Happened upon this delightful spot when our intended spot was closed for another hour...Lucky Us! The Breakfast Burrito was a 10/10 and the Green Salsa was an 11/10 (per my salsa connoisseur husband). The coffee was also spot on! We're Carpinteria locals and can't believe we hadn't tried this place until today -- 10/10! The garden is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful -- a perfect spot for outdoor seating (though the indoor space looked cozy too). I had the salad sampler with tuna, egg, and chicken salad -- all homemade and full of flavor. My boyfriend loved his meatloaf sandwich with chips. We also picked up a container of their homemade pickles and shared a chai vanilla blended drink for dessert -- delicious. We'll definitely be back for brunch or lunch. I don't often leave reviews but this place is amazing!! I've lived in this area for 50+ years and this is truly one of the best kept secrets in Santa Barbara county! The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, the food is fresh, creative and delicious, and the coffees are the best in town. The huevos rancheros I ordered was the best I've ever had but the PUMPKIN SPICE CHAI latte was magical (thank you, Julia!). Ordered BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich, Cappuccino, and Boston Cream Pie. Sandwich and pie were very flavorful, and great texture on the tri-tip. Cappuccino foam was great, coffee wasn't top notch but this place isn't a specialty coffee shop so it would be unfair to mark them down on that. Many items on the menu that I want to come back and try! Also a nice setting and is definitely a place to come for a casual meet-up. read more

The food was very tasteful and not your typical sandwich stop that you can get somewhere else. Out of the brie and turkey mushroom meatloaf my favorite was the turkey mushroom meatloaf. It was very savory even with all the red onion. It in fact added more flavor. The brie was also very good with the pozole as I got the sandwich and soup combo. The pozole tasted just like the one you make, homemade. I would not get it with the chicken though as it is $1 extra charge and is not made within the pozole but instead chopped up and added. They offer lots of seating inside and outside but the walls we sat by were very dirty. It seemed they had not been cleaned in quite some time. I love the garden market because it's a lovely cafe and breakfast spot that's misleading from the front entrance. When I first came here I assumed it was just a small cafe with a few tables inside, instead what I found was a lovely boutique and cafe with a huge garden back patio! Simply fantastic. The food is typical morning bakery items and some hot dishes. I like to stick with a bagel or avocado toast. They also have breakfast burritos and sandwiches. I thought those were just okay but otherwise any bakery food has been great. A huge assortment of teas and coffees. Easy to please any guest. From my experience the service has always been great and friendly. You order at the counter and any food items they'll bring to your table. I feel like the service is super quick here, I've never had to wait long for food and the outside is so spacious that even when they get busy they can fit many. My other favorite thing about this spot is their small store/boutique on the inside. They always have the cutest little dishtowels! There the secret is out. Love all of the small home and garden goods. A great little treat to be able to shop while brunching. read more

This store has unique gifts as well as fantastic food and wine selections. I had purchased an Olive Oil and Vinegar set and when I got home and filled the vinegar vessel it had a small leak. I contacted the owner and she immediately responded that she would take the vinegar from another set and place it on hold with my name and number. When I went to pick it up today, the gentleman at the cash register after hearing the tale gave me a discount on my latte. I also made some other purchases. I recently had my baby shower at the lovely and charming back patio of the Garden Market with about 25 people. We had a buffet lunch with sandwiches, salad, quiche, ravioli, mimosas, lemonade, tea, and carrot cake. Everyone said that the food was delicious and the ambiance was delightful! I've never had a bad visit at the Garden Market. It's a solid choice for breakfast, brunch or lunch. My most recent visit was to take my brother and sister-in-law out for breakfast. We were disappointed they had stopped serving breakfast (what felt like early) but there were a couple breakfast items we were still able to order. Option of indoor or outdoor seating. I recommend outdoor but be prepared for birds attempting to be your best friend and flying over to your table in hopes of a grabbing a tasty morsel when you're not looking. Personally, I love all animals and welcome their presence. However if that bothers you, adorable indoor seating is available. There's an adorable shop you can browse through while waiting for your food. Presentation of the food is always on point and there is no lack of delicious taste with anything we order. The location is adorable and very close to Santa Claus Beach. There are local shops you can browse in before or after your meal and you can even hang out on the beach for a bit. If you're lucky you may catch a view of dolphins swimming by or even the fin of a juvenile great white shark. "Baby shark do do do do do do.." This place - is a MUST visit on any trip to Carpinteria. We stopped in just to grab a coffee... but we were completely charmed. I was first in love with the lemon bars in the bakery case. I freaking love lemon bars and these were fantastic. My SO fell under the spell of the chocolate brownie and these are also great. A little rich for me, but I had already found my bliss in a lemon square. The garden in the back is a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy your treats. On our way out, I browsed their well-curated selection of foods and home goods... and I was stunned to find myself - and I am a true minimalist and generally hate tchotchke things... but I fell in LOVE with this gorgeous hanging half moon thing... and knew it would be lovely in my bedroom... HAD to have it. And it was only $22.50 - honestly, I expected it to be way more. This place is the real deal. I dare you to walk out of here only with a cup of the (very good) coffee.
