The desk guy suggested that I take it elsewhere as he (personally) thought it may be transmission related. Took it to another local shop and it indeed was the axle. Don't work on a car if you don't know how to repair that model. But, why let making money get in the way? duh. I later took it to another shop who said I need a new starter.Problem solved. Guys, keep your receipts. Use a credit card. Drive the car on the highway, look under the hood the day you get it back. Document it. Take pictures before and after. They are a "likeable" company. By that I mean, when you walk in the door, they either "like" you or they don't. If they don't. You need to leave. LEAVE! Take a gander at the gaudy rings. Maybe he doesn't know how to buy diamonds? Maybe he just doesn't know? Maybe he loves spending money on gumball machines? But wearing two such rings is something that only Liberace would do and people actually liked him. The tires come from a central warehouse and are ordered usually on the day you come in. It should be the same price at the next place down the road for tires. My tire was basically slashed by one of those metal security things that you run over the wrong way. After putting on the spare, we tried a few other nearby shops. One was closed, the other had a ridiculously long line, the other didn't carry the size I needed, but recommended 24 hour tire. We didn't exchange many words with the two workers here. All I know is that I paid $60-something for a "new" (definitely not new) tire. I didn't mind because the other three tires are 2 years old, so this was just on par. Service was really fast. We were in and out of there within 30 minutes. Can't beat the price!
