This brewery is very open and welcoming. They have space for big tables like 10-12 top tables. But also have lots of little two tops and 4 tops! It's a rather small space though so if you're a bigger group I would call and check to see if they are able to accommodate. Every time I come here the bartender greets me and tell me to order with them and they bring the food out..... so that's what I have done. But I've also seen wait staff so I'm not sure if they pool tips or what? The person who delivers the food is always great and always asks if you need something else and let up can order through him and then he brings you another check. Staff is great and fast. If the employees here were nicer and didn't look like they were counting down the seconds until their shifts were over then this place would be five stars. They have kegs, crowlers and individual beers to buy to go. You can also get a flight or a point to enjoy with your meal. The food is incredibly good. Burritos, salads, burgers-you just can't go wrong! I love my food and devoured it but I was also jealous of every plate that went by. I have really tried to love this place because of the rich Carpinteria culture and vibe but unfortunately cannot get myself to do it. I've tried many beers, appetizers, and a a couple meal dishes and all were quite simply "okay." The best I've had here was the Rincon Brew Burger which I split with a friend and even then could not finish. The quality was good and while I did have a little stomach ache after it was worth it for the taste. The beers are definitely not bad and the prices are average but again I just haven't found that one that gets me stoked to come back for more and if I'm paying for craft brew I would rather be absolutely ecstatic about what I'm drinking rather than just doing it to do it. The staff are always very kind and get you seated in a more than reasonable time, but after that seem to disappear for a little and take their time on getting the check to you once you've finished. No complaints on that just make sure you have the time for a long sit down meal rather than a quick beer and food stop. The outdoor patio is always lively and gives a great vibe to the restaurant itself. It can get a little crowded and hard to hear, though. I do love how there's a bike rack and a fun sand area for kids to play in while parents talk during the food preparation. Not a bad stop for families and tourists, but wouldn't recommend as my top stops in Carp for food and brew. read more

Might be a good place to grab a beer , but pass on the food . The Pork Sliders were fatty and over sauced on a soggy bun . As for the Cauliflower , it's deep fried and smothered in BBQ sauce , again it's soggy and all you taste is a overdose of BBQ sauce . the fries are also soggy and limp . Only reason for 4 star, not 5 is staff left me waiting at the bar for a long time to order even though it was not busy, and then no other staff was seen outside. Ever since my fiancé tried the IPA from Rincon at Brophy Brothers in Santa Barbara, he has been in love with this brewery. So we decided to stop by on our way to Santa Barbara this past weekend. We went a little after they opened. We were worried that they would be closed on Fourth of July but we got lucky. I tried the Jellybowl - Pineapple Guava and it was delicious. My fiancé got a flight and he ended up getting a six pack to-go of the Indicator IPA that he loved. The staff is very welcoming and they were very attentive. Fun place to eat with great beer. Outside seating is the way to go as the brewery gets very loud. There is a sand box area under the trees outside which makes it great if you have little ones with you. Food was good and service good, recommend the Indicator IPA if you like IPA's. We did wait a bit for one round of drinks and our check, but the brewery was becoming very busy so I understand why. Would definitely try again. My sister, cousin, and I came to Rincon April 3 for dinner and put our name in at 6:30pm. We were told there was a 30 min wait; we agreed to wait and the woman took our name and phone number, saying she would text us when the table was ready. We waited outside in the cold (it was especially windy) and after 35 minutes went in (since we never received a text) and asked about being seated. We were then informed that the restaurant was too busy and guests were being turned away. The woman we spoke to (who took our name and turned us away) apparently is the manager, Michaela. She was indifferent to the fact we had waited needlessly and offered no apology or accommodation; in fact, she told us she was stressed out and seemed to be asking us to be empathetic to her case when she wasn't at all with ours. A simple text message, early on, would have sufficed. She said she was too busy to text and inform us that we wouldn't be seated, that the restaurant had stopped taking customers. A text takes no time at all. Had we received it, we would have been understanding--as it would have allowed us time to find another place to eat dinner! In the end, we had to search to see what else was still open for dinner and ate very late. When I said this treatment was unacceptable and asked for some compensation, she threw her hands in the air and shook her head. It is then I asked to speak with a manager--and was appalled that she was it. I was shocked, disappointed, and angry at how we were treated. My sister has been talking about your restaurant for weeks before our trip to Carpinteria as she has been a patron of your restaurant for over 5 years. We were looking forward to enjoying the food to celebrate her milestone birthday there. We actually tried to eat there the previous night but were turned away due to a gas leak (understandable). Michaela indicated a lack of appropriate staffing--but that's not an excuse for poor customer relations. Rincon has lost a loyal customer and created a terrible experience on what should have a celebratory night. I wrote to the owner and received no response after a week so I sincerely doubt he will address this situation. read more

I'm the most indecisive person on planet earth so I love when restaurants have testers! Per usual, I couldn't decide on a beer so my mom and I split the sampler. It was only $7, and it was the perfect amount for us. We both loved Little Rincon, and can't wait to get it again next time we're in town. The environment was warm and casual, and their staff was very inviting! However, I took one star away because it was SO noisy. We couldn't barely hear ourselves think. We asked to sit on their patio (which is super cute btw), and even though it was chilly, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Also, their pretzel bites are delicious. Awesome casual spot in a cute town. Visited during off-peak hours and the vibe was mellow. Service was friendly (seat yourself then order food from the bar) and food was yummy. The sweet potato fries are super fluffy and are a must-try. Some vegan-friendly options including veggie burger that seemed house-made. Extra points for not using disposable plastic for things like salad dressing cups. Some beer offerings to go. Bathrooms were agreeable. Would visit again. read more

Online ordered was super easy and I asked for quite a bit of substitutes plus extra dressings (all written in the comments box - these were not options) They got every. single. request. right. I stopped by Rincon Brewery while in Carp to check out the Avocado Festival. The scene was lively with a touch of neighborly, the Dodger game was on and everyone was feeling good. I had the Bleu Burger. Incredible flavors, a solid bar burger. I am a huge blue cheese fan and the amount of cheese they put into the burger is very accommodating. The burger patty itself is actually overwhelmed by the cheese and the thickness of the bun. The burger was also cooked perfectly medium-rare which is a rarity - pun intended. Potato skins rocked my world despite the Tri-Tip falling a bit short of my Santa Maria standards. Fish and chips was served piping hot and so so good. I would recommend the chips over the fries! Great nugget in the middle of the lovely small town Carpinteria. It has a low-key, casual vibe that makes you immediately feel comfortable, and you can trust the beer on tap is carefully selected. There's also a sweet parking lot right behind that always tends to have open spaces, so that's a definite score for the girl who always has trouble finding parking (aka me). They were pretty busy on a Friday night, so my friends and I ended up sitting at the communal table with other folks. We weren't exactly given that much attention, so we had to wait a while to get our order taken. My friend and I had the tri-tip sandwiches (her's had pico de Gallo and I had the BBQ sauce). The meat was great, but was definitely a mouth workout. I thought the flavors were great and finished the entire thing without actually feeling bloated! Score. Plus I looked cool finishing it and drinking a beer after. Double score. They have a wide selection of draft beers and some rotating guest local beers, and the prices aren't so bad. The bar is usually occupied by the old men of the town, so I got a kick out of watching them interact loudly while watching sports. Also, the patio is really chill.
