I have a 10-year-old built-in Thermador fridge that initially had a defrost issue--it was blowing…read morehot air and warming up. Vadym came promptly and fixed that issue with no problem. Later, I had another problem as the fridge started making an odd noise. Initially, Vadym suspected it was the compressor fan, but the issue persisted. This issue had actually been lingering for a long time, I had at least four or five other companies came to diagnose the noise issue, each offering different quick opinions--some barely inspected it and suggested immediate part replacements, others insisted the fridge needed to be pulled out (which is a big job for a built-in unit) and fix from the back of the fridge. But none felt confident, they all rushed to conclusions without a proper diagnosis. Vadym stood out by taking the time. He thoroughly examined the fridge and, when the issue persisted, he consulted his network instead of guessing. Eventually, he figured out the noise was caused by the condenser pipe and water pipe being too close, which caused vibration when the compressor kicked in. In the end, he fixed it. What I truly appreciated was his commitment, he didn't rush to a quick guess; he invested time, asked for input, and returned until it was resolved. I would highly recommend Vadym and Metro Appliance to others.

Communication was very fast and service was prompt. We have used Alex several times for different appliance and he has always been great - straight shooter with a fair price. Definitely recommend.

Some of the cookwares are good but some of them are way overpriced…read more I have a rice cooker with them. The warranty is a joke because they calim that the products are discountinued and they don't do repair work any more. It makes my expensive cook pot worthless. Just get an instant pot and you can use it for everything.

We've passed by this place quite often. Finally had a reason to go inside. Remodeling kitchen now…read moreso need a new stronger & more quiet range hood. This place, of course, carries only their own brand, Pacific. When you go in, there are a total of maybe 7-8 different models in the store. There are also misc cookware that you can purchase towards the back of the store. The sales lady asked if it was for our personal use or rental property. Since it was for personal use, she only showed us 2 models. I mean, she was pretty nice, but we wanted choices to select from. When we asked to see the others along the wall, she didn't want to show us and just says that it's cheaper models and not as suitable for personal use. Mostly for rental properties where you would replace more often. I can understand that, but since the cheapest of the 2 models she showed us was about $600, We still wanted to see all the options. But nope, she insisted for us not to even look at them. So, in a way, I felt like she was just pushing the 2 most expensive ones to us. We looked at other places after we left there and found the exact models she showed us. It costs less in other stores and we were told that those are older models and there are better newer ones. Why wouldn't their own retail stores carry or show us the newer models?

Homewise (formerly Airport Appliance) comes through again with exceptional local service!…read more We have bought many appliances from Airport Appliance in the past--which is now Homewise. I was initially a bit worried that the business had been absorbed into a national chain, but it turned out to be just a name change with the same great local ownership. Most recently, our wall oven went dead on the 4th of July. We called Homewise and spoke with Lyla Vo, who was fantastic at advising us on replacement options. While working with her, we also decided to replace our 15-year-old dishwasher to take advantage of a two-item extra rebate! Over the years, we've tried other options in the area, but Homewise strikes the perfect balance: Vs. High-End Local Outfits: Higher-end stores seem bothered if you aren't remodeling an entire kitchen. Even though we'd bought from them before, they lacked interest when we only needed a single replacement item. Vs. Big National DIY Chains: Big-box stores are a headache. Twice, their installers walked out refusing to complete the job due to minor water, power, or circuit compliance issues. While those may have been on our end due to older coding, there was zero flexibility or real-time planning--they are bound strictly by corporate liability rules and won't work with you on the spot. Plus, you're basically dealing with a website, not a human. Why Homewise Wins: Even though we handled everything over the phone with Lyla, the entire experience was seamless. When we had follow-up questions, Lyla even responded from her phone after her shift was over! That kind of personal, above-and-beyond care is rare. On top of that, the installation process was super smooth, and they strictly honored their 4-hour delivery window. Homewise delivers the exact feel of working with a reliable, friendly neighborhood salesperson. Next time an appliance needs replacing, we're heading straight back to them. Please keep supporting local businesses like this one!

I was in the market for a new washer and dryer after my washing machine broke, so I looked around…read moreand compared prices at several different retailers. From the beginning, HomeWise Appliance had the lowest starting price. It was also during their Fourth of July sale, and I received an additional instant discount of $75 per appliance for purchasing both the washer and dryer, saving me another $150 total. There were also two additional manufacturer rebates available that I still need to submit. I have seen some reviews mentioning issues with receiving rebate money, so I cannot comment on that part of the process yet. However, even before factoring in those rebates, the washer and dryer were still the least expensive I found anywhere. With HomeWise's additional Fourth of July discount, the total price became even lower than every other retailer I compared. Even if I ultimately receive only one of the two rebates, this will still have been, by far, the best overall price. The service was also great. Delivery was available the next day, and I had no issues throughout the entire process. I was charged an additional $50 because my home has more than 32 stairs, which I thought was completely reasonable. The prices they offered for the required installation components were also reasonable. However, I already had some of my own new washer and dryer lines, and the installers were happy to use and install them without any problem. Antonio, who helped me at the Redwood City location, was extremely knowledgeable about the washer and dryer--more so than anyone I spoke with at the other stores I visited. I really appreciated his candor and his willingness to discuss the differences among the various options. At no point did I feel pressured to purchase anything, which was both important and refreshing. It genuinely felt like he was there simply to help me make the best decision. Overall, this was a great experience. Based on the pricing, knowledgeable service, next-day delivery, and lack of sales pressure, I would not buy my appliances anywhere else. HomeWise had the lowest starting price, the lowest final price after its own discounts, and the potential for even greater savings once the rebates are processed.
