I had my windshield replaced but learned it isn't Gerber that does this but is contracted out to…read moreGlass America. Scheduling was a terrible process. I filled out the instant quote and received a quote number. The quote response said someone should be calling me soon. After an hour I called them. After repeating all the info in the quote the scheduler I was talking to gave me a quote that was over $100 more than the website produced. When asking about it I was told it was because the website failed to get the correct windshield, even though I had provided year make model and trim. It also didn't include the moulding in the quote. I went ahead and scheduled service. On Monday when a I needed to verify the time the tech was to arrive, which was NOT in the time frame I was told by the scheduler, I couldn't reach anyone to confirm or figure out how to reach the tech. The schedulers were backed up and I hung up after waiting half an hour to talk to one. I tried the number option for service that was already scheduled but immediately went to a message that the office was closed but normal hours were 6:30am-8pm...I was calling at 10:30am. The tech did finally call and I was able to sort things out with him. Based on this experience I will never again use this company and it deserves a one star rating based on this aspect. Rich my windshield replacer arrived on time and was very professional, knew what he was doing, and completed the job in the expected time frame. He was very accommodating when I had a bit of a timing issue. Rich fished this experience with Glass America out of the garbage bin. If my rating were based solely on him it would be a 5 star rating. The scheduling however was so bad that I can not give better than a 2. Gerber Collision itself may be fantastic but their contracted glass service has some serious issues. Next time I will use Safelite.

Terrible experience with this company. I had a minor fender bender. Everyone that saw it thought…read morejust some minor paint transfer and part of the plastic bumper cut. After they took the bumper cover off they claimed there was a dent on the steel impact bar (which I still HIGHLY doubt based on the damage to the plastic bumper). Apparently there policy is to replace all associated damage which jumped my initial quote by $4,000. The kicker is, I never saw the dent (pictures didn't show anything) and have ZERO way of knowing they actually replaced the impact bar. Three weeks later (plastic bumper can be removed in 20 mins) they claimed the car was ready to pick up, after a final/careful inspection. Within 20 feet of approaching the vehicle, I could see they failed to reinstall the front camera washer nozzle. Something I specifically called them about to make sure they wouldn't forget it the first day they started work. For a company that, "per policy" can't do half work, they left a hole in the bumper where the nozzle goes and supposedly inspect the car. You can put your entire index finger in there! So tack on another 5 days to get the nozzle installed. One would assume another inspection. Now the windshield washer nozzles don't work. While installing the front camera nozzle, they pulled out the windshield nozzle line. Back to the shop for a couple more hours of work. This was a TERRIBLE experience and I will NEVER use them again. I don't care that they work with my insurance. And they use that too much. "Oh don't worry about the cost, it's covered by your insurance. You only have to worry about the deductible". Except everyone knows the higher that cost the higher the premium goes. Now the interesting part. Why am I writing this review on Yelp? Because they never sent the survey that all of the paperwork claimed. In the document packet they claim to send a survey out in 3-4 days and anything less than a 10 out of 10 is considered a failure on their part. Well a month later and I still don't have the survey. Is it just coincidence they knew I wasn't happy? Based on how I reacted to the giant hole in a "ready to go" vehicle, they knew they weren't getting anywhere close to a 10. Also I'm in Anderson. The location was because I used Apple to login.
