I've been here a few times the past year and a half. The first few times were ok. However previous to last time I was here I was getting my acrylics removed. NEVER have I ever had a nail tech create so many little cuts on my cuticles. Why? Because the whole time she was doing my nails she was talking on FaceTime. So unprofessional!!. You can't be doing someone's nails while on FaceTime. I was so disappointed. I paid though and didn't come back for awhile. Until the other day, I was getting nails for my prom. I was getting a pedicure, which on the board it says gel toes $35... +$15 chrome. so why was it that my nails cost 70? I asked the lady and she just said it was higher price. I still paid. However my chrome was done HORRIBLY. The chrome is messy around my nails and the lady didn't even wipe it off around. Don't get me started on my friends nails. ( I'll insert the picture) Her toes looked fine. Her fingers on the other hand looked like a toddler did them. There's bumps ALL throughout her nails. The corners are missing chrome and polish. This place has gone down hill. And for 180 dollars between the two of us I expected WAY more. The ladies are nice, but unprofessional!!. I only came here because I figured I'd give it another chance and also because Kevin's nails is hard to get into. But it will be worth the wait for him because I'm not coming here again and do not recommend this place to anyone. Your money is better spent on press ons.

    What I asked for

I had an appointment at 12 and didnt get taken until 1. My nails look horrible. I had a picture that ive gotten done before and they looked nothing like the picture. at other salons my nails have costed between 50 and 60 but these ones were 75. ill just leave these photos here.

The worst customer service I've received in a nail salon. I was quoted $40 for a gel manicure but when it came time to pay I was charged $50 because they said I had color polish?!? Nail cracked after 5 days. When I went back to have it repaired I was accused of never being there, was grilled about where I sat and told it would be a 2 hour wait to fix 1 nail. Nail was finally fixed after an hour

I had never been to Rio Nails before but I was in the area and figured I would give it a try. I walked in with broken, 3 week old, way too thick acrylic nails from a place in Miami and Kevin took me right away. All I told him was that my nails were way too thick for my liking. He began working away and as soon as he started to fill my very first nail I could tell we were going to get along great. He took his time, paid attention, and used the smallest amount of product needed to create the desired thickness (actually lack of) that I wanted. Before he even sanded my nails to shape and buff they were practically perfect. Once the polish went on I fell in love with my nails, and I'll admit to being a picky client when it comes to having acrylic nails. The only negative about my appointment, which really isn't that bad, is that I was charged $28 when a fill is advertised as $20. Kevin did end up putting on two new tips, but when I asked for the breakdown for the price he said that each extra tip cost $2 and that the removal of my gel polish was $4. I'm skeptical because never in my manicuring life have I been charged for the removal of gel polish on acrylic nails. Don't they have to sand them anyway? All in all I had a pleasant experience and the next time I'm back in the area I will be returning for my fill.

Add a really rushed and terrible manicure to the whole eyebrow episode

Thats not the complaint. When I went to soak off my nails with 100% acetone I come to find out they used MMA monomer on my nails, Instead of an easy 15-20 minute soak off and them scraping right off it turned into a 2 hour long scraping gooey and extremely sticky acrylic mess and drilling my nails because of how fast they kept drying out and it started becoming extremely painful my hands were covered in it making it hard to move them I eventually had to scrub my hands with steel wool to even gain a little mobility back because of how much product was covered in my hands from a single soak, and it would dry so quickly it was be nearly impossible to pull apart. The lady who did my service AMAZING she got my nails down to the inspiration photo but using products that are not made for this is a big no no for me, I still have so much acrylic left on my nails but I'm at the point I'm just going to have to let my nails naturally grow them out which will be long and painful when it's time to trim them. I'm extremely disappointed with the actual products that were used.
