I have been going here for a couple of years and came back in for a dental cleaning. Not py do they gove superb service, the staff are genuinely friendly and professional. My dental hygienist was precise and gentle. Dentist was also knowledgeable and open to questions and was able to recommend products and brushing style to take care of my teeth. They are pretty busy given the number of clients that they have but not once did I feel, that the service was rushed, dental hygienist meticulously took her time and she did a great job! Booking an appointment was easy and convenient. I did have to point out though that I tried to book an appointment through their yelp website and they said they may have probably missed it, but it was okay as I was able to give them a quick call and they arranged it all for me and was able to squeeze me in. The clinic is clean and neat, there is also ample parking. And not did I only left feeling clean and great but I was also able to bring home some goodies!

I came here to get my teeth whitened before my engagement photos and my wedding…read more I previously had my teeth whitened two years prior at a different place in Sacramento, but the dental assistant at that other place had struggled with using this flimsy "lip condom" and she got the caustic whitening material on my lips, which caused them to swell up very badly. I didn't have that problem at Brentwood Family Dental because they use more rigid plastic to protect your lips - thank goodness! The hygienist who worked on my teeth here did a great job putting the barrier on my gums to protect them from the whitening chemical. I didn't feel any stinging whatsoever. Each round of whitening included the teeth brightening paste, then some sort of light to activate it for 15 minutes. She mentioned that it makes some people's teeth feel painful or sensitive, but it wasn't so bad for me. I think the hardest part was that I was getting bored of sitting still for so long by the end of it. But oh my gosh it was worth it!! My teeth looked incredible - I had never seen them so bright in my entire life! The hygienist/ dentist made sure that I understood the "white diet" before I left, so that I didn't accidentally stain my teeth while the pores were open. It was a bit of a challenge to only eat clear or white foods and trying to avoid things that were sweet/acidic as well, but that was an important step to preserve the results. She also took a mold of my teeth so she could send me home with an at-home whitening touch-up kit for right before my wedding. I am very happy with the service and quality I experienced here and looking forward to coming back when I need teeth brightening again in the future!

They were so kind and calming during my visit. Dr. Leong made sure I was comfortable and pain free during the procedure and even called me the next day to check in. I was so impressed with their family like atmosphere and friendliness of the staff, I made the switch to them as my permanent dentist office. I'd highly recommend them. They are efficient, kind and experienced (and were taking on new patients at the time I visited.) Convenient location on Lone Tree with plenty of parking. My temps had fallen off soon after leaving the office and they said it was my fault for eating hard food. It fell off while I was talking, not eating! My teeth were not cleaned thoroughly (told to me by my endodontist after doing Xrays with him) right after Dr. Reyes had cleaned my teeth here. These 2 dentists are just awful and after seeing them for several years (due to convenience and close proximity to my home), I've had enough and decided to find a new dentist Theres just so many things wrong with these guys, so avoid at all cost! I've recently moved to Brentwood and faced the challenge of finding a new dentist, which was…read moredifficult because I absolutely loved my old dentist in Sacramento! I came to Brentwood Family Dental because they have evening hours, which is very convenient for working professionals. So far I have had x-rays, a cleaning, and two separate filling appointments (each appointment was for multiple fillings in a a different side of the mouth). The decor here is incredible and perplexing - the carpet has a textured swirl pattern and the glass doors/walls use varying levels of thickness to create a design. I could spend hours touching the floor or the walls, getting lost in the patterns. I felt almost sad that my appointments are always on time because I don't have enough time to fully appreciate the aesthetics! But it's probably a good thing for everyone else that this place sticks to their schedules so well. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Reception was making my sides burst telling me all these different dentist-related jokes and it was honestly such a good introduction into the office. The dental technicians / hygienists asked questions about me and made sure I was well-informed as well as comfortable during all of the procedures. The dentist had me fill out a survey about my anxiety / fear level towards dental work and the first thing they did was talk through any concerns I might have and try to alleviate any consternation by giving me some reassurance. I have a double bite (my jaw has a natural defect where it can hinge forward or backwards depending on how I bite down) so one of the fillings they did was hitting incorrectly after the anesthesia wore off. It was very painful for a couple weeks, but they had me come back two times to bite down on the carbon contact paper and readjust the filling by grinding it down. They did not charge me extra and they were very concerned with making sure I had a good result that was comfortable. I was definitely frustrated by the pain, but I appreciated their level of effort in making sure it was resolved properly. They were able to fix that issue quickly, which was great because I was going out of town for my wedding and I absolutely didn't want to have jaw/tooth pain for that! Overall I've been very satisfied and will be coming back for future cleanings and dental work.

AVOID this place!!! THREE times there were billing…read morediscrepancies. Once with my son, once with my wife and a BIG one with me. I had an extraction and some fillings in January 2024. I was told my copay was $329.60. I agreed. SIX MONTHS LATER they have the audacity to bill me for another $691.40, claiming when I agreed to the amount in January it was only an "estimate", even though they suggested a bone graft and contacted my insurance company again to see if would be covered. Insurance said no, and DBDG told me it would be $2000 for the graft, so I declined. Tane Rontal pulled the tooth and I swear it was the first time she had ever done one. Dr. Joseph was very good, but "Dr. Rontal" is not. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

I was scheduled for a routine cleaning and called TWO WEEKS in advance to inform them that my insurance was on pause and I would be paying out of pocket. I specifically asked for the exact amount I would owe at the visit. I was given a total, agreed to it, and came prepared to pay that amount. Once I was already seated in the chair, I was suddenly told there was an additional outstanding balance of $491 that I had never been informed about. I explained that I wasn't disputing the balance, but I wanted to let my husband know first since I'm under his insurance and was only prepared to pay the amount I was originally quoted--not almost $700. I also could not reach him at that moment. I was told the full amount was due immediately, so I said I would need to reschedule. As I was walking out, it was painfully obvious that the three receptionists were talking about me--when they noticed I saw them, they abruptly stopped and turned to their computers. That behavior was incredibly unprofessional. When I confronted them and explained that this entire situation could have been avoided had they been transparent when I called two weeks ago, I was then asked, "Do you want to pay half?" after I had already said I wanted to discuss it with my husband. When I declined, I was told there would be a $50 cancellation fee for today's visit. That was the final insult. To be clear, as soon as I got home, I called the office, spoke with the manager, and paid the outstanding balance in full. She explained that the receptionist I dealt with is in training, which is understandable. However, one of the other receptionists is just rude and never friendly. This very unfortunate since the Dentists, hygienist and assistants have always been amazing and I had never had a bad experience prior. The front office is the face of the business and in this case, they are negatively impacting it. Poor communication, gossiping about a patient in plain sight, and pressuring someone to pay hundreds of dollars without prior notice is unacceptable. I left feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and disrespected.
