Highly Recommend Riggs Roadside! I was headed out the door this morning trying to get to my office in Fort Mill when I got into my Subaru Outback and discovered that everything was completely dead. My husband tried jumping it with cables from his truck, but the car would only stay running while the cables were connected. As soon as we disconnected them, it died again. My husband had a meeting to get to and wasn't comfortable changing the battery himself, so I started searching Google for a mobile mechanic or towing company. Unfortunately, the places I called either didn't have availability, didn't offer mobile battery replacement, or wanted to charge me an arm and a leg just to tow my vehicle to a shop. I couldn't understand paying for a tow and then having to pay the shop for a battery and installation on top of it. Thankfully, one of the shops I called recommended Riggs Roadside, so I gave them a call. I spoke with Rod, and right from the beginning he was professional, clear, knowledgeable, and gave me the impression that he knew exactly what he was doing. When he arrived at my house, he didn't just assume it was the battery. He tested everything first and explained that my alternator was charging at 13.8 volts, which he said was within operating specifications. He then showed me that my battery was older and was actually leaking. Rod replaced the battery right there at my house with a brand-new battery that included a 4-year warranty. Throughout the entire process, he answered every question I had, showed me what he was doing and why, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. What impressed me most was how calm, attentive, professional, and genuinely nice he was. He even had a great sense of humor and somehow made a stressful situation feel like it really wasn't that big of a deal. There were no surprise charges, I never felt pressured or overcharged, and I felt completely comfortable with the service I received. Most importantly, he got my Subaru back up and running without any issues. Excellent Local Roadside Service -- Highly Recommend Riggs Roadside! My husband, kids, and I recently moved to the York County area from Wisconsin, so being new to the area, we really don't know who to trust yet when it comes to local services. While I was at work, my vehicle wouldn't start. I asked a coworker if they knew someone trustworthy who could test my battery and replace it if needed. They immediately recommended Riggs Roadside and gave me their contact information. I spoke with Rod, and from the beginning he was friendly, straightforward, and direct, which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he had a great sense of humor, plenty of common sense, and made the whole situation much less stressful. Rod tested everything before simply assuming I needed a battery. He confirmed that my alternator was charging properly and then showed me that my battery was bad. Come to find out, it was more than eight years old, leaking, and swollen! What impressed me most was how thorough and professional he was. Before removing the old battery, he took pictures showing exactly how it was positioned and connected. He documented the VIN and other important information, and after installing the new battery, he took additional pictures showing the completed installation. He emailed me a detailed invoice and explained that my new battery comes with a four-year warranty. He also took the time to show me everything around the battery area and answer my questions without making me feel rushed. I can't begin to say how thankful I am for another mechanic shop that didn't want to touch my issue with my car..GAVE ME RIGGS...I called him and told him what I got going on. He was in the next city about maybe 40 minutes to hour away. **IT'S ALMOST CLOSING TIME FOR MECHANICS**..He told me YES. The shop that I called was in walking distance THEY DID NOT EVEN WANT TO TOUCH IT. I CLEARLY understood why. RIGGS showed up and blessed me in a beautiful way. My situation was very ugly. He deserved more than what he charged me. That was a tremendous blessing for me too...I just spent too many hundreds to get my MAINTENANCE done. I was looking thousands after the MAINTENANCE was done and the company would NOT admit they did something WRONG TERRIBLY. I knew RIGGS was not going to be able to fix the issue only because of what my car did. HE SHOWED UP AND BLESSED MY DAY FAR MORE. HE DIDN'T WANT TO TOUCH EITHER .....I clearly understood why. My husband Charles and I were headed down to Newberry, South Carolina with our 4 kids for vacation when our Chrysler Town & Country Van blew the passenger side front and rear tire. The two flat tires put a damper on our little trip. We were stranded at the rest stop near Newberry and about 40 miles south of Spartanburg. We called several other roadside assistance and towing companies and they couldn't help us with getting two new tires so we can continue our trip they insisted on towing us 30 miles to a tire shop which would have costed us more money meaning that we would have to pay for the tow on top of buying two new tires for our van. We then came across Riggs Roadside Assistance on Google and saw what they do and seen that they really do go above and beyond for their customer's. Granted they would be coming from York, South Carolina which was about 75 miles from where we were stranded at. Rod got to our location in about an hour and a half when he arrived he took the bad tires off of the van and loaded them into his jeep and took them to Discount Tires and had two new tires put onto our wheels and brought them back to us at the rest stopped and slapped those puppies on the van and got us back on the road. Riggs Roadside Assistance didn't charge us for the 75 miles and only charged us for the two brand new tires, service charge for doing the job and for the 40 miles for travel. read more

I would highly recommend Riggs Roadside to everyone and anyone they're a great group of guys. I've been here in San Diego, California for business leaving my wife and daughter back in Fort Mill, South Carolina. I received a call from my daughter letting me know that she hit something on the interstate and blew the tire on her Explorer. I've called around to different companies around Charlotte and Rock Hill they were not wanting or not willing to help. I called Riggs Roadside Assistance and spoke with the Rod whom was very helpful. It was amazing that they were able to help even though I was all the way across the county and they emailed me an invoice so I can pay them right then and there. I informed him that my daughter didn't have a spare tire due to my own fault. To my surprise he said no problem that he worked with the local Tire Shops in the area. He went down and picked up the rim and took it to his vendor and got a new tire mount and balanced on to the rim and brought it back to my daughter and put the tire back on to the truck. I got a flat tire on I-77 after running something over, I waited for almost 3 hours for my insurance to send someone out and began to grow panicked since there was a lot of traffic due to the construction having a lane closed and it was getting dark. I called Riggs and explained I needed help and didnt think my insurance was going to actually send someone, the Dispatcher was polite and patient with me for not knowing exactly where I was located or if I had locked lug nuts. I was able to send texts of my coordinates and blown tire showing my lug nuts. The gentleman named Rod that came to help was extremely professional, in a marked company truck with all the lights needed to work in the dark, in uniform and a reflective vest, was kind and showed concern for my safety since we were in a busy location. He came to me in under the time the woman had said he would, got my tire off, explained what had happened and put my spare on quickly. I really made a fool of myself this morning before leaving for work. I went out to start my SUV and found that the battery was dead so I went back in the house leaving my keys in the vehicle. I called Riggs Roadside for some help and Rod was very friendly and empathize with my situation. After getting off of the phone with him I went out to my SUV to find out that I locked my keys in the SUV. I called a few other companies to compare prices and they told me that they'd charge me to jump my battery and a separate charge to get my keys. When Rod arrived he "popped" my lock to gain entry and then popped my hood and got my SUV started with no extra charge. I would highly recommend Riggs Roadside Assistance to anyone. I was very impressed with Riggs Roadside I called them because I had locked my keys in my vehicle because I had to run back into the office to grab some needed paperwork.
