If you can't tell that this is the "before," then maybe check out some optometrist reviews.

It's not often I have a desire to give more than 5 stars, but CWR kinda blew it outta the water with my wheel repair! I have had curb rash on all four of my wheels for a good while (it's a sports car, I may or may not drive it a bit hard sometimes, don't judge me), but it took two bent wheels (again, don't judge!) for me to look into repairing or replacing them. If you've ever shopped for wheels, you know it's a painful process. By the end of the day, I researched wheel repair. Hands down, the best quote was from CWR and LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS! Okay, maybe don't look at them here on Yelp, but their reviews on Google are the gospel truth. They got me in the day after I decided to fix the wheels and I had my car back by the end of the day. They literally come to you or try to meet you somewhere close to you (wheel bends make things trickier since you have to go to a wheel shop to have the tire removed). ***Look at the pics of my worst wheel before and after. Is that even the same wheel?! Why, yes, yes it is! My car looks awesome again AND the steering wheel doesn't vibrate above 55mph. WINNING.

Carolina Wheel Repair is an absolutely fantastic!! I cannot say enough about the professional manner in which they work. I was stranded with a bent rim after hitting a pothole. Fritz brought his mobile unit to me and repaired the damage in short order. When I went back to the tire shop to get the tire balanced, they were amazed that it didn't even need to be re-weighted!! An absolute amazing experience from beginning to end...and at a very fair price!!

Best shop in town. I…read morefirst came to Village Motor Works when it was still spelled motorwerks and owned by Bill and Pam. Back then I had a VW, and they treated me well. So when I returned in July '17, I was surprised to find the place had changed hands and undergone one heck of a facelift. Since July I've had the pleasure of dealing with Bryan and Elizabeth several times because I've recently purchased two new-to-me vehicles that have needed some work. Bryan is the best kind of mechanic. He not only knows his stuff, he'll show you what's wrong, and explains how he plans to fix the problem before diving in. I've received nothing but exceptional customer service from him and Elizabeth each and every time I've passed through their door. It's always nice to find a great mechanic, and if you're looking for someone who exemplifies honesty while offering great service for a reasonable cost, you've found your shop. I won't be taking my vehicles anywhere else so long as they're in business.

We experienced an engine malfunction with my daughter's car, which sounded like a misfire. I checked reviews for nearby garages, and Village Motor Works seemed to be pretty good, so my daughter took it here. They diagnosed the primary issue as a stretched and jumped timing chain, with secondary impacts to the coils and plugs. I dealt with two service advisors--one was nice and helpful, but the other was rather rude and dismissive. Unfortunately, my primary service advisor was the rude one. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe he had a lot going on. I don't know, but I called up to discuss the diagnosis, and he was extremely dismissive. I tried to get him to walk me through how they arrived at their verdict, and he just repeatedly stated with absolute certainty that it was a timing chain issue. He quoted me $3,679 to replace the timing chain (typical is around $2,400-$2,800) plus $2,400 for plugs and coils (should be no more than about $1,200-$1,700). Given the misfires, I completely understand the rationale for replacing the plugs, but one could argue replacement of any/all coils is unnecessary. I tried to talk through some ways to get the job pared back, but he was unyielding. $6,000+ or get your car off my lot. So I did. I had it towed elsewhere, and the second garage correctly diagnosed the problem as a misfire caused by a single failed coil. I was back on the road for a little over $1,300, and that included a second diagnostic fee and a tow. In summary, I do not think they dreamed up the timing issue to extort money out of me (which is why I am not leaving a one-star rating), but I do think their tech misdiagnosed the core issue. I could even live with that, but then they were rude to boot. Two stars.

Well, as it turns out Endurance took a long time to give the go ahead to fix my car. Then after they did, they would only pay about 60% of the cost, leaving me to pay the other 40%. However Danielle did give me a Veteran's Discount for my portion. so that was a bit of a help. They didn't get my car done today but went ahead and ordered a Uber to take me home tonight from my job. That's good Customer Service. Tomorrow, when they finish with my car, they'll have Jimmy come and pick me up from home and take me to my car. So as far as the Service is concerned, I think they're top notch. This is my first experience with Chapel Hill tire, but I think when I do need tires, I'll go there.

I went to the another shop, one recommended to me for their integrity, who stated they would look for free and fix whatever they found. Turns out, there was no leak in the first place, and that the dripping had other explanations not requiring any expensive intervention. Chapel Hill Tire has lost my trust. Do not give these fearmongerers and scammers your business. Their shiny new interior is paid for by your dollars, once they scare you into paying for things you don't need. Discount Tire's Journey Tracker app actually worked properly this time around (it didn't work at all at Wake Forest). I used it to notify that I was on the way, and of my arrival after I parked at the designated lot. It was about five minutes before the appointment time when I arrived. Despite the day being a public holiday (Martin Luther King, Jr.), the wait time was a fraction of the 5-minute I had suffered at Wake Forest. After the staff member looked at my car, he determined that the tire had to be replaced. Since I didn't purchase a warranty, I paid full price for the replacement. Unlike at Wake Forest, the staff member told me approximately what time the my car would be ready for pickup, and that the technicians worked on my car almost immediately (Wake Forest didn't get to it until almost four hours later). Journey Tracker was updated to show 1) time window of my arrival and 2) estimated completion time. The text message on my phone showed the check-in time of 3:19pm. Like at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville has three bays; unlike at Wake Forest, 4400 Fayetteville were operating three service areas full-time in their bays during the entire time I was there. The waiting area was less than half-full. l returned almost an hour later but didn't wait long to pick up my car. The text message notified me at 4:12pm that it was ready. That was the time that I got into my car and left. Total wait time was less than an hour. Why did I choose 4400 Fayetteville? Because they had appointments available the next day while all the other locations didn't. I was expecting similar crappy services that I had at Wake Forest, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. It restored my confidence in Discount Tire and reaffirmed that not all of their locations are the same. Even though 4400 Fayetteville is out of the way for me, I will consider going back here for future services.
