From the day she came in, to the present day, her turn around has been outstanding!! She came in weighing 89 lbs, lethargic, bed ridden, had to be fed and was anti social. In 3 months, she has increased her weight by 10 lbs, eating by herself, does social activities, and is happy and has gotten a second chance at life. From the doctors, nurses, social worker, CNA's and other medical care personnel this facilities has been A+. All personnel is loving, caring and very professional. Couldn't be be happier with her care. Thank you and God bless everyone at Ponce Plaza. Congratulations Ponce Plaza for another 5 Star rating!!! The love and dedication each staff member has for the residents (and our loved ones) is beyond professional. Thank you for all that you do!!! Ponce is just the best place in Miami!! I've attached photos of the 5 star review form the State, Halloween Phots and Thanksgiving Dinner for 2017! The love and care you give your residents and families is so very much appreciated!! Thank you!

Our family's experience with AccentCare Hospice in Miami was deeply distressing and, in our view,…read moreunacceptable. The last few weeks of my brother's life were made far worse by their inadequate and ineffective assistance. During intake, we were led to believe our loved one could continue receiving treatment, hydration, and medications necessary for comfort and quality of life while at home. However, shortly after enrollment, key elements of his care were discontinued, including hydration and nutritional support that were critical to his condition. While he was being managed by home hospice, equipment and care coordination were inconsistent and poorly managed. Our son was promised modern TPN equipment which would be battery powered, allowing him to continue minor activities inside and outside the home. However, the TPN equipment provided was incorrect and antiquated, preventing him from participating in his young children's pastimes during his final days at home. Equipment was continuously delayed, nurses were unfamiliar with the machines, and we were left searching for tutorials and outside help to operate critical equipment. Communication barriers also created serious challenges, as many caregivers could not effectively communicate in English. Pain management and safety concerns further compounded the situation. We were told a pain pump could be self-administered, but the device arrived late and without necessary components. When he became too sedated from medication to move safely, our concerns were dismissed. One night, he fell while attempting to get out of bed; the monitoring equipment had failed due to dead batteries, and we do not know how long he was on the floor. Although administration later apologized and provided overnight coverage, the damage was done. Instead of providing comfort and dignity during his final weeks, the experience created stress and fear for our family. Families facing end-of-life care deserve compassionate, competent, and coordinated support. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of that standard.

I cannot speak highly enough about Granny Nannies. When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's…read moreand needed in-home assistance, I did my homework. Granny Nannies was the first company that offered everything we were looking for--and they exceeded all expectations. From the start, the administrative team--including my case manager and the owners, Melvin and Meghan--were consistently responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in my mother's care. My mother shares her home with her 93-year-old partner, who also has dementia, and Granny Nannies understood the complexity of caring for both of them. Our primary caregiver, Marie A., was truly exceptional. With over 20 years of experience, she brought not only professionalism but deep compassion and warmth to her work every single day. Marie cared for all of their needs--providing physical and emotional support, managing doctor appointments, coordinating care, and keeping the household running smoothly. Her presence brought peace of mind to our whole family. She supported them through a wide range of challenges, including a broken hip, anxiety, depression, and the daily realities of dementia. Marie consistently went above and beyond in every way, and we are endlessly grateful for her dedication. We were also fortunate to have Anna G. assist Marie at times. Anna is sweet, warm, and caring--her gentle presence brought additional comfort and kindness to the home. She and Marie worked together beautifully to provide consistent, high-quality care. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such a remarkable team by our side during such a difficult and emotional time. I wholeheartedly recommend Granny Nannies to anyone seeking compassionate, professional, and truly outstanding care for their loved ones.

Annabel is a very caring professional. She exudes happiness and helped to cheer me up which, I think, helped me to heal. Always helping me with my needs even in the middle of the night and with a smile on her face. I also had a wonderful experience with Thaura Abdalia for several months. Thaura, also very professional and helpful and she is a gentle soul. Always willing to do whatever I asked to be helpful to me. Easy to talk to and my little dog picked up her good vibes and like to hang out by her, she'd get excited to see her when she arrived. I only saw Elizabeth Cruz for three days but I liked her immediately. Also very professional, and couldn't do enough to make sure my every need was taken care of. I would recommend any of these ladies, they would not disappoint. Granniesnannies apparently hires only the best. The company itself needs a little revamping of organizational skills and better technology to track things. This is the reason I gave only 4 stars. The caretakers would get 5 stars.

Those large rents probably subsidize the ridiculous "parties" they have, where lots of freeloaders show up to eat. Those large rents may also help pay for their nightly happy hour, where the residents gather and make believe they are having a good time. Let's not forget the 2 hours it takes for dinner because most nights they are short staffed. Here's a tip, don't ever order the chicken, it's always overcooked and dried out. To sum up, the palace is a gaudy, ostentatious nursing home that rents to anyone no matter what their condition just to fill their apartments. Caveat Emptor. At the palace it's all about the benjamins!
