i will be recommending anyone for that Southern Experience with chef Layah. It's worth EVERYTIMEread more

Very welcoming and passionate. OMG!! This woman can…read moreCOOOOOOOOOK!! She's very personable and you really just want to give her a hug and chat it up like home girls. The process was super simple. I found her on yelp. She hit me back probably w/in 15-20 minutes. I wanted a nice meal made for my wedding anniversary. Year 11 married for Hubby and I. I knew I wanted steak and potatoes. She came up w/the chimmichurri (which I knew I loved), zuppa tuscana and infused strawberry shortcake. She and her assistant/sous chef came over a little bit early (I was a little late ) and she was just awesome! Very warm, personable and knows what she's doing. They were ein my kitchen working their magic and the smell of mouth watering food filled the house. The soup was done first. Hubby basically melted into the chair after his first bite. Seriously! It was flavorful and light abs presented in a very simple but comfort food way. 10 out of 10! A bit later the steak, loaded potato abs brussel sprouts came out. BOOM!! Looked good as f*ck and tasted out of this world! The steak was seasoned well w/out being salty or over done. There was a slight non spicy zing from the chimichurri. Also need to note the chimmichurri tasted so fresh, and flavorful I wanted to eat just the chimnichurri w/a spoon or slather it on EVERYTHING!! I definitely ate at least have of my brussel sprouts w/this magical, fresh, herby sauce.... because it was that damn good! Eating this had me thinking up schemes... ahem plans to get Layha to stay and cook more... or everything . I can and end very much enjoy cooking... but now I feel like I can't go back to my own cooking (woman womp). Oh well. I already booked Chef Layha for New Year, my birthday and Mother's day before the meal was completed. She also made these cute and small bourbon infused strawberry shortcakes. Real strawberries. Simple delicious, and juicy flavor. NOT SOGGY at all. Not overly sweet. Flippin awesome ! She also made some rotelle nachos for my kiddos when they get out of school later. I'll be tasting that very soon. Probably right after I hit the post button . Either way Chef Layha has some real talent. She made my day as well as my husband's. Her food was impeccable. She cleaned up my kitchen after the meal and there's plenty extra food. We're going to enjoy this food the rest of this weekend. For real!! I'm so looking forward to our next meal(s) from her. I hope others catch on to her talent... but a tiny selfish side of me is hoping I get to keep her to myself. Sorry not sorry

Phew! Please take time to read the other reviews about how expensive it is because they're all spot…read moreon & take time to read them going back 6 months. This review is solely constructive feedback for the owners & for new customers. I'm visiting from Houston and go to a place called Hot Bagel that's located in a multi million dollar neighborhood and they charge $2 for a bagel AND spread together - here it's $6 all together for a bagel and spread that's a 300% increase. Not sure why the owner replied to a previous review saying the price was included when clearly on their menu it's two separate charges (images below). I can see why they may be charging these prices from a small business standpoint as a business consultant but I think they really need to reevaluate there overhead if most complaints are about prices because it is a bit ridiculous. Maybe don't buy merch starting off as a new opened business that's trying to establish a customer base first? FOOD: We got the big bad with avocado spread, hot pig, blueberry bagel with cream cheese. The blueberry bagel was AMAZING. As you can see by the photo they definitely do for sure load it with cream cheese! Better to take it off than to ask for more. Both sandwiches were also good as well! The cost for these 3 items PLUS two drinks came out to $42 with tax. Staff was friendly, establishment was clean & overall food came out quickly. Overall, really don't understand some of these prices especially if i go to one back home that's also a local small business in a prime prestige location and they don't charge this much for a simple bagel but they do have the foot traffic to make up for it compared to here. I think the owners should really scale back on some prices but can understand why they may not be able to due to being a small business. Or offer residents in the area a locals discount to build that fan base.

I am glad a bagel shop like this opened in Temple! The food is pretty good, I usually go for the…read morelox bagel sandwich, but have also tried others. The food tastes good, however, sometimes the bagels are a bit hard. Their coffee is decent as well. The restaurant itself is spacious and there has always been seating available, although, sometimes the tabletops have not been wiped down in a timely manner. The service is good, the staff is always friendly and seems to be having fun at their job. I also like that there is a drive thru when you are on the go!
