Baleada con frijoles, crema, queso y huevo ($3.50)

Good food, bad service. I would give the service another try for the sake of the food but will probably try out other restaurants in the area first. Baleada con frijoles, crema, queso y huevo ($3.50). Surprisingly filling and tasty considering the simplicity of ingredients and the size of the baleada - would get again. Pollo Chaco ($13): This was very strange. The chicken was perfect, nice and crispy and there were a variety of veggies and ingredients on the plantains. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. Wouldn't get again, but I was glad I tried it. Horchata: Delicious. Good prices, clean and homey restaurant. However, the waitress seemed a bit rude. She was speed-mumbling when talking to us so we could barely understand her. She did not appear to understand me half the time when I spoke in either English or Spanish and even my mother, who is a native Spanish speaker, could barely understand her. As someone who's been in customer service, I felt she was doing the bare minimum.

Humble spot in Chelsea with heavy-hitting flavors! It tasted like the chicken had been marinating for weeks! After a day of moving furniture, this was the comfort meal I didn't know I needed. The staff was really kind and let me try to order in Spanish without laughing at me. 1000% will come back again!

I love the food, but enough is enough.. Why doesn't anyone that answers the phone speak English?! So frustrating, I call to place an order and as soon as I ask for someone to take my order (in English) they put the phone down and I have to wait for 5 minutes just for someone who can speak English to take my order. It makes me not want to place take out orders from here.. and I love the food!! Smh.. Please fix this ASAP

I got the enchiladas hondurenas (pictured), and a tamale and a cashew juice. Note: the tamales don't have any filling. Food was very good. The cashew juice was sickeningly sweet and I barely drank it. Service was friendly, but at the end I had to wait and ask for my check after I said I was all done. Maybe it's a cultural difference from Honduras. Place has a diner type feel to it. Mostly spanish speaking and on menu, but wasn't an issue. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the wait for the check, and it took a little longer than expected for the food. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Great place to eat that I found in the neighborhood. The waiters were helpful and friendly and that's nothing to speak of the food I ate! It was delicious and I'll return very soon.

Tried this place out with a colleague for lunch. I ordered atol de elote (a sweet corn porridge-kind of hot drink) and was shyly informed by the server that they didn't have it available, because it was still cooking on the stove. Right in the middle of the day and despite there being a sign posted on the entrance door stating that product is readily available. It's also a regular item on the menu, so really? Okay. I ordered a super baleada and colleague ordered a steak baleada. Additionally, I got a banana soda and he ordered rice pudding with a coffee. His coffee came out with cream and sugar already in it, which he didn't order as such. Our baleadas were pitiful. The beans, cream, & cheese were little dollops in the center of the medium-large sized handmade flour tortilla. The steak in both baleadas was a decent amount and it was flavorful. The avocado slice in mine was not worthy of the tortilla ratio. Baleadas are typically eaten just with your hands, but I had to request utensils so we could spread out the ingredients from the center of the tortillas outward, in order to eat a properly constructed baleada! A different waitress that I requested the utensils from made a face and complained to our waitress about me requesting utensils for our meal, even going as far as asking our waitress what had we ordered again... Oh, and about the rice pudding? Our waitress informed us mid meal that there would be no rice pudding, because it burned on the stove as they were preparing it for my colleague...okay. The taste was on point, but not yet sure it's worth returning to.

We ordered the following: - fish tacos (3) - flavor wise this fell flat for me. No punch of seasoning to the fish personally. - Birria tacos combo - fire combo. I just love birria style tacos. Highlight for me hot and well cooked beef, tender. - Birria chimichanga (2) this is hefty, i thought this was a good chimichanga, i would probably ask for extra sauce next go around, it got a bit dry without it. - carne asada enchiladas, the lady enjoyed this, carne was moist and tender. - pork belly & yuca loved the pork belly originally thought it was more like a chicharron dish but enjoyed this style , the yuca wasn't my jam. - tajin elote (2) love tajin elotes so no complaints! - churro espresso Great spot, great service.

I would probably skip on the fish tacos next time just because it wasn't really my thing but everything else was tasty. The Birria tacos and Birria chimichanga were out of this world... my favorites out of everything we ordered. Very flavorful and generous portion sizes. Honestly we ordered way more than we could eat lol but they made for the best leftovers the next day. We were able to walk-in without reservations for a table of 3 & service is very quick and efficient!! Food came quick and pipin' hot! Would definitely come back again & I highly recommend. My husband got his food. I waited and waited... and waited. He's almost done, mine still hasn't arrived. Apparently, walking up to the staff member, carrying menu, pointing to the dish, pointing at me, smiling, nodding, pointing at the menu and me again did not register as asking for that thing. Husband was done eating. I was offered to have the dish made. It'd take them twenty minutes. I was hungry when I entered the eatery, but too upset to feel any hunger. I just wanted to get the heck out of there, and that's what we did; paid and left. I turned around and using a language translation tool wrote "you should have a sign on the door, in English, that you don't speak English," and showed it to the waitress. I have a feeling that she might have not been able to reading, as I got another blank stare.

I cannot recommend this restaurant, not at all. Maybe if you're fluent in Spanish, you might actually get a meal?

The bright dining has long bar with seating to the left and plenty of table seating, yellow & brown painted walls, and a colorful mural. I stopped in for dinner at Iguana's very recently. The place was not too busy and I could sit anywhere I wanted. The owner greeted me and brought out complementary crunchy tortilla chips & red tomato salsa. He also brought out homemade green salsa, which was very good. I ordered water, a Poland Spring bottle ($2) and the Chicken Fajitas ($13.50 plus tax) served with rice and black beans. The chicken fajitas were served very hot on a skillet with fresh red & green peppers, onions, yellow zucchini and tender strips of chicken breast, a bit oily on the skillet. The side plate had soft Mexican rice, cup of black beans, and a green salad with pico de gallo. There was no guacamole or sour cream on the plate. I did have to request warm soft tortillas (I got 2) after being served. The portion of food was very generous and I was very full, so no dessert. Overall, I had a good dinner at Iguana's. The food was fresh, tasty, and very filling. What I liked about this place is that it was laid back and not mobbed or very busy like the other sitdown Manchester Mexican restaurants including Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, La Carreta, and Mi Jalisco. I actually had a good quiet dinner with the owner checking up on me to see how things were.
