We are very happy with our trash service. We had an incident recently, where the trash didn't come. So we waited till the next day and it got to be about 3 PM and so I decided to call them. The person who answered the phone was able to look it up and they found out that two days prior they had two trash trucks breakdown, and that they were all one day behind and their pick ups. She stated that it would be picked up by the end of the day, which is 6 PM for them and indeed it was.! They are very reliable.! I would highly recommend them. read more

If you have some bulk pickup to dispose of, you're better off just either doing it yourself or working something out with either a friend or anyone else willing to assist you. Because these people will definitely not help you. I've contacted them several times (if you are even able to get through in the first place), and they still did not pick up my bulk trash as requested. This is not the first time this has happened (and I see this is a common occurrence among their customers). They're either too lazy or incompetent to do a simple job as this, which does not take much effort to do in the first place. Or even worse, they know they have a monopoly on the garbage collection services in the area, so they don't care one way or another, because we as customers don't have a choice. RAD disposal, now owned by Waste Connections seems to have a GREAT scam going...IF you are paying for recycling, make sure to be there when they come and collect your regular trash...in that truck the recycling goes! And then call them and complain...well now it has been two weeks they have not picked up my recycling can AND keep leaving one of my regular trash cans un-dumped...so am I being punished for finding them at their scam??? Try it yourself...be there when the truck comes and watch your recycling go right into the regular trash truck! read more

Rudest garbage company I've ever experienced. They started calling me three weeks before my bill was due demanding payment. Then they emailed me and THEN mailed me. I first thought I was late w my payment and when I called to ask, they told me no, it was due the end of December. I was late on my bill one time about 3 years ago. If I could give a half star I would. Been signed up for only 2 weeks and my recycling bin has never been emptied. Trash - no problem always picked up. Recycle not once. Made 6 calls and an email asking WTF. Been told to expect pick up by 6pm Friday. No show and of course the offices are closed TIL Monday. Monday morning I call and am told the driver will not pick up recycling because of nearby road construction. Our whole subdivision is under construction. Asked for the route supervisor, told he's not in. Asked to have him call me. Still waiting. I will not drag my cans 100 feet to an intersection and leave them in front of someone else's home. I paid for the service, WTF RAD? Can we get another disposal firm for this area? After all that, a recycling truck appears on my street and accepts the waste. YaHoo. Called my dumpster company, Premier Waste, to bring a 40 yard dumpster to my job site. Right Away disposal who is now owned by Waste Connections in Texas, brought the dumpster. After they picked up the dumpster they billed me $1600.00 saying that the dumpster was 7 tons over the limit. The contents was regular construction waste and only half full. After disputing the charge, I asked for, but never received, the weight ticket. Then they billed my credit card which I never gave them. It is beyond me how they got my credit card number. I never agreed to any of this nor did I sign anything. Go head and use this company if you want to get ripped off. read more

We had a large backyard wedding for 200 guests 11/23/2019. We ordered the "VIP Solar Units" advised Lisa-that we would have 200 guests and ordered 4 units, due to the length of the units we revised the order to 3. Upon delivery, one of the units did not work. The delivery driver had to return to their yard and bring a new battery. I entered the units to "spruce" up the units with flowers add paper, etc. the units were not as clean as they should have been. The photos sent in brochure are completely deceiving. You cannot get dressed in there.. I had to wipe down the units. The event started at 4 pm. Guests did not utilize the facilities until 4:30. By 7 pm the water was out! We basically had j-jons Guests had to use my indoor facilities. Which is exactly what we did not want or anticipate! I sent an email advising of all of the above. I didn't receive a response until after they had inspected the facilities. I was told they did not work due to "over use" and we were given a refund of the delivery fee. Do not use this company. They are a large company and probably don't care if they receive any negative reviews from their residential customers and it showed. read more

Been with (RAD) Right Away Disposal for years in Tucson and they used to be fairly dependable but have really gotten awful with super long wait times on the phone for customer service and rarely answer emails if at all. They were recently bought by a big #3 waste company named Waste Connections and I guess they just don't give a darn about loyal customers any longer. They do quarterly billing and the bill just came that was 110% increase from previous bill with no changes of service requested by us at all. On the previous quarter billing they had a extra page attached that said great changes coming with a upgrade and boy what a doozy. We didn't realize a software upgrade equated to doubling or more of ones bill. 110% increase is insane. We called to price a few local similar services since they are out of Phoenix and a customer service rep stated they were getting hundreds of calls from customers like us looking to end their service with Right Away Disposal or should I say A WASTE CONNECTIONS COMPANY. And the quotes I got today are actually more in line with our old rate before RAD lost their minds. So if you are a current RAD-Right away disposal customer you are in for sticker shock from this bunch, not to mention their trucks always blowing hydraulic hoses from lack of preventative maintenance and puking nasty fluid in front of your home that stains the pavement for life. Right Away Disposal sure does Dispose of your money right away. Will be glad to be rid of these highway Robbery experts and will never ever recommend them or their parent company Waste Connections from California again to friends and family. read more

So, this "company" has had a big ass commercial dumpster parked in the street in front of MY house when it belongs to the house next door, which is being flipped. I know they need a permit to park this dumpster on the city street, they have NO permit and when I call there, like previous commenters noted, you are on HOLD for EVER. Then when somoene who speaks Spanglish answers, they know nuting. Pass the buck, no supervisor available, a permit? what's a permit? EFF this company, they SUCK. Expensive for minimal service. Our entire side of the street was missed. No place to put our trash, no response when you reach out. A few weeks prior they came down too hard and snapped our wheels off and just told us to deal with it until next week. As a disabled combat veteran, dragging my wheel-less trash can is a no go. If anyone finds a new service, please let us know somehow, I'm in the market, as I know others are. Right Away was awesome when I started with them 10 years ago, but their prices are outrageous, especially if you consider that southern California residents are paying $20 less in a state where the gas prices are more than 50 cents higher, properties and wages are higher. It's ridiculous to charge us $20 more; cost of living is much higher in California. Arizona is a right to work state, which means business owner's can pay whatever they want. (I think they still have to honor minimum wage, but I'm not sure.) My point being, if it cost less to own a business in Arizona, the customers should be charged less than California, especially when it comes to a necessary service. I am a senior on a small fixed income and can't work, so this really hurts. I know there are quite a number of seniors in the Apache Junction-Mesa area. I feel their pain. They keep sending me a bill when I have not lived in that house for a year and four months. I have told them that, proved it and I'm still getting the bill. They are now saying if it's not paid it will go to collections. Um what? Anything I have sent them has just been ignored. I cancelled my account when I was no longer there and since I advanced paid on my account I should be getting a refund for months not used. Why aren't they sending the bill to the people who are living there, using your services and if they don't want to pay take away their bins. read more

RAD purchased my trash company and I had nothing but problems with them. Once purchased they changed my account number but kept cashing my checks. It took several months for them to figure out what was going on so my hobby was calling accounting every month. Then my cans disappear... I called again.. .turns out they raised the prices on the trash service AND started charging for recycling pickup but never bothered to let me know. RAD may be okay for new service, but the method they use to absorb an existing company is terrible. I would recommend avoiding this company. This worked out in my favor because now I am paying less through Waste Management, go figure... read more

Wish I could leave a zero star. This used to be a local company (why we signed up with them). All the sudden, they sold to a big company and raised the rate from $42 a quarter to $54 a quarter. The reason they gave was that the price of fuel went up. 6 months later, we got a bill for $90 a quarter (even though fuel costs had dropped significantly) which produced a rash of conversation on NextDoor. Through that conversation, we discovered their charges were all over the place. So I decided to look for a small local business that was honest and charged all it's customers the same. I am now using Hughes Sanitation. I had to nag RAD for a month to come pick up their containers. And before they finally did, they had the gall to charge me a pick up fee. When I originally signed up with them, there was no such fee. But they do whatever they want, adding to their website so they can claim it's clearly stated on their website. read more

Customer service is not good, one may wait up to an hour on hold. To make matters worse there is a $30.00 dollar charge to pick up the cans. Called Waste Management. Fees much less... 2/11/19 update : after ten months of continual problems with this company, I haven't had yet one month where my billing wasn't messed up, where my trash got picked up every time as it was supposed to, without just drama. What a hot mess of a business. Most recent thing to waste my precious time is a HUGE price hike for my quarterly service from $51/quarter to $75/quarter. No notice. No invoice to be questioned in advance of billing. Just no nothing. Just my card being charged and a receipt for payment with ZERO details whatsoever. With a price hike like that I may as well switch to waste management and have reliable, decent customer service and not have my time wasted by such a literal trash company, with absolutely zero business ethics. UPDATE: After all the drama of basically begging the company to contact me so that I could establish service, I came home for the 4th time in 3 months to a full recycling bin. Our family likes to do our part to reduce, reuse and recycle, so there will not be enough room in the bin for a second week of recycling. Haven't heard back from an email to customer service. Why am I paying for a service I can't hDisappointing to learn that the new neighborhood I'm moving to uses this company, however I requested an email to set up service since there's no DIY option online, and have been waiting for the email back since I think Tuesday, but possibly Wednesday. This company took over for AZ Sanitation. They did not notify me of the change and I continued to make payments to AZ Sanitation; the company I had contracted with since November 2015. I got a late notice invoice from this RAD company and I had no way of knowing who they were or why they were sending me a late notice, by email. Anyone can send an invoice/bill via email. I did not know that they had taken over the AZ Sanitation accounts? I had been making payments to AZ Sanitation and had recently made a payment in October. Still, I got a late notice and charge and threat to cancel and go to collections. I got on the phone and waited 40 minutes and then my call was dropped. I called back again later in the day and at this point, I am still waiting after 30 minutes to speak with someone about this invoice I received. I do not recommend this company. I would try to get out of this contract (which I did not sign on with, I signed on with AZ Sanitation) but they are going to charge me $120.00 to do so. I can either not pay the late fee and go to collection or cancel my service with the company and pay through the nose. I doubt I will ever get through to them. I tried to go online (as suggested on the tape running on hold) and my account was not recognized so I could not even pay in that manner. The call just got dropped again while I was writing this review and had been on hold for 40 minutes. This is the second time this has happened. read more

ATTN!!!!! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE We have been a customer for at least 10 years for our commercial business. Initially our service provider was dragon disposal, they were so awesome. The same driver every week would come, he got out of his truck each time and pulled the can to where he could reach, he would dump and place it back where it belongs. He even had a key for when we were not here. Trash pick up was never missed Some how over the years the company has changed hands. We now deal with RAD or waste connections of Arizona or whoever they are. All the name changes should have been a clear indicator that we should start weighing other options. These new people expect a young woman to run outside and push a heavy dumpster from a parking lot that slopes, on to the main street lined up with the truck so they can dump and go. Then he watches why I struggle to push the can back. If he beeps and does not see me they drive right past. It's really bad They do not give 2 shits about long time loyal customers who were tricked in to using their services. The quality of service both out in the field and over the phone with customer support has severely decreased. They should be embarrassed of who they picked to represent the company. Probably the same person who I have been waiting to call me back and has yet to. Nobody responds to emails, you are left waiting for long periods of time on hold and then when you do finally get someone on the line (a guy named Geno) they are absolutely no help. He was rude, sarcastic and could not properly do his job. He did not care to answer why my bill has increased over 25% in one month with out any notice being given. His response was that it says price subject to increase without notice. I read the invoice and also asked him to point out to me where it says that and it took him minutes to even respond saying he was still looking shouldn't he know this? Horrible service and very rude. I paid in full my start up fees over a week ago and still do not have trash and or recycling CANS. both times they said they would be dropped off, they never were and when I call they are not helpful or nice. The only time they give you is "between 6 am and 6pm" since my current home is far away i waited all day at my new house so I would not get fined for having garbage cans left on the street after drop off as i am a nurse and have to work the next two days. I only clicked 1 star because you have to pick to get to comment I was on hold for 30 minutes to get info on why my bill went up 17 dollars and was told that they will lower it if I give them bank account access so they can help there self each month. I was told that gas went up and that also made it increase BUT gas prices did not go up before my bill was sent. I asked if it would go down if gas goes down and they said no. I placed my payment on Tuesday and since it takes two days to process they still took my trash cans and now won't give them back unless I pay 280$ two days before Christmas! I have five kids it's been hard lately yes I was late paying but it isn't my fault that it takes them two days to process a payment! Unreliable service. Have had them for over a year and have had to call quite often because the recycling was not picked up. The trash for some reason always gets picked up. No problems there. However, Just got a bill for one heck of a rate hike. No notice, no explanation. I will say that they bill for the coming quarter so at least it gives me enough time to get rid of the recycling while I shop around for another service. I don't recommend this company at all. Update: Called them to cancel the recycling. 44 callers ahead of me. Spent 33 minutes and 37 seconds on the line. The last automated announcement I heard was I was caller number 3. Finally clicked over. I heard voices and then my call was ended. There is no way to do this on their website so I'm on the phone again with 42 callers ahead of me. Two weeks without trash pick up - finally I called and waited 45 minutes to speak to somebody who said that the day of the week had been changed. Just got my bill Saturday. Price has gone up 39%. ALL AT ONE TIME! I'm looking for a better resolution. At a minimum, I will no longer pay to have my recycling picked up. That will save me $84 a year. read more

Frustrating. My bill has gone up 70% in the last year. 118% over the past 2 years. That is obnoxious by any standard. I called and they recommended I go paperless and save the $5.85 administration fee. Ironic, because the reason I had to switch back to paper bill was so they would stop slipping price increases by me unnoticed!
