I ordered a spinach and cheese empanada and it was very flavorful and my son got a piece of flon, which was a new experience for him. Although he didn't care for it, I did eat it the rest and i thought it was pretty good! Glad we stopped by but wish we had come here first!

The ordering process seemed chaotic but I ordered two Cuban sandwiches and a Cafe Con Leche for lunch. Told the wait would be 15 minutes, we sat outside in the meantime. After 25 minutes and no sandwiches, I inquired inside as to the status - finally, five minutes later the sandwiches were ready. However, no Cafe Con Leche . Again went inside, waited for the front desk server to process several orders before I could ask about the status of the drink. Nothing had been made, so another five minutes for the drink order. By this time I was plenty hungry, and was disappointed with the Cuban sandwich. It's basically a toasted ham sandwich, nothing particularly unique about it. Given the hassles just getting the meal entailed, not a great experience.

There were so many bad things and honestly nothing good except the rainbow we saw going in for dinner. Our friend who lives in St. Augustine wanted to go there for her birthday dinner, so three of us drove down from Jacksonville in two different cars. From the beginning it was a hassle. A hassle to get a table six day ahead of the requested date so we had to go with a 5:45 spot, I called to preorder a vegetable dish as I am a vegetarian and they said the reservation that was so hard to get would have to be cancelled and the entire table would need to do preordered entrees so I passed on that and then I called to ask about the corkage fee to bring my own wine and that was a no. Despite Florida allowing that, I do understand that is at the individual restaurants' discretion, but it is short sighted as that is pure profit for the restaurant. I dine at only high end restaurants locally and when traveling and they all allow byob wine with a corkage fee. We waited for the lady who drove us over to the restaurant to park and once inside (after checking in while she parked and they said we all had to be there), we stood around for another 10 minutes and then asked about our table and the two ladies at the hostess stand did not even seem to know who we were. I did speak to the manager in that time regarding the wine policy and she was not very friendly as neither were the other two people I spoke to on the days prior. When we were seated we were basically told they do things "their way" not that wording but interpretation. You must order everything at once- appetizers, sides, entrees, etc. The exact wording was "it is easier for the kitchen". I am sorry, but who is paying the check here? We did have several special requests regarding no onions for me and a few questions from those of us who had not been there. I knew from the minute we ordered which took us a little time to decide, that there was no way things were going to come out as requested and I was spot on though I did not realize how bad it could get/be. The charcuterie board was a joke. They did seperate the meat from the cheese as asked but it was pathetic and they had the nerve to serve stale Pepperidge Farm assorted crackers with that. A few pieces of other things but primarily PF crackers. Who does that? We ordered two salads to split between the four of us and asked that be the second course along with some bread. Some of the ladies ordered the beef tip appetizer as their entree to follow the charcuterie board and salads. I ordered the vegetable plate and the other lady ordered a filet special. Charcuterie came out and again pathetic, bread came out and beef tips. Not at all what was requested. We watched people get their meals that were seated after us and one and a half hours later we still had no salads. We finally asked another server to help us out and got our salads. Two hours later, we still did not have the vegetable plate or the filet. Needless to say, we were over it and found the manager to cash out and leave. They did comp the food we didn't receive and the apps but not the beef tips, bread, or drinks so we still spent $180 plus tip. In my opinion, they should have comped it all as it was such a terrible experience. We left to meet friends at Pesca Rooftop and they generously offered us some of the pizzas they had ordered as they heard about our horrible experience. We should have just gone there from the start. This was a one and done for those of us from Jacksonville. From service to management to food it was a huge disappointment. I sure hope they have a better team with better attitudes and such when they open in Jacksonville as we have lots of great restaurants here and that will not work here.

Restaurant was easy to find and close to our hotel, plenty of parking. When we walked up, the views were nice as it's on the water. Nice signage. We walked in and were able to get seated inside right away (it was raining out otherwise we would have sat outside) but they sat us at a window seat so that was nice. Our server came by soon after, was attentive and friendly the rest of the evening. Appetizers - We ordered the gator tail and calamari. That must have been THE most tender calamari I've ever had! The breading was also very good and light - and the pepper sauce they give with it... wow very good! The gator was also very tender and good! Entrees - I ordered the Butter Rum Scallops and my husband ordered the Shrimp & Grits. My first bite of my entree was heavenly... I REALLY enjoyed it. It was sooooo good. That butter rum was something else. Scallops were perfectly cooked. My husbands was very good too - great flavor!! The grits were perfect. Then we ordered a Key Lime Pie to go (way too stuffed to eat it there lol!) but when we had some later that night... probably our favorite key lime pie ever! The consistency of it was like jelly like and it was SUPER good! Overall - a 10/10 experience here! Would definitely come back and hopefully on a nicer day so we can sit outside with the water views.

Bar was hopping, live music. It's giving outdoor tiki which we loved. Food was decent, on par with every other seafood restaurant in Florida. Our waitress was great. On to the negatives - the hostess stand and or management is disorganized. Came up at 8:20 and asked for a table of 4. We inquired about an over water tiki hut and were told they stop seating those at 8pm because it gets dark. That's fine. Was told a 45 min wait, we agreed to join the list through yelp. We asked for first available, indoor or outdoor. On the plus side, the wait ended up being closer to 30 mins. However, there were tons of free tables the entire time we waited. Tiki huts were empty. The whole inside only had 2 tables sat. We asked to see a menu while we waited and got an audible sigh and eye roll. When our table was called, the hostess called 4 other groups at the same exact time, leading to a lot of confusion. As we are sitting and eating (it's now 9:30) a couple walks in. They're led to a table on the patio and asks to go into a tiki hut instead, which they are promptly sat in after they clean it off. So we asked our waitress, what's the deal! She said oh just ask the hostess and they can put you on the list for those huts. So not sure what happened. Overall- ambience 8/10 Food 7/10 Service (waitress) 10/10 Management (hostess) 4/10 Not sure if we'll go back because of the disorganization, unnecessary wait times, and rude hostesses.
