Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in all of LA. The hole-in-the-wall vibe, the Spanish sports TV, the service, the delicious food. I don't even eat seafood, but I order the carne asada tacos and enchilada combo and it's just so good. The homemade salsa is one of my favorites. This place is a hole in the wall. It should be called the restaurant in the parking lot. They have a very big menu with Mariscos. The service was really nice. And the price is great considering how expensive everything is now a days. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp and Carne Asada. It was very tasty. The only thing is that the Carne Asada was flavorful, but very tough. Otherwise, I enjoyed it a lot. I would definitely come back. read more

The second time I've been here and I loved it as much as the first time. I love seafood so their menu drew me in. First time I came I got the shrimp ceviche which was excellent. This time I got the carne asada plate with shrimp and hubby got a burrito. We loved it! It tastes very good and the price is right. Food is well seasoned too. Went to lunch with a family friend, and we didn't know where to go. Cruising along Sherman Way Blvd, we went to try a nearby Chinese restaurant but they were closed. In that parking lot, we saw the enclosed tent for this restaurant and decided to give it a try! Neither of us had been there or knew of it, but it turned out to be a great lunch! It was a windy day, the enclosure outside kept the dining experience wonderfully comfortable. The staff were personable and friendly, and did a great job of checking on us to make sure if we needed anything else. She had shrimp enchiladas, and I had a chicken taco and enchilada combination plate. The food was delicious. The rice, however, was more of a rice pilaf then Mexican rice but it was still good. One of the best authentic Mexican style shrimp cocktails around! Period! They also have fabulous ceviche as well. The warm and crunchy tostado is a nice touch. Chips and salsa here are yummy. Ice cold Mexican cokes. Jarritos selection is great, and also ice cold. Ice cold beers. They have seating inside and they do take out / to go orders. During this whole Covid thing they have some limited outdoor seating. The employees are all nice. The owner is a sweetheart and is great with customers. The flavor here drives me crazy... in a good way :-) Check this place out! Add a little hot sauce, lime and a splash of ketchup to your cocktail. It's delicious!!! read more

Came here with my co-workers and I was a little hesitant at first just because it was empty. I ended up trying the shrimp cocktail and OMG I was very surprised on how much shrimp they had put in there. The taste was amazing and over all a great experience. This place has all the signs of a wonderful, Mexican, hole in the wall. The tiny, difficult to find location, the homey interior and the sweet, pregnant, 20 something waitress. The one thing that they sadly do not have is great food. Generous portions do not make up for mediocre quality and tough, frozen shrimp just does not cut it in a seafood restaurant. So step outside El Cancun, close your eyes and wander for a 60 count in any direction and you'll probably find yourself in a better Mexican restaurant. Review that place and tell me what you think. from outaide, it looks a small restaurant, but once you get inside, the space and atmosphere is astonishingly welcoming and spacious. I came here at the recommendation of a friend, specifically for their fish and shrimp menu. I wasn't disappointed. The taste is exceptionally just perfect. The shrimp is grilled to perfection and a few drops of Tapatio made it for me. Tried their grilled fish and in another visit tried their fried fish. All great here and the prices are very reasonable too. Churros at the end is the cherry on top. The place is very own loud and alive. So come prepared for this or bring Tylenol for headache if you come with one. read more

I wish I could leave a better review. I like to support small restaurants. But it was a long wait before the food arrived. The rice and beans were cold. The quesadilla was cold, having sat on the counter where I could see it getting cold. So the cheese wasn't delicious and melty, and the tortilla was hard. Seriously, I make them at home. It isn't difficult. Just get it to the customer before it cools off. My friend said her food was okay but nothing special. One of the good things about a small restaurant is that they can add some delicious special touches to the food. That doesn't seem to be happening here. Service was slow, but polite. There's a big parking lot. I won't be returning, but it wasn't the worst place I've ever been. Maybe they should hire a different cook who can bring some creativity to the dishes. And please, serve the food hot. read more
