I'm a longtime, but intermittent visitor of Paradise Fibers because I live 5 hours away. I bought…read moremy Lendrum spinning wheel there many years ago and it was in need of service. I drove over Fri, May 22nd expecting to drop off my wheel, and then make the trek again in a week or two to pick it back up (1-2 weeks is a customary, and fair, turnaround rate for a wheel servicing). Jaden had me spin a bit so she could assess the issue. Within 15 minutes she talked to me more...it was an easy fix and when she found out how long my drive was, she said she would turn it around that afternoon! I went and gassed up the car, had lunch, then came back and had a repaired wheel and a stack of fiber I also bought (seriously, just the smell of the yarn and wool is enough to fully intoxicate any knitter or spinner!). I was so excited on my drive back home. Jaden is a Wheel Wizard and the incredible kindness of her and all the staff made my 10 hour drive yesterday such a great way to kick off a long weekend! I wish I lived closer to the physical store location, but I will continue to be a big fan of Paradise Fibers. In this workd of increasing automation and bits, it is just so wonderful to interact with a store full of friendly and engaged enthusiasts who just happen to also be employees.

Hen we came into the store we were absolutely amazed by the selection of things. One of the owners was coming around giving out fresh scones they just made for free, which were absolutely delicious. We also got a tour of the entire building by said owner, who was absolutely wonderful to talk to. He showed us all sorts of things about the building and answered all of our questions, then he patiently helped us check out as we were giving him lots of stuff to weigh and wrap near closing time. Everything was very reasonably priced as well! Absolutely amazing business that seems to do so much for their community! Absolutely going to visit again. I could not recommend this place enough!

Great little art co-op downtown…read more I stopped in to pick up a print I had purchased from a local artist and was impressed by all the amazing items in the store. Prints, pottery, baskets, woodwork, and a lot more. You could spend a bit of time in the store and come away with some unique, one of a kind local art pieces. Located just behind Aunties Bookstore, next to Barrister's tasting room. You could make a great local day perusing books, art, tasting local wine, and walking the park. I can't wait to go back for a longer browse and purchase an item or two for Mother's Day.

They are very knowledgeable about what is in the store and willing to talk to you about anything if you have any questions. It is all local artists, so it makes for great souvenirs for people coming in from out of town. Or even for locals who want something made locally to decorate their house. One of the really cool things is that each month they have an art show that showcases both artists in their gallery and others who are interested in participating. The work is always changing in both the gallery and the shows so you aren't walking in and seeing the same stuff every time. I find this particularly fun and cool because it gives you a reason to go back and just explore what they have and see new things. It's a small little galley that is located in the Liberty building, right where Auntie's Bookstore and Uncle's games is. However, we were not happy with how they fired our pottery since the colors have melted and did not come out as expected. I reached out to them and they couldn't do anything about it. I wish they did a better job with educating customers how to use colors and what to avoid so they don't screw it up in the firing process. I've been to other places like this and this is definitely the most expensive one, plus doesn't do a great job on their end.
