We went as soon as our schedule allowed for it and surprisingly PAL was very easy to find. They have a private lot with ample parking. The staff here is very friendly and we were greeted almost immediately. Everyone was quite nice and assisted us from selecting the design we were looking for to rolling up the 4 x 8 sheet to put into our vehicle. The whole process was seamless. We found one finish that we were looking for but unfortunately the other finish we wanted was not available. If they had it, we would have purchased that from them too. Very reasonable pricing and we highly recommend them when looking for building supplies, kitchen, bathroom and flooring.

Chelsea, from Big Rock Fabrications assured us that they had not attempted delivery. Delivery was attempted, just as our cameras had recorded. A couple of weeks later, the same truck and Company arrived with our rock. Transport claimed it had not tried to deliver the first time, Big Rock Fabrications told us it had not attempted to deliver as well. The cameras don't lie. However, we were happy to have our rock at hand ,we had a project to get started and we were excited to get started turning our back yard into a piece of paradise on the mainland. Unfortunately, we realized that multiple pallets of rock had arrived cracked and unusable. Once we notified Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications of the situation with the broken rock that is when the ghosting began. We would call and receive the standard, "we are working on it". Then the phone calls began to be ignored. No information, no call back and no guidance and even hang ups. Basically they were great until they weren't. It is a shame that a business treats their customers this way. We were very patient and dealt with the situation very professionally and with aloha. Our contractor called, the subcontractor called, the homeowners called, all to no avail. They even started to screen the calls. They went out of their way to ignore us. It would have been easier to let us know it could take a while and explain the process. Our family from Hawaii wanted to help us and speak to Big Rock Fabrications. They would assure them that they were looking into it and we should hear from them real soon. Fast forward... we still do not have our rock. We have an unfinished project. We were not ever offered a solution. This is a big lesson for us, the homeowner. We had not updated our home in thirty years. We should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Had we done so we would have learned that Big Rock Fabrications is not BBB Accredited. That is their choice , but a company that is BBB Accredited builds trust with their customers, advertises honestly, tells the truth, is transparent, honors their promises, are responsive, safeguards privacy, and embody integrity. Late in the engagement, we discovered a significant error (my mistake), and they sprung into action to rectify it and did so in the most professional and fair way possible. Todd Branson specializes in premium countertops, so it didn't seem like he could come down to our budget. But he just happens to have some single slabs left over from larger projects. We came to an agreement very quickly and his account manager, Michelle, was very easy to work with. Todd came to our home to personally to take measurements for cutting the slab. Todd arrived as expected right on time. He set up some very sensitive laser equipment to perform the task. He listened to our design preferences and made us aware of options such as increasing the edge height to hide the sub-countertop. Todd's measurements must have been very good because the installation only took a couple of hours. He got as much stone out of that slab as humanly possible and apologized for not having enough to make one of the seams disappear. It is the most beautiful countertop we have ever seen. And my wife and I are very house-y.
