and there was always a line for both. At this specific party it was females only so staff allowed us to use the mens bathroom. The DJ (DJ Mary Mac) was great and played a good variety of music throughout the night. There was even a portion of the night where January birthday party goers got up on the stage to celebrate their birthdays. Sound quality was great and even though this was a "day party", it really felt like we were partying at night like the good old clubbing days haha. The con is that parking is hard to find so arrive early before the party. It is located right next to the LIRR train station so I guess that's good for those that want to travel by train. A lot of areas around the venue was 1 hour parking until 6pm or 8pm which was annoying because the party I was going to started at 5pm. Overall, I would definitely return for other events! It seems from their website that they always have something going on!

I went to the Nelly/Ja Rule/Eve concert, the next day I worked and drove my son and I out to WildWood, NJ to participate in a short part of my boyfriend's annual family vacation, Tuesday night I left Wildwood at 10 PM because I had a notary class Wednesday. After the concert my friend Jen told me she was going to be here with her other friends. So I went to meet them because I didn't get to see them during the concert. Jen is so amazing she's very generous with me even though she doesn't have to be, so she paid for my burger that I ordered here because I didn't eat dinner and when I got to Boss Crocker's I was hungry. I gave the bartender a $20 tip because if someone pays for my meal I like to pay it forward and give the waitstaff or bartender a banger tip. The bacon cheeseburger was very good. They made it very fast, I don't know if it was the hunger but I loved it. They made it medium rare at my request and it was one of the best burgers I ever scarfed down. The bar was a pretty good environment, it was a pretty chill crowd for a Sunday night, more packed than I thought it would be. I can't say much about the drinks I only drank water but give Boss Crocker's a chance!

He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home the moment we walked in. That kind of hospitality goes a long way and really sets a place apart. I ordered the Boss Burger Deluxe, and this was not your typical bar burger. It honestly ate more like a steakhouse-quality burger--juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. One of the better burgers I've had in a long time. Washed it down with a Guinness (2). While I don't love the size of the pour, I have to give credit where it's due--it was a great pour, done right, and that matters. I can't speak to the nighttime scene since I was there during the day, but it's a true local Irish pub, and I'd assume it turns into a fun time once the night crowd rolls in. Either way, I'll definitely be back--and I'd suggest everyone check it out for themselves.
