This is the best Mexican food country. The chili Rojo is amazing. Mirna is fantastic. He will be very happy if you eat there. All of the food items are great and the service is very good.

The best mexican food in town!! Authentic, clean, amazing staffs and the best burrito! We have been coming here since 1998.

    Bandaid in Torta Cubana

I had submitted a great review from the first time I came here. The food and everything was good and I had a great view on this restaurant. I later on came here for my third time at night and sadly when I got home I found a bandaid wrapped in my torta. I decided to call in for manager and was told that they walk in whenever they want and have No specific time to service me. Very disappointed how this changed my view, it made me sick. I have decided to leave everything as is but please be aware of such situation. I hope your employees wear gloves... Thanks.

Cute little neighborhood place in Reseda. Would definitely visit again, probably trying the tortas next time :) Pros: - lots of protein options as well as vegetarian, easy to read menu - for the most part easy parking, small lot but street plenty aplenty - flavorable meals - we got the al pastor and carnitas burrito, both were good, a little spicy/salty but it's based on personal preference - chips and salsa were DELICIOUS and fresh - not the cheapest as our burritos were around $12 but it is super filling, I saved a portion for lunch and was still full for dinner Cons: - cash only

The Asada in my Torta de carne asada looks like beef jerky. Disappointing.

I don't recommend this place to anyone. Its a shame because I support small businesses but not when they try to rip you off. I've been here a handful of times and got something different to give it a chance. This time I got an asada torta. The piece of meat was the thinnest cut I've ever been served as "carne asada" it was thinner than a slice of bacon. Ridiculous. Didn't taste good at all either. I was curious as to how they have 4 stars... well by reading their 5 star reviews, it's obvious most of them are made up. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Asada and egg torta. Best breakfast sandwich!

Love the number 1 with asada and love the cook, Pilar. Sweet lady and great food. 10/10!

Huarache was so delicious. Nice people and they went beyond service. Definitely recommend it.

I am surprised that I've never reviewed Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant. The food portions are pretty big for me, the meat has always been supper soft. I enjoy the tacos, sopes, nachos, and the agua frescas. They owner and the workers are attentive and friendly. They take a while to prepare your food but it's okay with me because it's cooked well and taste amazing

From the moment your plate hits the table, you can tell you're in for something special. The burrito is massive, perfectly wrapped, and completely smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that strikes that ideal balance between bold and comforting. Every bite is loaded with well-seasoned meat, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of cheese melted over the top. What really sets Las Fuentes apart is the depth of flavor. The sauce isn't just an afterthought--it's the star, tying everything together with a savory, slightly tangy kick that keeps you coming back for more. The rice and beans on the side are just as impressive, clearly made with care and not just filler on the plate. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the overall experience feels authentic and satisfying. It came with a side plate of spices (oregano, chile de arbol), sliced lemons, chopped onions, and cilantro. The chicken taquitos dorados (a la carte) were flavorful, tasty, and moist. There were also a bit larger than other locations. They were served on a bed of lettuce, half guacamole and half sour cream, and some cheese. Ordered Chilaquiles (verdes - choice of green or red). It came with rice, beans topped with shredded cheese, and 2 eggs (choice of over easy). It's a small place that feels like home away from home cooked meals. Overall, definitely coming back.

No table service, but able to order at the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Once the food was served, great customer service. The young lady kept checking in on us if we needed anything else. We ordered Menudo which was a little more oily than normal, a bit bland. The meat was fatty, no hominy, and about half of the bowl had meat. Served corn tortillas and with side of cilantro, onions, chile de arbol, lime, and oregano. Also ordered a combo of Chile Colorado with rice and beans. The beef was tender, tasty rice, but the beans tasted like from a can (not homemade), and 4 corn tortillas. 2 large drinks (size of cup were the almost the size of napkin holder - A+). Overall, it was ok.

Let's start off with location wise it's very centrally located in the valley so you can get to it fairly quick. Parking was not it's best. It is on Ventura Blvd so street parking is very difficult. They do have onsite parking in the back but there's only about 5 spots only and it seems like most of them are take either by staff or delivery vehicles. Now walking into this place you are def transported into a very lively Mexican culture that is undeniably amazing. I loved the decor and how you just feel at home. They are playing music the whole time loud enough for you to feel the vibes but still be able to have conversations. Now the food let me just say 10/10. I had the mole the presentation is amazing and the taste of it is even better. My fiancé had the aguachiles con mango which he says are also a 10/10. Finally my mother ordered the queso birria tacos which were pretty good as well. The margarita flight was def my favorite, I am not a big margarita fan as they tend to be a bit sweet for my liking but these were actually pretty well balanced and delicious. Overall I had a great experience the service was good. Will def be coming back and will recommend.

It's practically one of my life mottos and definitely belongs in my bag full of clichés. Another one of my favorite sayings is: don't take a Mexican girl to a Mexican restaurant--she'll never be happy. It's not really the restaurant's fault. My mom is just too good of a Mexican cook, so the bar is set ridiculously high. That being said, Sol y Luna does a lot of things right. The salsa here is amazing, and that's one of the biggest ways I judge a Mexican restaurant. If the salsa isn't good, we're already off to a bad start. Thankfully, that's not a problem here.I also love that they prepare the guacamole tableside. It's always fun to watch, and it doesn't get much fresher than that. Over the years, I've also run into quite a few famous people here, which adds a little extra excitement to the experience. Another thing I look for is mole. It's one of the most complicated and time-consuming Mexican recipes to make, and I absolutely judge a restaurant by whether they can pull it off. Today I went with tacos. They were okay, but for me the real standouts remain the salsa, the guacamole, and the overall atmosphere. If you're looking for a lively spot with great salsa, fresh tableside guacamole, and a little celebrity-spotting potential, Sol y Luna is worth it
