To the person below recommending Riney Management... I can assure you... I knew people that lived in other condos, and I have talked to them and they all did not like them at all... Someone I am friends with who wasliving in Hopkinton did not like them. I want to say that comment below must have the wool pulled over their eyes... he's a good con man that's for sure... And he talks a good game. His answer is basically no he has an answer for everything and it's not in your favor. Not accommodating at ALL! They're pretty ok. One of the main issue is that they're all inclusive which makes it hard to switch one of the services out if you're not completely happy with it. Overral they're not bad but they could improve. Will change review in the future once they improve. read more

If your looking for management company that takes all your money and then provides "0" service and "0" manmagent then these are your guys. If you want a company that hires contractors that suck up all the money then leave you rot when theres an issue or emegency these are your guys. If you want to have to shovel yourself out 48hrs after a blizzard when everyone else has been out for days after you pay for snow removal these are your guys. If you want contractors on your site that are rude, ignorant and keep you up all night, and tell you to eff off when asked why they're not doig theyre job then again these are your guys. At the end of the day this is not a communication problem or management problem its a "they have your money and could care less about your concerns problem". Please do not throw your money away on these people or give them any businses and hopefiully eventually they will go out of business and no one will have to get rob from them again. read more

Building is in total disrepair with high condo fees. Whenever this is brought to managements attention they claim there are no funds available. Absolute worst condo management company I have ever seen! Owners beware! read more

I completely disagree with the others here. First, I am a trustee of my own condo association. Second, I am actively employed in real estate development, so I understand a thing or two about real estate and property management issues. My Association fired our last management company and ran an exhaustive search of management companies in the area. Riney has been our condo manager for about 6 years now. We are kept apprised, and have a much better situation than before with money, work, and maintenance. Sure, there are some quirks-- for example, we were previously with an 'all-inclusive' type of company, but the problem with those types of companies is that you have no recourse when (landscaping, or plowing, for example) fouls up-- you can't ask for another contractor-- your management co IS the contractor. In addition, I think it's important to ask who is writing these reviews-- a disgruntled resident? They need to request certain things from their association, who directs the management to take certain actions, and other actions may be denied by the association. In summary, although managing properties and residents is a challenge, I would endorse Riney Management and recommend them over others in the region. I just talked to one of the trustees for our condos. She said that they had to get rid of Riney a couple of years ago. She also said that she couldn't tell me why, but she was telling everyone that she knows to stay away from Riney for anything. I asked her why she couldn't tell me, but all she would say is that it is has to do with why he is no longer our management company. I told her I've got a friend that's in a condo and he thinks Riney is their company. She said that anyone who has Riney needs to make sure that Riney is not a signer on any of their accounts. She said that they don't need to be to manage the property. Riney can manage the bills and make out checks for the trustees and bring them to a trustee to be signed once or twice a month so that the bills can be paid. This way Riney can't take money out without trust approval or without them knowing. I don't know why they got rid of him, but it sounds like there wasn't a lot of trust. Go with them if you need to, but protect yourself. read more

I currently live at one of their properties and this place is disgusting. Mice, stinkbugs, and other disgusting beings live with you. The management takes weeks at a time to respond and come to fix things. Sometimes it take up to 3 times for them to fix whatever it is broken as well. They come to your door whenever they want, with no advance notice. The laundry machines are broken a lot of the time because theyre at least 20 years old. The place is in no way inexpensive and it should be. There are prevention methods for the rodents in place that do not work. The workers they hired to renovate the buildings balconies and sidings were horrible. The two workers they had hired would start every morning for 3 months straight at about 730 am, with their own radio blasted to where you could hear it from the other side of the building. This company is truly the scum of the Earth if they try to argue any of this and if they do try to, i will post a follow up review with pictures of the stinkbugs and rodent prevention methods set in place as proof. Do not rent from this scum of a company. I would like to add though, for the greater good, that the maintenance guys are decent. Theyre not that rude or anything like that, not sure why so many people have that listed in their complaints. They also go up 25 dollars per year you stay. You see moving trucks for people moving out every few months. It makes you feel like you live in a hospital with patients switching in and out of rooms. read more

If I could have given a lower rating I would! After speaking with Kevin Riney, I found his response to the rodent problem in my apartment completely unacceptable (I reported it on a Monday and got my response on a Friday!). ¬I asked for someone to come up to look under my sink for any live mice and he basically ignored my request. He was amazed that I had not yet disposed of the dead mouse (which I put out on my balcony inside the barrel where it died) because of the threat of disease to me. His response that they are field mice that come inside when the weather gets cold and that they "bait" the mice in the basement in the laundry room which makes them look for water. They get up into the units (mine was dead under my kitchen sink) looking for water. He referred to the problem as "mother nature". I stated I have never lived anywhere that had this "mother nature" problem. He stated he had them at his home and the home of the owner of the complex. A common sense solution would be to put WATER down in the basement where the mice can activate the poison and DIE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perhaps he doesn't know about this: http://www.cdc.gov/rodents/diseases/direct.html I have a deadly auto immune disease called Lupus and I am susceptible to disease MUCH more than a person with a normal healthy immune system. I will NOT pay my rent going forward until an authorized exterminator comes into my apartment and performs the duties necessary to kill these rodents. I will not risk my health for this. I am a good tenant that pays my rent on time every month. I will also be contacting the board of health and see what measures they feel I should take to make my living environment healthy. I have NEVER lived with rodents or any other kind of pests in my LIFE. I will not start now paying my ENTIRE social security check for rent. This response to me was that of a slum lord.
