I was told it would be a lennox unit and it was a goodman which is inferior. It was supposed to be a 2 stage unit and it was a single stage. I was charged for alterations (which there were none) and Service Max ended up charging over $700 per man hours. I was also lied to about energy rebates and they refuse to fill out form for rebate because they are not qualified as approved contractors for rebate. They could be approved within a day if they are reputable contractors but they said it would take months which is a lie as I spoke directly with the person that handles the energy program so I can only wonder why they don't apply?

After an initial diagnosis by Mike (the owner I later learned) determined the issue could be the thermostat. A quote for a replacement was sent the next morning, and scheduled for the next day. When I received the quote, along with it was a story about the company itself. Devon came out to install the thermostat and had it done quickly. I went with a WiFi until and after connecting it to the home network had some more issues. They were back out the next day and after a few hours of troubleshooting between Devon and Mike found there was a simple wiring issue in the crawl space. A few things that set this company apart for me. They are local and a family business, came the next day, met their promises of when they would arrive, checked with me to make sure it was okay to wait for the install and subsequent repairs, and were super friendly and kept me informed. They will be my first call when I have any other needs and will schedule regular maintenance with them next year. If you have any HVAC needs I highly recommend Stilly River Mechanical.

They were able to find an AC compressor and replace it for my Mother-in-law during the 100 degree heat last Summer. They went above and beyond on that job. We had another issue where the gas line to a pool was leaking which caused the gas to be shut off to our entire house. Initial installers did not put in a shut of valve. At about 3:00 pm we called Meyers. The owner responded and disconnected the pool supply. Another Meyer employee returned with the need part to plug the meter where the pool supply had been disconnected. He then re-lit the water heaters. We were back in business by 4:30 pm. We got our heat pump replaced and decided to get all of our duct work cleaned. We hadn't cleaned…read morethe ducts since we bought the house about 6 years previously. The ducts were so dirty. They took out about 8 gallons of debris from the ducts. It was gross. The technicians even replaced our filter under the house for us. It was only 4 days old and it was so dirty. There is a huge difference in the air quality in our house since getting the ducts cleaned. The technicians that came out were very friendly and helpful even though the weather was poor and we had other work being done on our house. We were told that as long as we maintain filter changes on our air handler regularly then we won't need to do this again for about 7 years. I really appreciated how quickly they were able to get us in.
