    Burrito menu July 2025

I stopped by Castillo this morning to get a breakfast burrito. I was in the area after visiting Costco and this place was the closest to me. I found parking just fine in the small plaza this place is located in so it will be a hit or miss when you come. I asked what was in the breakfast burrito and just asked for no beans. It didn't take them long to make it and I took it home. The breakfast burrito comes with chips, salsa and red sauce. The customer service was fine when I was here, they handed my order to me when it was ready. I thought the breakfast burrito was very greasy and started dripping when I took the first bite. It also kept dripping while I was eating it so I think all the grease was building up. The chips were stale, so I only ate like 1 piece and I didn't like the red sauce. The pico de gallo was good though.

    Menudo has no hominy.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I am very disappointed this morning with our food from Castillo, it was our first time trying this restaurant too. It was a to-go order so our disappointment initially was when we got home and found NO hominy in the menudo, would have been good to know that's how they make it, then the broth was bland too, not much flavor. We ordered the salsa verde plate too and I think it was just ok, not impressed. The other thing to top it off was that it was overpriced, we wouldn't mind having paid $41 (2 sodas included) for this if the food was actually good. I give it two stars because the service is friendly and the restaurant looks clean.

Came here for breakfast. I went with the huevos rancheros. Let me say this they weren't what I expected. Im use to the hard fried tortilla but, the food was great. The rice and beans taste good. The sauce for the eggs taste good also. Came on a Sunday morning it was not busy which I liked. Their cashier and cook were friendly pretty welcoming.

Was in the area and craving machaca. So glad I found this place on Yelp. It was early in the day so not crowded. It's a small place, nothing fancy, and pretty hidden. Friendly service, accommodating, and quick. Ordered a machaca plate, an asada burrito, and horchata. Free chips and salsa when dining in. The spicy salsa was so dang good and made my scalp sweat! Everything was so delicious, including the rice and beans. The ratio of meat to rice in the burrito was on point. Will definitely be back!

The cafe is 2 floors with lots of seating, both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely a great spot to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey Latte and the Popcorn Chicken. My drink came out pretty fast, while the popcorn chicken took around 10 minutes. I loved the latte! The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking. Overall, I really liked the space and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks!

Do not order their seasonal drink item Passionfruit mint lemonade, no lemon juice, no mint Nothing citrusy, not even passion fruit purée, really disappointed. So it seemed fitting to honor both of them and it satisfied my craving. The catered memorial looked great but it was difficult to make a proper plate. I always crave matzo ball soup. Luckily I had my fan to help cool off my soup. I did add a little salt and pepper. Other than that it was total comfort. $15 We shared a club sandwich and got French fries instead. All the condiments, Russian dressing, ranch come in prepackaged little containers. Ranch tasted fresh and homemade. I used a little of the Russian dressing. Is that a Brent's thing? $22 + $3 for French fries. I wanted a little sweet and got the blueberry cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake ever. Actual blueberries inside the cheesecake. So creamy and delicious. $11 Pickles are always my favorite. I got bagel chips with my matzo ball soup. I ordered corned beef and cabbage for my 99 year old mom. She said she didn't like the cabbage, no taste. She's 99 ‍ It's been a while since I was there. It feels the same. Booths and tables. Same decor. Our server Laura was super sweet and patient. Helpful in our decision making. Ricardo cracked me up because he brought a small soup container for my friend's cabbage soup. She was a little perturbed it was too small. Ricardo insisted it would fit and it did PERFECTLY.

When you're tired of the breakfast burrito game, Egg Tuck is the easy go-to that reminds you breakfast can be simple, elegant, and incredibly satisfying all at once. The Avo Egg sandwich is a must. Pillow soft scrambled eggs piled high on a soft brioche-style dark bread with fresh avocado and a delicious house sauce topped with chives. The bread was slightly on the darker side but it didn't detract from the overall experience one bit -- every bite was rich, creamy, and satisfying. These are genuinely some of the best eggs in the city and at around $11 for the sandwich it's a fair price for the quality you're getting. Don't skip the tater tots. Crispy, hot, and perfectly cooked -- the small comes in at just $2.50 and the large is $5.29, making them one of the better value sides you'll find anywhere. They pair perfectly with the sandwich.
