I was that 1st time mama dreading starting daycare. I had heard horror stories of other facilities and just didn't know what to expect. This place and the staff are the exception! From the first call to the first tour, I felt at home. I've never felt as if they were putting on a show. They are consistent in their care and character. I now walk in there with such a peace knowing my son is being loved and well cared for when I'm away. I love that they don't have lots of turnover with their staff. There is consistency with the faces which helps not only the students, but the parents as well. It also says so much about the owners! I truly think we underestimate the value of quality care and what that looks like. It looks like your child running up to his/her teacher every morning for a hug. We know hugs are very personal and trust must be established. It really says so much about the teachers who establish this trust with their students. It also looks like watching your babe through the window and seeing the teachers sow seeds of character that will last. It looks like your kiddo coming home and doing things you may have never taught them, like sign language, blowing kisses, cleaning up toys and recognizing colors and shapes. It looks like your child being greeted by their name as soon as they walk in the door. They truly care about their students and this is a reflection of that. In addition, they feed them healthy foods which helps me at home incorporate more into his diet with less fuss. KinderCare Deer Park was the last daycare I had on my list to visit and I wish it would've been first on my list! They are the absolute best and I am forever grateful for Ms. Maria and the rest of the staff! The attention and care that is given to my daughter is well above my expectations. My daughter wakes up every morning ready to go to KinderCare and she stays happy at drop off and at pick up right when we drive away from the center she tells me again "I go back to school" this makes me happy because I know she feels comfortable. I'm a little late writing this review but I feel as a parent this is my responsibility to share my…read moreexperience with other new parents that have to make the decision to place their child in daycare. My review and experience is based on the infant room only. I had multiple bad experiences in the infant room with two of the caregivers in particular. I gave instructions on how to feed my 4 month old baby at that time that was not followed. Also on one occasion my baby had a blow out and her soiled clothes was placed in her bottle cooler without being placed in a separate plastic bag. I still gave the daycare a chance because I realize no daycare is perfect. The last straw is when I was picking up my baby and she was isolated from the other infants and caregivers on the opposite side of the room. I was extremely upset. I asked the caregivers how come she was isolated and I was told because her bouncer was there, which makes no sense considering the bouncer was not nailed to the ground. I spoke to the owner the next morning and she appeared to be very attentive and receptive to my concerns. The caregivers had already spoke to her prior to the next morning, which is most likely because they knew I was going to report them. They told the owner the reason my daughter was in the corner away from everyone is because they didn't want the other babies (that are the same age as her) to hurt her and I get mad. This was absurd because I never said anything about my baby being hurt by other babies in the "infant" room. This was very unacceptable and was a form of child neglect. The supervisor said she would talk to the caregivers. That same week there was no change in their behavior, they never spoke when I picked up my baby, they would just hand me my baby and say nothing for the most. They wouldn't verbally tell me how my daughters day was even after the discussion I had with the owner. Never once did the owner try to rectify the situation by giving me a update or a corrective action plan, which let me know she didn't really care as well. I sent the owner a email explaining why I was removing my daughter from the daycare and I never received a response.I removed my baby from Happy Times within a week of this occurrence. My baby now goes to Principrin and she is so loved and taken care of, and I don't have worry in the world when I drop her off. This was my experience with Happy Times Academy, it was a horrible experience. No parent wants to feel an uneasy feeling when they trust caregivers to care for their children. And I realize that perhaps every caregiver may not care personally for a parent but a professional demeanor should always be maintained, especially when taking care of children.

However, after there was a change in ownership, HTA has improved so much! From the remodeling of the rooms and cleanliness to the live updates on the app and improved monthly newsletters. I love all of the improvements that have been made. Before the new management, I did not like the unpleasant smell that the daycare sometimes had. Now, the daycare always smells and feels very clean. Although I never had a problem with the previous owner/management, I can see that the new management is more caring about the children and about parents concerns. The teachers have all been awesome. My daughter is happy to go to daycare everyday and that gives me a sense of security and tranquility. She is 20 months now and she has been knowing most children lullabies/songs, how to count to 6 in Spanish and English (she gets a little mixed up from 6-10), can sing the ABC's, says please & thank you, just to name a few things. We practice most of these things at home but being that she's at daycare most of the day, I have to thank her teachers for that. This month will be the first month that there will be holiday events/festivals since the previous ownership and we are super excited to see what everything is going to be like.

I had my 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son attending there for six months. They claimed they would have my daughter do her homework there before she was allowed to play. She merely told them she forgot her homework for nearly everyday whilst it was sitting in her backpack and apparently that was good enough. They let her just play everyday during her time in their after school program and didn't even care to discuss with us that she NEVER had her homework. She was helped with no homework and taught nothing. We pulled her out so we would enough time to do her homework with her cause they wouldn't. Then we have my 3 year old son whom was downgraded to half days because they couldn't manage to get him under control. Their idea of a time out is apparently having the child follow a teacher around till they miraculously act right. I guess no one told them a time out was a deprivation of stimulation and not a teacher student one on one field trip. Repeated one on one attention for a misbehaving child is rewarding their behavior with additional attention and reinforcing the behavior rather than removing stimuli to allow the child to reflect and self correct. Moreover, changing him to half days as an answer to the behavior THEY reinforced was only further reward to reinforce his misbehaviour. Not to mention half days are still FULL price. During my last conversation with them Felicia suggested the pharmaceutical intervention in the form of a compound consisting of four different amphetamines by the name of adderall as a step in the right direction for my 3 year old son whom they failed miserably at even watching during the day let alone teaching him anything. However, I'm compelled and daunted with the task of having to leave this review in hopes of preventing this from happening to other trusting parents and guardians. It is not my intent to damage or destroy Hope's Academy & Childcare. However, this is my attempt to shine the light on & bring attention to one rotten apple in the disguise of a childcare provider, employed at Hope's Academy by the name of Kimberley Hall. Ms. Hall was in-trusted with the care of my niece, who recently just started attending Hope's Academy. What seemed to be a saving grace for my little sister, the mother of my niece (who is also a single parent) quickly transpired into a nightmare. Ms. Hall approached my sister with an unbelievable offer for her 8 year old daughter to attend Hope's Academy's summer program. The offer was such a great deal that my sister did not hesitate to jump on. For $75 a week my niece was able to attend Hope's Academy 5 days a week. On June 9, 2023 my sister was contacted by Ms. Hall in the early morning hours to inform her that the building was having power outages and the facility would be closed for business. When my sister asked for a refund for that day due to Hope's Academy not rendering service that had been paid for. Ms. Hall told my sister that she would not be getting her money back and would have to find her own daycare service/provider for that day! By the way Ms. Hall had set up the payment arrangements to be made directly to her personal cash app.. The following week (my nieces 3rd week attending) my sister paid $75 via cash app to Ms. Hall's personal account on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Due to personal reasons my niece would no longer be attending Hope's Academy. This information was made available to Ms. Hall by my sister that Sunday, June 18, 2023, the day after payment was made and received by Ms. Hall and the day before the start of the new childcare week. When my sister asked for a refund of the $75 the very next day on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Ms. Hall did not respond until the following day, Monday, June 19, 2023 and stated that she had a family emergency and wouldn't be able to refund my sister until that Friday, on June 23, 2023. When my sister insisted that she needed her refund immediately and would make contact with the facility's director in hopes of settling the matter. Ms. Hall was deceitful stating that she was the director of Hope's Academy & Childcare, leaving my sister to believe that she had no other options. As of today,June 23, 2023, Ms. Hall has not returned/refunded my sister's $75 nor did my niece attend one day out the week. After reaching out directly to the facility, is how we learned that Ms. Hall is not the director of Hope's Academy & Childcare located 16233 Clay road. Suite 300, Houston, TX 77084. In fact the very helpful person that we spoke with on the phone informed us that the facility doesn't allow the workers to personally accept childcare payments and the Academy accepts Zelle not cash app. Also, is was disturbingly alarming to learn that my niece wasn't in their system as an attendee, the cost per week is $150 not $75, which led us to believe that she had my niece most likely attending under her family discount (at no coast) or at a low discounted rate. Nonetheless, there is obviously a loophole within the company to where Ms. Hall has constructed a way to take advantage of the company as well as the parents and guardians of the children attending. This type of person should not be working around children or giving the important responsibility of participating in teaching and caring for our innocent children. A person that is intentionally deceitful and a thief should not be employed at Hope's Academy & Childcare. How was this possible?

Long story short, the owner Ann Ezumah took her sweet time to half ass respond to my serious concerns as a parent because she was away on vacation. After providing me footage of how it actually occurred it was addressed with no urgency she also never met with me in person only over message and email. What owner do you know does that? Honestly. Fast forward: Now that school has begun only 2 of my children remained there as the older one started Kindergarten. They tried to be slick and continue checking in/out my oldest son to make NCI claims. Fraud. They are a money hungry establishment with more "chill and fun" days that require parents to fund them money for said activities rather than more educational days. Every other week there was something they needed money for at the last minute too which explained their disorganization and lack of care for their students and families that keep their business running. Today they messaged me (yes messaged me) that my three year old son could no longer attend due to "behavior" and even went on to use the words "physical assault" on teachers which is almost hilarious because a 3 year old physically assaulting someone just sounds so ridiculous. Ann, the owner couldn't even be professional as the face and representative of her business to meet with me in person for this matter. Also there is NEVER an accredited director or at least assistant director to bring the students in during arrival. Only teachers and their cook, sounds worrisome huh? I will be reporting them to the state of Texas and NCI in effort to possibly help their establishment turn their unprofessionalism around! So I'm probably doing them the greatest favor and the owner probably just needs some help. Each teacher at Twinkle Wonder School is not only highly qualified but also genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of their students. They are attentive, nurturing, and skilled at creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning. The school itself is well-maintained, with plenty of resources to support a variety of educational activities. Unfortunately when their AC system went out for a couple of days, they did notify us and even told us to pick up our babies before 5pm, so it would not be too hot for them. They are constantly updating us and ensuring us their safety through the brightwheel app. Their support and assistance cannot be greatly appreciated enough! Be kind to everyone and especially child care workers
