Even I got out on the floor, and I NEVER do that!! Two things we really loved: 1.) he got out on the dance floor with everyone, and talked to people, interacting, taking suggestions, and encouraging people to get out and move. That was awesome! 2.) when he did the obligatory "longest marriage" dance, he didn't make anyone leave the dance floor, he just went around and asked couples how long they had been married. It was fun to keep dancing with my wife, even though we haven't been married the longest. DJ Calvin is the best DJ we've experienced since my own wedding 25 years ago!!

Minda also teaches lessons, so I signed right up. Great experience. She's patient, willing to explain things to my engineering brain, and brilliant. More, when it came time to change a string, Minda gave me a lesson. She even let me change a few strings on a harp she was working on. Telling me how to do it, showing me how to do it, then letting me do it but talking me through each step. Finally, doing it on my own but with her watching. Great way of learning. I was able to go home and confidently change the string myself. Five of five stars. And an extra star because she's just so darn nice about it.

Brett Morrison greeted me upon entering and gave me the tour of his cute little boutique guitar shop. I call it boutique because they have their own line of guitars and are so far removed from the heartless Guitar Center experience. They are a huge breath of fresh air in a soulless world of shopping mass produced guitars that are average at best. Their guitars are not for beginners looking for cheap $150 starter guitar kits. But if you have been playing for a few years and like me know that it's more than just a passing interest, they have some wonderful instruments. They have their own guitar line designed to their specs and after handling them I can tell you that the construction and finish on them are excellent! I found a few that really peaked my interest, and Brent spent a lot of time with me showing me different guitars and just shooting the breeze with me, without the hard sell which was much appreciated. Check this place out if you're n the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed.
