Classic local dive bar. Visited with my friend before doing an escape room down the street. Everyone who works here is so kind. The regular customers are conversational as well. We enjoyed our Modelos, then the bartender Leslie introduced us to their famous pickle shots which were SO good! I wish I could have taken home a whole jar. There's apparently karaoke on Fridays, which was promoted to us as we were hanging out. Someone came by selling burritos, too. You would never guess this was a cool spot just looking in from the outside. The entrances are inconspicuous once you park. I kinda love that because it feels like a hidden secret. Saying "F-- ICE" or criticizing Minnesota policies is not inappropriate behavior--it's protected speech and a statement of truth for many people. What is inappropriate is over serving guest and serving minors. Furthermore, it is disturbing is the double standard: staff members (including Traci) felt comfortable using racial slurs and loudly expressing their own opinions, yet took issue when others exercised the same right. There was no need for the owner to "clarify" their political views those were made obvious through staff behavior and how the situation was handled. Multiple patrons approached me and others afterward to thank me for speaking up and using our damn voices. I will absolutely be letting people know about my experience at Riley's. The way dissenting voices are treated here is unacceptable. Maybe 9 news would like to know! 35 years of experience? Haha Do better. -------------------------------- This establishment does not appear to support free expression. The only people who took issue were the owners and a bartender named Tracy. Their response made it clear they align with pro-ICE and pro-Trump views, which created an unwelcoming environment for anyone who doesn't share those beliefs. Well you can't get better entertainment than reading reviews on Yelp, quite the variety here and I find them all believable. I just wandered in because my car was being serviced next door at Audi, and it looked like an interesting dive/hole in the war bar. Mid afternoon on a weekday, the expected old guys sipping their beers at the bar, very friendly lady bartender took care of me and then I saw the shuffleboard table! Went to pick up my car at a nearby establishment and it wasn't ready. Decided to have a beer and kill time. After taking my order the bartender asked for my ID (I was born in 1965) telling me "I've never seen you in here before." She then held my ID under the counter, unsure what she was doing with it. Didn't feel comfortable amongst the locals and regulars in this bar. There are other places to spend my hard earned money at. read more

i have been to Riley's on a couple of occasions on Saturday night for karaoke i was very disappointed in the KJ Bones is a nice guy i sang 1 song after he played a couple of requests instead of starting the rotation again he would put new singers up that came in a rotation is a rotation i waited a hour but all he cared about were the people that came in if its karaoke night do karaoke be a professional and have consideration for people who want to sing he is a nice guy but have respect for singers that would like to sing that is why im here be a professional or get out of the business. read more

This place screams experience me! Where hipsters go to shower that badness off! These are real people looking for a friendly good time. Play with wooden sticks and balls on felted slate. Some of these reviews are more than five years old! Just stopped in the other day. Cute dive bar, incredibly affordable prices, large bottled beer selection, lots of flavored vodkas too! Two pool tables that are free play Sunday and Mondays and a shuffleboard deck! Patio to smoke and enjoy your drink. Looks like they have a spot for horseshoes out there in the summer. This is a local pub with lots of regulars and cold beer. Great prices but no kitchen.

Came here to shoot pool, will not be back. The barman accused one of our players of bailing on his tab, it was later proved that he had paid (receipts are awesome) and yet we still have not gotten our money back. If they are ever on our schedule again, I can feel a sickness coming on.... read more
