I went to this place based off google search. The staff was friendly but the work is crap. I took the vehicle back 4 times . I haven't even put a 700 miles on the car since I bought it because it has been in their possession. I spent over a grand between wheels and calipers yet they didn't offer any sort of refund or anything. They drove my car to Knightdale which is not even in the same city to supposedly have the tpms looked at , that by the way was perfectly fine before I took it here. I wouldn't recommend the service quality to anyone. Buyer beware the proof is in the pics. Then they had the nerve to place a photo of my car on their site without consent making it appear that my wheels look great when in fact if you look close they are just not good a. After some back and forth the company did refund my cost. Please that they did the right thing. Hopefully my experience was just a fluke. I wish them well in their continued endeavors read more

When I discovered, I had a bent rim and was quoted a price for a brand new one, someone recommended rim repair instead, a new concept to me. I did some research and found good reviews of Rimguard and took a chance. I had to make an appointment through the website, which involved emails back-and-forth, but once the appointment was made and they checked my rim, I was extremely pleased with the outcome. They had a nice waiting room, Pleasant staff and my car drives so smoothly now. I saved hundreds of dollars by repairing instead of replacing the rim! Had 2 wheels repaired that were damaged during the delivery of my new car. Long story but my Lexus dealer did recommend them. The 2 wheels came out beautiful meeting my expectations. Unfortunately when I went to put one of them back on the car I discovered it was flat because the tire sensor assembly was not put back on correctly. Discount tire saved my day as Rimguard said they were too busy to rectify the problem and I would have to leave the wheel at their shop 20 miles away again. If it was me, I would have said bring it back and wait for the person who messed up the sensor fix it. read more

Had my rims done in gloss black and lime green calipers on my Tesla Model 3. Everything is great but one rear caliper needed some touch up and a little bit touch up on of the rim when I went to pickup my car. City been cloudy and rain most of the week, just get to see my windshield in sun yesterday and overspray all over my windshield, glass roof and the rear glass. Took me hours trying to remove it on the windshield but stills can't gets it all off. They Needed to improve on the prep work! read more

Took for my car here for caliper painting. I sent an email before hand outlining exactly what I wanted weeks before the scheduled appointment. I was excited when the car was ready a whole day before they told me it would be. However, during that "it's ready call," I realized that only half of what I wanted had been done. I also wanted lettering on the calipers. They stated "it wasn't in the work order." To that, I stated " it was in the email I sent weeks ago." They told me it would be ready in the morning instead. When I arrived to pick up my car the next morning, there was no real apologies for the confusion, and they were very lackadaisical about the whole situation. The rims on my car were super dusty when I got it back. There seemed to be no attempt to clean off the parts of the car where the work was done (rims). It's been my experience when getting mods to my cars, usually after the work is complete they will "shine up" the area in which they performed the work to highlight the "before" and "after." Not this time. My black rims looked like they had been driven down a dirt road. I'm a stickler for customer service and I think that is just one of those little attention-to-detail type things that separates GREAT detailing/mod/accessory car shops from just the good ones. I will say that they did a good job on the caliper painting and it looks great. It's just the customer service was a little lacking in my humble opinion. I would recommend them for caliper painting, but if you're looking for warm and fuzzy customer service with that, this is not the place. read more

Need rim repair for curb rash. It was quick and near perfect. I had scraped the rim on my brand new SUV, and I wanted to get it repaired so that it still looked like new. I got exactly what I wanted. I set an appointment up for 8 am for the repair of one rim. They quoted me $120 and about 1 - 1.5 hours of labor. I show up and am seen immediately. Then I noticed that there was damage to a second rim. They take care of both for $100 a piece instead of the quoted $120 and was done in 45 minutes. When I went to inspect the work, I literally couldn't spot the repairs to figure out how they looked. read more

Wonderful service and miracle workers with damaged rims. I hope I don't hit another curb in the future but if I do this is where I will take my car. the only thing I would point out the area is really not pedestrian-friendly and if you are going to be there waiting for your car you'll need something to do. Eric Bearden was a great help to me when I was worried about a light on my car. He made every effort to figure out what was going on and spent lots of time doing his own research to suggest the best and most cost effective solutions. After trying many tests and explaining every step as well as predicted costs down to the cent, Eric happily informed me the issue I had came in with wasn't one that needed fixing at that time. He could have charged me for the time he had taken to check things out but didn't, and I think that's a sign of an honest person- a great characteristic to have in a mechanic! Though they clearly specialize in rims, I wish I could take my car there for every other service it needs. Thanks, Eric and the Rim Guard team! I tried using rimguard services to fix my damaged steel rim for a 2016 corolla. They informed me that it could not be fixed and had to be replaced and offered to order the replacement for me which I paid for up front. However when I went to the appointment to have the new rim mounted and balanced they informed me that they actually ordered the wrong rim and that I would need to order another one. They also said the fees associated with returning the incorrect rim that they ordered themselves would equal the cost of the rim and that I might as well try to sell it myself...So now I have a rim that doesn't fit my car and still have to drive on my spare tire and I'm out 125 dollars. The office staff is grossly incompetent at their jobs and I highly recommend going through anyone else if you need rim repair or replacement. They have no sense of accountability and are a total waste of money and time. Good luck! read more

I brought my truck in to have tires mounted and balanced. They broke a stud on my back passenger wheel. The stud came loose while I was driving and destroyed my parking brake assembly. I called the following Monday to let them know what happened and also emailed them pictures. They called basically to say since they had noted on their paperwork the stud was damaged they weren't responsible for letting it break loose and doing the damage it did. They'll never get my or anyone else I know business again. read more

I had a frame powder coated by this location. Within 3 months the powder coat started bubbling and peeling away with rust underneath. There is bubbling in the surface and in tight corners it looks like thin coverage of the powder. There was no rust on this part when I brought it to them. They were not willing to help me and said there is no warranty. I have never seen such low quality powder coat work. And the customer service is terrible. read more

I recently had my rim done here, after repeated calling the store and the owner of the store I decided to write a review for this store. I went to this Rimguard place to have my four wheel checked, after waiting for several minutes someone from shop came and ask me if I needed any help, I explained that person that I was getting this weird sound coming from right rear wheel, he said he will charge me $25 to check. I said I am willing to pay that then he took the car and put some sort of lift outside the store and acknowledged that right rear wheel is bent and he will fix it and do the balancing for $150, I agreed and gave him ok. After 20 minutes he came back with my keys and said that the rim was fixed. When I went on the highway the same sound was still coming! Then I went back to the place, they were closed. They close at 5:00PM. After that I tried calling and leaving messages even to the owner but I never received the call back. They ripped me off with my hard earned money of $150. + tax. The problem is that they close at 5PM and also close on Weekends and I leave work at 5:30 PM. It's very annoying and disturbing that they never borher to call you back. Shame on you! you got my money but you didn't provide the service that I deserve. read more
