So I dropped my car off to get my fading red calipers redone and the fading black wheels changed to a powder coated silver wheel. Communication was pretty decent anytime I would text for an update I would get one within a few minutes. The value was pretty solid too my cost to have 4 calipers repainted, new stickers put on (that I provided) and powder coating the wheels was right around $1,100 with the 15% special and I paid cash. The wheels look very nice with very minimal "flaws" the wheels were old and black and beat up but now look very clean. Also though they had the car for a week (waiting on the powder coating to arrive) during the winter it was as clean when I picked it up as when I dropped it off. This is the second time I've used rim doctor with the first repairing some nasty curb rash from a valet and the wheels look very came out looking brand new. read more

The doctor did a great job on my Tesla. I dropped my car off and he had it fixed in about half an hour. I hit a manhole cover pretty hard and bent the hell out of my rim. There was a wobble and I didn't think it was possible to save it. I was pretty stressed out about it because I've only had this car less than a month. He didn't seem too worried about it and true to his word. He had my car back fast and in good as new condition. You can't even tell anything ever happened. The wobble is gone, and the Rim is perfect. terrible service! i sent the company pictures of my rim, they said they could fix it for me, drove an hour each way to bring the tire, left it there because they said would be a few hours, an hour later they called and said they can't fix it AND I owe them $15 for the inspection which was never mentioned originally!! now I had to drive another hour each way to pick up the tire that they couldn't fix and then had to wait 15 minutes for them to bring the tire to my car! extremely disappointed, will never use them again! read more

UPDATE FOR RIM DOCTOR I made a review previously where I had an encounter with an employee that brought about customer service concerns when I brought my vehicle in to repair significant curb rash. The owner promptly contacted me so be could get clarification on the concern and once he understood my concern, apologized and shared that he would like an opportunity to make it up to me. He offered me a significant discount for the inconvenience and I brought my truck in for service. The staff could not have been more helpful. Again, the damage was extensive and during the inspection his staff found a bend and a crack in the driver side wheel. They repaired this for a minimal amount which was a relief to me. After almost 7-8 hours, the work was complete. They took the time to pay attention to detail and do it right and professionally. The work was so good it made my tires look bad so I bought a new set Below you can see a before and after picture. I am taking this opportunity to resend my initial complaint here on Yelp and replace it with an update. I now highly recommend rim doctor to anyone with wheel problems. This experience reinforced to to me the value of second chance. Again, they are highly recommended by me and I'm working to take down my initial complaint as not to mislead anyone. Had 2003 Sport 4Runner rims repainted silver as well as center caps. I picked up the vehicle on a rainy evening so could not quite tell how well job looked. A few days later after the rains I inspected the job and saw few imperfections on paint on all four rims. I contacted Rim Doctor back and the manager asked me to bring it to inspect and redo. I got there, they saw it and said we'll get right on it. I can't tell you what a huge relief that was. I received a text back from them letting me know that the paint was still a bit tacky, so I had to wait approx 10 to 15 days for full cure and to bring it back then to sand and repaint them. I had 2 cracked rims that I took to get "repaired". I didn't drive the car a lot but every time I went to drive it, one of the "repaired" rims needed air. I would recommend finding a different place to fix cracked rims. read more

It started fine - the scheduling assistant was positive and accommodating. However, the day of my appointment, today - June 22, was different. I called at 9:00 am to ask if I could still come because my appointment was at 9:00 am. I was left on hold for 12 minutes. The receptionist shared I could come, which was great. When I arrived, I was told my four rims would be finished by the end of the day. And, I would receive a call. I live 40 minutes away (re: I shared this when I was coming in because I informed that I 12 minutes in my drive and should be only 15 minutes late). I called at 5:25pm to ask about the status of my call when the receptionist stand that she sent me two text messages. However, this was a lie. I never received a text. I informed her. She, who refused to give me her name (re: I believe it was Autumn or Amber - I cannot recall). However, I never met an employee, who said, "I do not feel comfortable sharing my name." I asked for the manager's name. She said they don't have a manager, but she would have the owner, Jose, call me on Tuesday or Thursday. This employee requires some training about responsibility, dealing with error, and conflict resolution. Further, I will be filing a BBB complaint because she refused to give me any contact information to escalate the manner. Note: The rims actually look good. My interaction with the company is scared by based on their craft but on their poor customer service. read more

At 1 PM, I checked on the status of my car and told it wasn't serviced yet and that "they are running a little behind." Rim Doctor came highly recommended, and I gave them a try. I was satisfied, so I decided to come back a second time for service as well as refer them. Well, I had the worst service ever! They damaged my tire in the process and tried to charge me for a tire as well as the rim repair. Needless to say, after consulting with them and they taking responsibility, I was given a tire of a different brand. When they changed the tire they damaged the rim again and told me that I had to make a return appointment to get it fixed. I asked for management and the owners' information (which they would not divulge), so I asked for the owner to contact me. After a few days, I reached back out after not hearing from the manager and owner of Rim Doctor, and I asked again for the owner to contact me. I thoroughly expressed my disappointment and expressed that I had to replace the mismatched tire that they put on my truck. Well, it's been weeks, and I have not heard from the owner. I have not been reimbursed for a tire and had to have rim repairs done at a reputable company. I'm highly disappointed and as I referred new business to this shop I'm going to stress please do not trust this shop with one of your most valuable possessions...your vehicle!!!! read more
